Europska komisija je u srijedu predstavila niz prijedloga za lakšu provedbu protokola o Sjevernoj Irskoj, ključnog dijela sporazuma o brexitu, ali inzistira na tome da se potpisani ugovori moraju provoditi i da se o njima ne može ponovno pregovarati.
“Ovo je prijedlog čvrstog paketa kreativnih, praktičnih rješenja, osmišljenih kako bi se pomoglo Sjevernoj Irskoj u suočavanju s posljedicama brexita i kako bi istodobno dodatno profitirala od Protokola”, izjavio je potpredsjednik Komisije Maroš Šefčovič, dodajući da je riječ o “paketu poboljšanih mogućnosti”.
Komisija ističe da su ovi prijedlozi novi model za provedbu ovog protokola koji značajno smanjuju administrativne prepreke.
Velika Britanija je izlaskom iz EU-a napustila i jedinstveno europsko tržište, ali je morala pristati da njezina pokrajina Sjeverna Irska ostane dijelom toga tržišta kako se ne morale uvoditi granične kontrole na irskom otoku, koje bi mogle ugroziti teško stečeni mir.
Zbog toga su uvedene kontrole robe koja ide s britanskog otoka u Sjevernu Irsku, a što London od prvog dana pokušava promijeniti i traži nove pregovore o tom pitanju.
EU na to odgovara da neće ponovo pregovarati o sporazumu koji su obje strane potpisale u dobroj vjeri i poziva Britaniju da pronađe rješenja umjesto da prijeti.
Prema prijedlogu Komisije uklonilo bi se 80 posto kontrola koje se sada moraju obavljati za široki raspon proizvoda, a carinske formalnosti bile bi smanjene za 50 posto, uspostavom “brzih trakova” za proizvode namijenjene za tržište u Sjevernoj Irskoj. To bi uvelike trebalo olakšati uvoz proizvoda životinjskog podrijetla, poput jogurta, sira ili mesa, iz Velike Britanije u Sjevernu Irsku.
Kamionu koji prevozi različite prehrambene proizvode iz Velike Britanije u Sjevernu Irsku, poput mliječnih proizvoda i povrća, sada bi trebao samo jedan certifikat, osim u slučaju visokorizičnih proizvoda, dodaje Komisija.

Šefčovič kaže da su ovi prijedlozi alternativni model za provedbu protokola. S jedne strane, protok robe između Velike Britanije i Sjeverne Irske bit će olakšan za proizvode koji ostaju Sjevernoj Irskoj, a s druge strane, uvode se snažne mjere nadzora koje će biti uspostavljene kako bi se zajamčilo da roba ostaje u Sjevernoj Irskoj.
Za EU je prvi prioritet sačuvati integritet jedinstvenog tržišta i stoga želi izbjeći da Sjeverna Irska postane neka vrsta stražnjih vrata kroz koja bi ulazila roba koje ne zadovoljava europske standarde.
Prema prijedlogu Komisije, na proizvodima koji bi se uvozili po pojednostavljenoj proceduri morale bi se staviti etikete da su za “prodaju isključivo u Ujedinjenoj Kraljevini”. Uspostavio bi se mehanizam za brzu reakciju koji bi pomogao u identificiranju problema i njihovom rješavanju.
Komisija ističe da je spremna započeti intenzivne razgovore s britanskom vladom s ciljem postizanja zajednički dogovorenog trajnog rješenja što je prije moguće.

Europska komisija je u srijedu predstavila niz prijedloga za lakšu provedbu protokola o Sjevernoj Irskoj, ključnog dijela sporazuma o brexitu, ali inzistira na tome da se potpisani ugovori moraju provoditi i da se o njima ne može ponovno pregovarati.
“Ovo je prijedlog čvrstog paketa kreativnih, praktičnih rješenja, osmišljenih kako bi se pomoglo Sjevernoj Irskoj u suočavanju s posljedicama brexita i kako bi istodobno dodatno profitirala od Protokola”, izjavio je potpredsjednik Komisije Maroš Šefčovič, dodajući da je riječ o “paketu poboljšanih mogućnosti”.
Komisija ističe da su ovi prijedlozi novi model za provedbu ovog protokola koji značajno smanjuju administrativne prepreke.
Velika Britanija je izlaskom iz EU-a napustila i jedinstveno europsko tržište, ali je morala pristati da njezina pokrajina Sjeverna Irska ostane dijelom toga tržišta kako se ne morale uvoditi granične kontrole na irskom otoku, koje bi mogle ugroziti teško stečeni mir.
Zbog toga su uvedene kontrole robe koja ide s britanskog otoka u Sjevernu Irsku, a što London od prvog dana pokušava promijeniti i traži nove pregovore o tom pitanju.
EU na to odgovara da neće ponovo pregovarati o sporazumu koji su obje strane potpisale u dobroj vjeri i poziva Britaniju da pronađe rješenja umjesto da prijeti.
Prema prijedlogu Komisije uklonilo bi se 80 posto kontrola koje se sada moraju obavljati za široki raspon proizvoda, a carinske formalnosti bile bi smanjene za 50 posto, uspostavom “brzih trakova” za proizvode namijenjene za tržište u Sjevernoj Irskoj. To bi uvelike trebalo olakšati uvoz proizvoda životinjskog podrijetla, poput jogurta, sira ili mesa, iz Velike Britanije u Sjevernu Irsku.
Kamionu koji prevozi različite prehrambene proizvode iz Velike Britanije u Sjevernu Irsku, poput mliječnih proizvoda i povrća, sada bi trebao samo jedan certifikat, osim u slučaju visokorizičnih proizvoda, dodaje Komisija.

Šefčovič kaže da su ovi prijedlozi alternativni model za provedbu protokola. S jedne strane, protok robe između Velike Britanije i Sjeverne Irske bit će olakšan za proizvode koji ostaju Sjevernoj Irskoj, a s druge strane, uvode se snažne mjere nadzora koje će biti uspostavljene kako bi se zajamčilo da roba ostaje u Sjevernoj Irskoj.
Za EU je prvi prioritet sačuvati integritet jedinstvenog tržišta i stoga želi izbjeći da Sjeverna Irska postane neka vrsta stražnjih vrata kroz koja bi ulazila roba koje ne zadovoljava europske standarde.
Prema prijedlogu Komisije, na proizvodima koji bi se uvozili po pojednostavljenoj proceduri morale bi se staviti etikete da su za “prodaju isključivo u Ujedinjenoj Kraljevini”. Uspostavio bi se mehanizam za brzu reakciju koji bi pomogao u identificiranju problema i njihovom rješavanju.
Komisija ističe da je spremna započeti intenzivne razgovore s britanskom vladom s ciljem postizanja zajednički dogovorenog trajnog rješenja što je prije moguće.
