Vozače treba poticati da prestanu bacati voćne otpatke poput kora i koštica po cestama jer tisuće životinja, privučenih ostacima hrane, zbog toga gube glavu pod kotačima, objavila je britanska uprava za autoceste. 
"Bacanje otpadaka je grozan socijalan problem. Ne samo da je to ružno, nego može imati smrtonosne posljedice na divlje životinje, pretvarajući rub ceste u smrtonosne restorane", rekao je Nick Harris, izvršni direktor Nacionalnih autocesta.
"Naporno radimo kako bi umanjili taj problem, naši radnici svakodnevno skupljaju otpatke. A kako bi bili sigurni, moramo zatvarati trake na autocestama, što usporava vozače i košta milijune funti", dodao je Harris.

Britanska organizacija za zaštitu životinja RSPCA primila u protekle tri godine više od 10.000 prijava o životinjama koje su ozlijeđene, zarobljene ili mrtve zbog smeća u Engleskoj i Walesu. To je u prosjeku gotovo 10 prijava svaki dan.
Anketa provedena među 2.000 odraslih osoba u Velikoj Britaniji pokazuje da 45% ljudi ne smatra biološki razgradivu hranu smećem. Troje od deset (31%) ispitanika vjeruje da je organski otpad koristan za divlji svijet.

Ali nije u pitanju samo biorzgradivi otpad. Geoff Edmond, glavni službenik RSPCA za divlje životinje, rekao je: "Stare limenke i boce, plastični predmeti pa čak i jednokratne elektroničke cigarete samo su neki od predmeta koji predstavljaju opasnost za naš divlji svijet, uključujući ježeve, vjeverice, jelene i lisice". 
"Životinje mogu progutati smeće, zapeti u njemu ili biti privučene starom hranom na cesti, što ih dovodi u opasnost da ih udare jureća vozila", kazao je.

Vozače treba poticati da prestanu bacati voćne otpatke poput kora i koštica po cestama jer tisuće životinja, privučenih ostacima hrane, zbog toga gube glavu pod kotačima, objavila je britanska uprava za autoceste. 
"Bacanje otpadaka je grozan socijalan problem. Ne samo da je to ružno, nego može imati smrtonosne posljedice na divlje životinje, pretvarajući rub ceste u smrtonosne restorane", rekao je Nick Harris, izvršni direktor Nacionalnih autocesta.
"Naporno radimo kako bi umanjili taj problem, naši radnici svakodnevno skupljaju otpatke. A kako bi bili sigurni, moramo zatvarati trake na autocestama, što usporava vozače i košta milijune funti", dodao je Harris.

Britanska organizacija za zaštitu životinja RSPCA primila u protekle tri godine više od 10.000 prijava o životinjama koje su ozlijeđene, zarobljene ili mrtve zbog smeća u Engleskoj i Walesu. To je u prosjeku gotovo 10 prijava svaki dan.
Anketa provedena među 2.000 odraslih osoba u Velikoj Britaniji pokazuje da 45% ljudi ne smatra biološki razgradivu hranu smećem. Troje od deset (31%) ispitanika vjeruje da je organski otpad koristan za divlji svijet.

Ali nije u pitanju samo biorzgradivi otpad. Geoff Edmond, glavni službenik RSPCA za divlje životinje, rekao je: "Stare limenke i boce, plastični predmeti pa čak i jednokratne elektroničke cigarete samo su neki od predmeta koji predstavljaju opasnost za naš divlji svijet, uključujući ježeve, vjeverice, jelene i lisice".

Prestanite bacati hranu iz auta! Zbog otpadaka hrane ceste su postale groblje za životinje

Vozače treba poticati da prestanu bacati voćne otpatke poput kora i koštica po cestama jer tisuće životinja, privučenih ostacima hrane, zbog toga gube glavu pod kotačima, objavila je britanska uprava za autoceste. 
"Bacanje otpadaka je grozan socijalan problem. Ne samo da je to ružno, nego može imati smrtonosne posljedice na divlje životinje, pretvarajući rub ceste u smrtonosne restorane", rekao je Nick Harris, izvršni direktor Nacionalnih autocesta.
"Naporno radimo kako bi umanjili taj problem, naši radnici svakodnevno skupljaju otpatke. A kako bi bili sigurni, moramo zatvarati trake na autocestama, što usporava vozače i košta milijune funti", dodao je Harris.

Britanska organizacija za zaštitu životinja RSPCA primila u protekle tri godine više od 10.000 prijava o životinjama koje su ozlijeđene, zarobljene ili mrtve zbog smeća u Engleskoj i Walesu. To je u prosjeku gotovo 10 prijava svaki dan.
Anketa provedena među 2.000 odraslih osoba u Velikoj Britaniji pokazuje da 45% ljudi ne smatra biološki razgradivu hranu smećem. Troje od deset (31%) ispitanika vjeruje da je organski otpad koristan za divlji svijet.

Ali nije u pitanju samo biorzgradivi otpad. Geoff Edmond, glavni službenik RSPCA za divlje životinje, rekao je: "Stare limenke i boce, plastični predmeti pa čak i jednokratne elektroničke cigarete samo su neki od predmeta koji predstavljaju opasnost za naš divlji svijet, uključujući ježeve, vjeverice, jelene i lisice".
