Ljudski život vrijedi samo oko 17 tisuća dolara ili u hrvatskoj valuti 116 tisuća kuna. Barem se tako da zaključiti prema kompenzacijama koje će dobiti obitelji navijača koji su poginuli 24. siječnja ispred Olembe stadiona u Yaoundeu uoči ogleda Afričkog kupa nacija između domaćina Kameruna i Komora. Naime obitelji poginulih dobit će po deset milijuna Centralnoafričkih franaka (valuta u šest država Centralne Afrike), odnosno oko 17 tisuća američkih dolara ili 116 tisuća kuna, iz ukupnog fonda za kompenzacije koji iznosi 84,7 milijuna spomenutih franaka, odnosno 143 tisuće dolara ili 975 tisuća kuna. Tako je još prošlog tjedna objavio predsjednik Kameruna Paul Biya.

Sin jednog od osam navijača poginulih je u pogledu toga poslao jasnu javnu poruku.

- Tih deset milijuna franaka (17 tisuća dolara, nap.a.) kompenzacije neće nikada zamijeniti mog oca! - rekao je za BBC Sport Africa sin jedne od žrtava koji je želio ostati anoniman. No, ipak je istaknuo kako je bolje dobiti išta nego ništa, kao i da još njegova obitelj nije uzela novac jer je njegov otac tek pokopan proteklog vikenda.

- Ne očekujemo više novca jer novac neće vratiti to naše dijete. Još smo u šoku zbog gubitka našeg nećaka – rekao je BBC-u i drugi, također neimenovani izvor.

U sjeni stradanja ljudi u ratom pogođenoj Ukrajini, pala je u drugi plan drama koja se u siječnju dogodila u Kamerunu, kada je osam navijača stradalo ispred Olembe stadiona u gužvi i stampedu uslijed loše organizacije uoči susreta Afričkog kupa nacija. Preveliki broj navijača našao se pred uskim ulazom na južni dio stadiona. Kako je jedno vrijeme ulaz na stadion bio zatvoren nastao je veliki čep. Mnoštvo navijača bilo je nestrpljivo pred ulazom. Kada je konačno otvoren mnogi su poželjeli što prije ući. Pritom su u toj ogromnoj masi ljudi navijači gurani uz ograde, a najnesretniji su se spotaknuli ili su gurnuti i pali su na tlo pa su bili pregaženi od strane mase. U cijelom tom kaosu policija nije na vrijeme uredovala. Među osam poginulih bilo je i dvoje djece od osam i 14 godina. Još 47 navijača je bilo ozlijeđeno, od kojih sedam teško, ali se oporavljaju.

Ozlijeđeni će dobiti samo po 170 dolara odštete ili 1160 kuna, odnosno deset tisuća franaka. Teže ozlijeđenima su sve troškove liječenja pokrile kamerunske vlasti, a i svi budući troškovi liječenja svih 47 ozlijeđenih bit će besplatni.

Predsjednik Afričke nogometne konfederacije Patrice Motsepe još nije otkrio što je pokazala istraga zašto je ulaz bio zatvoren, iako ga zna!

- Tragedija se dogodila na mjestu gdje je ulaz na stadion trebao biti otvoren. Teško mi je i dalje razumjeti zašto je bio zatvoren i ne želim vam reći zašto mi je rečeno da su ga zaključali – kazao je Motsepe.

Očito će se repovi ove tragedije još dugo vući kada cijela istina izađe na vidjelo. Unatoč tome što se dogodila tragedija, na Olembe stadionu nije se od planiranih susreta odigralo samo četvrtfinale, dok su kasnije tu odigrani polufinale i finale turnira.

Samo dan ranije još jedna tragedija dogodila se u Yaoundeu. Tog 23. siječnja u dva sata ujutro izbio je požar u jednom noćnom klubu glavnog grada Kameruna. Izazvali su ga vatrometi korišteni u glavnom dijelu noćnog kluba, a zbog kojih se zapalio strop. Nakon što se požar proširio zahvatio je i plinske boce u kuhinji i dogodile su se dvije eksplozije. Čak 16 osoba je poginulo, a osam je ozlijeđeno.

Ljudski život vrijedi samo oko 17 tisuća dolara ili u hrvatskoj valuti 116 tisuća kuna. Barem se tako da zaključiti prema kompenzacijama koje će dobiti obitelji navijača koji su poginuli 24. siječnja ispred Olembe stadiona u Yaoundeu uoči ogleda Afričkog kupa nacija između domaćina Kameruna i Komora. Naime obitelji poginulih dobit će po deset milijuna Centralnoafričkih franaka (valuta u šest država Centralne Afrike), odnosno oko 17 tisuća američkih dolara ili 116 tisuća kuna, iz ukupnog fonda za kompenzacije koji iznosi 84,7 milijuna spomenutih franaka, odnosno 143 tisuće dolara ili 975 tisuća kuna. Tako je još prošlog tjedna objavio predsjednik Kameruna Paul Biya.

Sin jednog od osam navijača poginulih je u pogledu toga poslao jasnu javnu poruku.

- Tih deset milijuna franaka (17 tisuća dolara, nap.a.) kompenzacije neće nikada zamijeniti mog oca! - rekao je za BBC Sport Africa sin jedne od žrtava koji je želio ostati anoniman. No, ipak je istaknuo kako je bolje dobiti išta nego ništa, kao i da još njegova obitelj nije uzela novac jer je njegov otac tek pokopan proteklog vikenda.

- Ne očekujemo više novca jer novac neće vratiti to naše dijete. Još smo u šoku zbog gubitka našeg nećaka – rekao je BBC-u i drugi, također neimenovani izvor.

U sjeni stradanja ljudi u ratom pogođenoj Ukrajini, pala je u drugi plan drama koja se u siječnju dogodila u Kamerunu, kada je osam navijača stradalo ispred Olembe stadiona u gužvi i stampedu uslijed loše organizacije uoči susreta Afričkog kupa nacija. Preveliki broj navijača našao se pred uskim ulazom na južni dio stadiona. Kako je jedno vrijeme ulaz na stadion bio zatvoren nastao je veliki čep. Mnoštvo navijača bilo je nestrpljivo pred ulazom. Kada je konačno otvoren mnogi su poželjeli što prije ući. Pritom su u toj ogromnoj masi ljudi navijači gurani uz ograde, a najnesretniji su se spotaknuli ili su gurnuti i pali su na tlo pa su bili pregaženi od strane mase. U cijelom tom kaosu policija nije na vrijeme uredovala. Među osam poginulih bilo je i dvoje djece od osam i 14 godina. Još 47 navijača je bilo ozlijeđeno, od kojih sedam teško, ali se oporavljaju.

Ozlijeđeni će dobiti samo po 170 dolara odštete ili 1160 kuna, odnosno deset tisuća franaka. Teže ozlijeđenima su sve troškove liječenja pokrile kamerunske vlasti, a i svi budući troškovi liječenja svih 47 ozlijeđenih bit će besplatni.

Predsjednik Afričke nogometne konfederacije Patrice Motsepe još nije otkrio što je pokazala istraga zašto je ulaz bio zatvoren, iako ga zna!

- Tragedija se dogodila na mjestu gdje je ulaz na stadion trebao biti otvoren. Teško mi je i dalje razumjeti zašto je bio zatvoren i ne želim vam reći zašto mi je rečeno da su ga zaključali – kazao je Motsepe.

Očito će se repovi ove tragedije još dugo vući kada cijela istina izađe na vidjelo. Unatoč tome što se dogodila tragedija, na Olembe stadionu nije se od planiranih susreta odigralo samo četvrtfinale, dok su kasnije tu odigrani polufinale i finale turnira.

Samo dan ranije još jedna tragedija dogodila se u Yaoundeu. Tog 23. siječnja u dva sata ujutro izbio je požar u jednom noćnom klubu glavnog grada Kameruna. Izazvali su ga vatrometi korišteni u glavnom dijelu noćnog kluba, a zbog kojih se zapalio strop. Nakon što se požar proširio zahvatio je i plinske boce u kuhinji i dogodile su se dvije eksplozije. Čak 16 osoba je poginulo, a osam je ozlijeđeno.

Ljudski život vrijedi samo oko 17 tisuća dolara ili u hrvatskoj valuti 116 tisuća kuna. Barem se tako da zaključiti prema kompenzacijama koje će dobiti obitelji navijača koji su poginuli 24. siječnja ispred Olembe stadiona u Yaoundeu uoči ogleda Afričkog kupa nacija između domaćina Kameruna i Komora. Naime obitelji poginulih dobit će po deset milijuna Centralnoafričkih franaka (valuta u šest država Centralne Afrike), odnosno oko 17 tisuća američkih dolara ili 116 tisuća kuna, iz ukupnog fonda za kompenzacije koji iznosi 84,7 milijuna spomenutih franaka, odnosno 143 tisuće dolara ili 975 tisuća kuna. Tako je još prošlog tjedna objavio predsjednik Kameruna Paul Biya.

Sin jednog od osam navijača poginulih je u pogledu toga poslao jasnu javnu poruku.
