Predsjednik Europskog parlamenta Antonio Tajani opet je u četvrtak uznemirio duhove provokativnim izjavama o talijanskom fašizmu koje se mogu shvatiti kao povijesni revizionizam, ustvrdivši da je talijanski fašistički diktator Benito Mussolini "napravio i neke dobre stvari".
"Prije nego što je Mussolini objavio rat cijelom svijetu...napravio je i neke dobre stvari, izgradio je infrastrukturu u našoj državi", kazao je Tajani za Radio24, prenosi u četvrtak Slovenska tiskovna agencija (STA).
"Nisam fašist i nikad nisam bio. No ako želimo biti iskreni izgradio je ceste, mostove, zgrade i sportske objekte", kazao je predsjednik Europskog parlamenta koji je član grupacije Europske pučke stranke (EPP).
Tom je izjavom Tajani izazvao burne reakcije prije svega u političkoj skupini socijaldemokrata. Vođa te skupine u Europskom parlamentu Udo Bullman označio je takve izjave kao "nevjerojatne" i zatražio pojašnjenje.
"Kako može predsjednik Europskog parlamenta ne priznavati prirodu fašizma. Potrebno je da se to odmah pojasni", napisao je Bullman na Twitteru.
Reagirala je i slovenska europarlamentarka Tanja Fajon, koja je također postavila pitanje o tome kako se moglo dogoditi da Tajani napravi takav nevjerojatan 'gaf'.
"Kako je moguće da predsjednik Europskog parlamenta tako promaši i pokaže toliko nerazumijevanja vezano uz prirodu fašizma i poznavanje povijesti. Tražit ćemo njegovo pojašnjenje", kazala je Fajon.
Odgovarajući na prve reakcije i kritike Tajani je rekao da "treba biti sram one koji manipuliraju" njegovim riječima te naglasio da je "uvijek bio uvjereni antifašist".
Predsjednik Europskog parlamenta prije mjesec dana je izazvao žestoke kritike slovenske i hrvatske javnosti, uključujući i političke čelnike, zbog svoje izjave koja je ocijenjena kao povijesni revizionizam.
On je na proslavi dana talijanskih žrtava fojbi u Bazovici kod Trsta na kraju govora pred potomcima talijanskih esula uskliknuo: "Neka živi talijanski Trst, talijanska Istra i talijanska Dalmacija", što je protumačeno kao izražavanje teritorijalnih pretenzija prema dijelovima Hrvatske i Slovenije.
Nakon oštrih reakcija Tajani je izrazio duboko žaljenje i ispričao se.

Predsjednik Europskog parlamenta Antonio Tajani opet je u četvrtak uznemirio duhove provokativnim izjavama o talijanskom fašizmu koje se mogu shvatiti kao povijesni revizionizam, ustvrdivši da je talijanski fašistički diktator Benito Mussolini "napravio i neke dobre stvari".
"Prije nego što je Mussolini objavio rat cijelom svijetu...napravio je i neke dobre stvari, izgradio je infrastrukturu u našoj državi", kazao je Tajani za Radio24, prenosi u četvrtak Slovenska tiskovna agencija (STA).
"Nisam fašist i nikad nisam bio. No ako želimo biti iskreni izgradio je ceste, mostove, zgrade i sportske objekte", kazao je predsjednik Europskog parlamenta koji je član grupacije Europske pučke stranke (EPP).
Tom je izjavom Tajani izazvao burne reakcije prije svega u političkoj skupini socijaldemokrata. Vođa te skupine u Europskom parlamentu Udo Bullman označio je takve izjave kao "nevjerojatne" i zatražio pojašnjenje.
"Kako može predsjednik Europskog parlamenta ne priznavati prirodu fašizma. Potrebno je da se to odmah pojasni", napisao je Bullman na Twitteru.
Reagirala je i slovenska europarlamentarka Tanja Fajon, koja je također postavila pitanje o tome kako se moglo dogoditi da Tajani napravi takav nevjerojatan 'gaf'.
"Kako je moguće da predsjednik Europskog parlamenta tako promaši i pokaže toliko nerazumijevanja vezano uz prirodu fašizma i poznavanje povijesti. Tražit ćemo njegovo pojašnjenje", kazala je Fajon.
Odgovarajući na prve reakcije i kritike Tajani je rekao da "treba biti sram one koji manipuliraju" njegovim riječima te naglasio da je "uvijek bio uvjereni antifašist".
Predsjednik Europskog parlamenta prije mjesec dana je izazvao žestoke kritike slovenske i hrvatske javnosti, uključujući i političke čelnike, zbog svoje izjave koja je ocijenjena kao povijesni revizionizam.
On je na proslavi dana talijanskih žrtava fojbi u Bazovici kod Trsta na kraju govora pred potomcima talijanskih esula uskliknuo: "Neka živi talijanski Trst, talijanska Istra i talijanska Dalmacija", što je protumačeno kao izražavanje teritorijalnih pretenzija prema dijelovima Hrvatske i Slovenije.
Nakon oštrih reakcija Tajani je izrazio duboko žaljenje i ispričao se.
