Korijen đumbira jedan je od najpopularnijih sastojaka za pripremu čajeva.

Naravno, đumbir je također vrlo popularan začin koji se koristi u raznim jelima, poput blago ljutog curryja. Popularnost đumbira povezana je s njegovim okusom i pozitivnim učincima na zdravlje. Kao što je poznato, riječ je o sastojku koji može biti od velike pomoći u prirodnom ublažavanju mnogih zdravstvenih problema.

Zbog svojeg protuupalnog i antispazmodičkog djelovanja, đumbir može biti vrlo vrijedan saveznik u ublažavanju menstrualnih grčeva.

Grčevi se mogu pojaviti prije menstruacije, ali postaju posebno intenzivni u prvim danima menstruacije. Ponekad je bol uzrokovana tim grčevima toliko jaka da ozbiljno ometa čak i osnovne dnevne aktivnosti.

Ako su bolovi povezani s menstruacijom vrlo intenzivni i uznemirujući, govorimo o dismenoreji, koja je usko isprepletena s hormonskim promjenama u tijelu tijekom menstrualnog ciklusa. Primarni simptom dismenoreje je bol, ali često su s tim povezani i drugi problemi.

Dakle, dismenoreju često prate simptomi kao što su mučnina, promjene raspoloženja, jak umor i povišena temperatura. Razlikujemo dva osnovna oblika dismenoreje, tzv. primarnu i sekundarnu. U primarnoj, koja je mnogo češća, nema jasnog organskog uzroka. S druge strane, sekundarna dismenoreja povezana je s raznim ginekološkim bolestima. Đumbir, naravno, dolazi u obzir posebno kod primarne dismenoreje. Ako je bol tijekom menstruacije vrlo jaka, prvo treba isključiti bilo kakve ozbiljne uzroke.

U tradicionalnoj medicini đumbir, koji pripada istoj porodici kao i kurkuma, obično se koristio za ublažavanje bolova, što je povezano s već spomenutim protuupalnim djelovanjem. Osim toga, đumbir je vrlo cijenjen kao prirodna pomoć kod probavnih problema i mučnine.

Pridodamo li tome i antispazmodičko djelovanje (prevencija grčeva), ne čudi osobito da pripravci od đumbira mogu biti vrlo korisni i kod bolova i drugih tipičnih tegoba koje se javljaju tijekom menstruacije.

Pozitivni učinci uglavnom se odnose na gingerol – najvažniji sastojak đumbira. Postoje i studije koje potvrđuju korisnost đumbira u liječenju primarne dismenoreje; učinci konzumacije jednoga grama đumbira u prahu dnevno mogu se čak usporediti s učincima korištenja lijekova protiv bolova kao što je ibuprofen. Najjednostavniji način korištenja đumbira za ublažavanje menstrualnih grčeva ili bolova i drugih neugodnih simptoma je, naravno, kuhanje čaja od đumbira. Je li đumbir pogodan za sve?

Đumbir za većinu ljudi ne predstavlja veliki rizik, ali ako uzimate lijekove koje vam je propisao liječnik, svakako je pametno provjeriti smijete li istodobno uzimati i pripravke od đumbira. Kombinacija određenih lijekova i đumbira može dovesti do neželjenih nuspojava.
No, konzultacija s liječnikom prije mogućeg početka redovite upotrebe đumbira svakako je nužna za osobe s kardiovaskularnim bolestima i za one koji imaju problema sa žučnim kamencima. Čak i ako niste od onih kojima bi se savjetovalo da ne koriste đumbir, pazite da ne pretjerate.
Naime, konzumacija prevelikih količina pripravaka od đumbira može dovesti do žgaravice ili vraćanja želučane kiseline u jednjak, te do nadutosti ili čestih vjetrova.

Korijen đumbira jedan je od najpopularnijih sastojaka za pripremu čajeva.

Naravno, đumbir je također vrlo popularan začin koji se koristi u raznim jelima, poput blago ljutog curryja. Popularnost đumbira povezana je s njegovim okusom i pozitivnim učincima na zdravlje. Đumbir, naravno, dolazi u obzir posebno kod primarne dismenoreje. Ako je bol tijekom menstruacije vrlo jaka, prvo treba isključiti bilo kakve ozbiljne uzroke.

U tradicionalnoj medicini đumbir, koji pripada istoj porodici kao i kurkuma, obično se koristio za ublažavanje bolova, što je povezano s već spomenutim protuupalnim djelovanjem. Osim toga, đumbir je vrlo cijenjen kao prirodna pomoć kod probavnih problema i mučnine.

Pridodamo li tome i antispazmodičko djelovanje (prevencija grčeva), ne čudi osobito da pripravci od đumbira mogu biti vrlo korisni i kod bolova i drugih tipičnih tegoba koje se javljaju tijekom menstruacije.

Pozitivni učinci uglavnom se odnose na gingerol – najvažniji sastojak đumbira. Postoje i studije koje potvrđuju korisnost đumbira u liječenju primarne dismenoreje; učinci konzumacije jednoga grama đumbira u prahu dnevno mogu se čak usporediti s učincima korištenja lijekova protiv bolova kao što je ibuprofen. Najjednostavniji način korištenja đumbira za ublažavanje menstrualnih grčeva ili bolova i drugih neugodnih simptoma je, naravno, kuhanje čaja od đumbira. Je li đumbir pogodan za sve?

Đumbir za većinu ljudi ne predstavlja veliki rizik, ali ako uzimate lijekove koje vam je propisao liječnik, svakako je pametno provjeriti smijete li istodobno uzimati i pripravke od đumbira. Kombinacija određenih lijekova i đumbira može dovesti do neželjenih nuspojava.
No, konzultacija s liječnikom prije mogućeg početka redovite upotrebe đumbira svakako je nužna za osobe s kardiovaskularnim bolestima i za one koji imaju problema sa žučnim kamencima. Čak i ako niste od onih kojima bi se savjetovalo da ne koriste đumbir, pazite da ne pretjerate.
Naime, konzumacija prevelikih količina pripravaka od đumbira može dovesti do žgaravice ili vraćanja želučane kiseline u jednjak, te do nadutosti ili čestih vjetrova.
