Rezultati nove američke studije tvrde da konzumiranje umjetnih zaslađivača potječe tjeskobu, piše Dnevnik.hr.
Aspartam je od 1981. odobren od američke Uprave za hranu i lijekove, a od tada se koristi u niskokaloričnoj hrani i pićima. Danas je prisutan u gotovo 5000 različitih prehrambenih proizvoda.
Spomenuta studija objavljena je u znanstvenom časopisu PNAS, a ona spominje da su miševi koji su pili vodu zaslađenu s većom dozom aspartama od preporučene, pokazivali ponašanje koje podsjeća na tjeskobu.
Učinci su bili vidljivi i na potomke tih miševa - i to do dvije naredne generacije. Time je zaključeno da konzumacijom umjetnog zaslađivača, osim što ugrožavamo sebe, ugrožavamo i svoje potomke.
- Ovo istraživanje pokazuje da se moramo osvrnuti na čimbenike okoliša jer ono što vidimo sada nije samo ono što se događa danas već i ono što se dogodilo prije dvije generacije, a možda i prije toga, tvrdi neuroznanstvenik Pradeep Bhide sa Sveučilišta Florida State u SAD-u.
Pri testiranju miševa, uočene su značajne promjene u amigdali, dijelu mozga povezanim s regulacijom tjeskobe.
Što se tiče samog aspartama, on se pri unosu u organizam razgrađuje na asparaginsku kiselinu, fenilalanin i metanol, a svi ti spojevi mogu utjecati na središnji živčani sustav čovjeka.
- Bila je to tako jaka osobina slična tjeskobi, da mislim da nitko od nas nije očekivao da ćemo je vidjeti. Bilo je potpuno neočekivano. Obično vidite suptilne promjene, rekla je Sara Jones, diplomirana asistentica na Sveučilištu Florida State, piše Dnevnik.hr.
Miševi su se od tjeskobe oporavili nakon doze diazepama (nekadašnjeg Valiuma), jer taj lijek regulira isti dio mozga na koji je prethodno utjecaj imao aspartam.
Ovo nije prvi put da se razmatra veza između aspartama i tjeskobe, ali druga istraživanja nisu uočila tjeskobu u štakora nakon konzumiranja umjetnih zaslađivača. Unatoč tome, potrebno je zadržati dozu opreza. Znanstvenici su do sada umjetna sladila povezivala s rakom i promjenama u crijevnim bakterijama. Zbog toga je potrebno još istraživanja u ovome smjeru.

Rezultati nove američke studije tvrde da konzumiranje umjetnih zaslađivača potječe tjeskobu, piše Dnevnik.hr.
Aspartam je od 1981. odobren od američke Uprave za hranu i lijekove, a od tada se koristi u niskokaloričnoj hrani i pićima. Danas je prisutan u gotovo 5000 različitih prehrambenih proizvoda.
Spomenuta studija objavljena je u znanstvenom časopisu PNAS, a ona spominje da su miševi koji su pili vodu zaslađenu s većom dozom aspartama od preporučene, pokazivali ponašanje koje podsjeća na tjeskobu.
Učinci su bili vidljivi i na potomke tih miševa - i to do dvije naredne generacije. Time je zaključeno da konzumacijom umjetnog zaslađivača, osim što ugrožavamo sebe, ugrožavamo i svoje potomke.
- Ovo istraživanje pokazuje da se moramo osvrnuti na čimbenike okoliša jer ono što vidimo sada nije samo ono što se događa danas već i ono što se dogodilo prije dvije generacije, a možda i prije toga, tvrdi neuroznanstvenik Pradeep Bhide sa Sveučilišta Florida State u SAD-u.
Pri testiranju miševa, uočene su značajne promjene u amigdali, dijelu mozga povezanim s regulacijom tjeskobe.
Što se tiče samog aspartama, on se pri unosu u organizam razgrađuje na asparaginsku kiselinu, fenilalanin i metanol, a svi ti spojevi mogu utjecati na središnji živčani sustav čovjeka.
- Bila je to tako jaka osobina slična tjeskobi, da mislim da nitko od nas nije očekivao da ćemo je vidjeti. Bilo je potpuno neočekivano. Obično vidite suptilne promjene, rekla je Sara Jones, diplomirana asistentica na Sveučilištu Florida State, piše Dnevnik.hr.
Miševi su se od tjeskobe oporavili nakon doze diazepama (nekadašnjeg Valiuma), jer taj lijek regulira isti dio mozga na koji je prethodno utjecaj imao aspartam.
Ovo nije prvi put da se razmatra veza između aspartama i tjeskobe, ali druga istraživanja nisu uočila tjeskobu u štakora nakon konzumiranja umjetnih zaslađivača. Unatoč tome, potrebno je zadržati dozu opreza. Znanstvenici su do sada umjetna sladila povezivala s rakom i promjenama u crijevnim bakterijama. Zbog toga je potrebno još istraživanja u ovome smjeru.
