Svakog siječnja ista priča. Igrači i treneri upozoravaju, žale se, a rukometni čelnici, oni koji o svemu odlučuju, ne slušaju. Baš ih briga. Iz godine u godinu glavni protagonisti, oni dolje na terenu, upozoravaju da je raspored pretrpan i da jednostavno nije humano da igraju toliko natjecanja i utakmica. Što s reprezentacijom, što s klubovima. I ništa se ne mijenja. Sve ostaje isto.

Pa će se tako na aktualnom Europskom prvenstvu dogoditi sljedeće. Krenimo od Španjolaca koji su najgore prošli od polufinalista. Oni su prvi krug igrali u Trondheimu, drugi u Beču, a onda su se pridružili Hrvatskoj, Norveškoj i Sloveniji na završnici u Stockholmu. Posljedica je to dislociranosti natjecanja koje je prvi put održano u čak tri zemlje domaćina. Za usporedbu, Hrvatska je prva dva kruga provela u Austriji (Graz, Beč), Slovenija u Švedskoj (Göteborg, Malmö), a Norveška kao jedan od domaćina u Trondheimu i Malmöu. Najbolji je raspored imala Danska koja je prvi krug igrala u Malmöu, koji je mostom spojen s Kopenhagenom, a igrala bi i drugi da nije ispala. Uvjeti, dakle, nisu isti svima.

Nadalje, nakon prvog kruga sve su reprezentacije imale dva dana odmora, no između drugog kruga i polufinala dobile su samo jedan! I morale su ga provesti na putu do Stockholma. Norveška i Slovenija iz Malmöa, nekih sat vremena letom, a Hrvatska i Španjolska iz Beča, duplo duže. Nigdje logike. Turnir ulazi u završnicu i igračima je nužan adekvatan odmor pred one utakmice u kojima se izravno odlučuje o medalji, kad su umor i stres na vrhuncu. 

A ono najgore tek bi se moglo dogoditi. Ako Norveška i Slovenija izgube današnja polufinala, već sutra će međusobno igrati za treće mjesto, a to bi jednima i drugima bila, pazite sad - četvrta utakmica u pet dana (!) - budući da su u utorak i srijedu morali odraditi posljednja dva kola skupine drugog kruga. Ne bi ni Hrvatskoj i Španjolskoj bilo ništa lakše da izgube. Oni bi onda sutra igrali četvrti dvoboj u šest dana.

A ovo je tek početak godine u kojoj najbolji svjetski rukometaši praktički neće imati odmor. U travnju neke od njih čekaju kvalifikacijski turniri za Olimpijske igre u Tokiju, zatim u srpnju i kolovozu sam olimpijski turnir, a onda u siječnju sljedeće godine Svjetsko prvenstvo u Egiptu. I dodajte tome klupska natjecanja. Tko preživi, pričat će.

Svakog siječnja ista priča. Igrači i treneri upozoravaju, žale se, a rukometni čelnici, oni koji o svemu odlučuju, ne slušaju. Baš ih briga. Iz godine u godinu glavni protagonisti, oni dolje na terenu, upozoravaju da je raspored pretrpan i da jednostavno nije humano da igraju toliko natjecanja i utakmica. Što s reprezentacijom, što s klubovima. I ništa se ne mijenja. Sve ostaje isto.

Pa će se tako na aktualnom Europskom prvenstvu dogoditi sljedeće. Krenimo od Španjolaca koji su najgore prošli od polufinalista. Oni su prvi krug igrali u Trondheimu, drugi u Beču, a onda su se pridružili Hrvatskoj, Norveškoj i Sloveniji na završnici u Stockholmu. Posljedica je to dislociranosti natjecanja koje je prvi put održano u čak tri zemlje domaćina. Za usporedbu, Hrvatska je prva dva kruga provela u Austriji (Graz, Beč), Slovenija u Švedskoj (Göteborg, Malmö), a Norveška kao jedan od domaćina u Trondheimu i Malmöu. Najbolji je raspored imala Danska koja je prvi krug igrala u Malmöu, koji je mostom spojen s Kopenhagenom, a igrala bi i drugi da nije ispala. Uvjeti, dakle, nisu isti svima.

Nadalje, nakon prvog kruga sve su reprezentacije imale dva dana odmora, no između drugog kruga i polufinala dobile su samo jedan! I morale su ga provesti na putu do Stockholma. Norveška i Slovenija iz Malmöa, nekih sat vremena letom, a Hrvatska i Španjolska iz Beča, duplo duže. Nigdje logike. Turnir ulazi u završnicu i igračima je nužan adekvatan odmor pred one utakmice u kojima se izravno odlučuje o medalji, kad su umor i stres na vrhuncu. 

A ono najgore tek bi se moglo dogoditi. Ako Norveška i Slovenija izgube današnja polufinala, već sutra će međusobno igrati za treće mjesto, a to bi jednima i drugima bila, pazite sad - četvrta utakmica u pet dana (!) - budući da su u utorak i srijedu morali odraditi posljednja dva kola skupine drugog kruga. Ne bi ni Hrvatskoj i Španjolskoj bilo ništa lakše da izgube. Oni bi onda sutra igrali četvrti dvoboj u šest dana.

A ovo je tek početak godine u kojoj najbolji svjetski rukometaši praktički neće imati odmor. U travnju neke od njih čekaju kvalifikacijski turniri za Olimpijske igre u Tokiju, zatim u srpnju i kolovozu sam olimpijski turnir, a onda u siječnju sljedeće godine Svjetsko prvenstvo u Egiptu. I dodajte tome klupska natjecanja. Tko preživi, pričat će.

Iz godine u godinu glavni protagonisti, oni dolje na terenu, upozoravaju da je raspored pretrpan i da jednostavno nije humano da igraju toliko natjecanja i utakmica. Što s reprezentacijom, što s klubovima. I ništa se ne mijenja. Sve ostaje isto.

Pa će se tako na aktualnom Europskom prvenstvu dogoditi sljedeće. Krenimo od Španjolaca koji su najgore prošli od polufinalista. Oni su prvi krug igrali u Trondheimu, drugi u Beču, a onda su se pridružili Hrvatskoj, Norveškoj i Sloveniji na završnici u Stockholmu. Posljedica je to dislociranosti natjecanja koje je prvi put održano u čak tri zemlje domaćina. Za usporedbu, Hrvatska je prva dva kruga...
