Muška kontracepcijska pilula koja ne djeluje hormonski sve je izglednija, piše  znanstveni časopis Nature navodeći kako su znanstvenici pronašli stanični put ili prekidač, koji sprječava plivanje spermatozoida.

Pokazala su to ispitivanja na miševima, a namjeravaju ih provesti i na zečevima, potom i na ljudima. Plan im je stvoriti kontracepcijsku tabletu koju bi muškarci mogli popiti sat vremena prije seksa.

Laka uporaba

Za razliku od ženskih anti-bebi pilula, muške ne djeluju na hormone. Znanstvenici kažu kako je upravo to jedna od prednosti novog pristupa - neće se snižavati nivo testosterona, pa neće biti ni posljedica. U ranim istraživanjima na miševima, koje je financirao američki Nacionalni institut za zdravlje, utvrđeno je da se uzima jedna doza lijeka, poznata kao TDI-11861, prije, tijekom i poslije odnosa, a da tableta djeluje oko tri sata. Nakon 24 sata njezino djelovanje u potpunosti prestaje što se vidi u novoj seriji spermatozoida koji normalno plivaju.

Jedna od znanstvenica, dr. Melanie Balbach s medicinskog koledža “Weill Cornell” u New Yorku izjavila je kako muška anti-bebi pilula obećava i da bi trebala biti laka za upotrebu. Ukoliko se pokaže djelotvornom i kod ljudi, muškarci bi je mogli uzimati onoliko često koliko je potrebno, te bi na taj način mogli svakodnevno donositi odluke o vlastitoj plodnosti.

"U pitanju je odlično sredstvo, jer veliki broj muškaraca još ne želi djecu. Iako nisu trudni, snose određene posljedice", kaže dr. Balbach.

Sreća za oba partnera

Stručnjaci upozoravaju da novo kontracepcijsko sredstvo ipak neće štititi od spolno prenosivih bolesti. Za tu ulogu bi i dalje bili zaduženi prezervativi.

"Očigledno je da će postojati problemi s povjerenjem, ali i problemi oko širenja spolno prenosivih bolesti", smatra dr. Balbach i dodaje kako, govoreći o svrsi novih pilula, prije svega misli na veze "u kojima oba partnera podjednako ulažu napore da se ne dogodi trudnoća".

Znanstvenici, u svakom slučaju, drže kako postoji hitna potreba za efikasnom, reverzibilnom, oralnom kontracepcijom za muškarce. No, iako su mnogi različiti pristupi testirani tijekom godina, još nijedna tableta tog tipa nije stigla na tržište.

Muška kontracepcijska pilula koja ne djeluje hormonski sve je izglednija, piše  znanstveni časopis Nature navodeći kako su znanstvenici pronašli stanični put ili prekidač, koji sprječava plivanje spermatozoida.

Pokazala su to ispitivanja na miševima, a namjeravaju ih provesti i na zečevima, potom i na ljudima. Plan im je stvoriti kontracepcijsku tabletu koju bi muškarci mogli popiti sat vremena prije seksa.

Laka uporaba

Za razliku od ženskih anti-bebi pilula, muške ne djeluju na hormone. Znanstvenici kažu kako je upravo to jedna od prednosti novog pristupa - neće se snižavati nivo testosterona, pa neće biti ni posljedica. U ranim istraživanjima na miševima, koje je financirao američki Nacionalni institut za zdravlje, utvrđeno je da se uzima jedna doza lijeka, poznata kao TDI-11861, prije, tijekom i poslije odnosa, a da tableta djeluje oko tri sata. Nakon 24 sata njezino djelovanje u potpunosti prestaje što se vidi u novoj seriji spermatozoida koji normalno plivaju.

Jedna od znanstvenica, dr. Melanie Balbach s medicinskog koledža “Weill Cornell” u New Yorku izjavila je kako muška anti-bebi pilula obećava i da bi trebala biti laka za upotrebu. Ukoliko se pokaže djelotvornom i kod ljudi, muškarci bi je mogli uzimati onoliko često koliko je potrebno, te bi na taj način mogli svakodnevno donositi odluke o vlastitoj plodnosti.

"U pitanju je odlično sredstvo, jer veliki broj muškaraca još ne želi djecu. Iako nisu trudni, snose određene posljedice", kaže dr. Balbach.

Sreća za oba partnera

Stručnjaci upozoravaju da novo kontracepcijsko sredstvo ipak neće štititi od spolno prenosivih bolesti. Za tu ulogu bi i dalje bili zaduženi prezervativi.

"Očigledno je da će postojati problemi s povjerenjem, ali i problemi oko širenja spolno prenosivih bolesti", smatra dr. Balbach i dodaje kako, govoreći o svrsi novih pilula, prije svega misli na veze "u kojima oba partnera podjednako ulažu napore da se ne dogodi trudnoća".

Znanstvenici, u svakom slučaju, drže kako postoji hitna potreba za efikasnom, reverzibilnom, oralnom kontracepcijom za muškarce. No, iako su mnogi različiti pristupi testirani tijekom godina, još nijedna tableta tog tipa nije stigla na tržište.

Na pomolu muška anti-baby pilula?! Znanstvenici su optimistični, ali i ukazuju na dva moguća problema

Muška kontracepcijska pilula koja ne djeluje hormonski sve je izglednija, piše  znanstveni časopis Nature navodeći kako su znanstvenici pronašli stanični put ili prekidač, koji sprječava plivanje spermatozoida.

Pokazala su to ispitivanja na miševima, a namjeravaju ih provesti i na zečevima, potom i na ljudima. Plan im je stvoriti kontracepcijsku tabletu koju bi muškarci mogli popiti sat vremena prije seksa.

Laka uporaba

Za razliku od ženskih anti-bebi pilula, muške ne djeluju na hormone. Znanstvenici kažu kako je upravo to jedna od prednosti novog pristupa - neće se snižavati nivo testosterona, pa neće biti ni posljedica.
