Aukcijska kuća Sotheby prodaje jedan od posljednjih autoportreta umjetnice Fride Kahlo. Kako njenim radovima kontinuirano raste cijena očekuje se da bi ovoga puta mogla postići rekord. 

Njena djela prepoznatljiva su upravo zahvaljujući njenom liku. Kahlo je gotovo bez iznimke crtala autoportrete na kojima je odjevena u meksičku narodnu nošnju, gusta crna kosa joj je uređena kontrastnim šarenim cvijećem, a duboke oči istaknute spojenim tamnim obrvama. Njena nekonvencionalna ljepota naglašena je osebujnim slikarskim stilom.

Autoportret koji se sada našao na aukciji nosi naziv 'Diego y yo' (Diego i ja), a na njemu je prikazana Frida i njezin suprug i fatalna ljubav Diego Rivera kao treće oko. Rad govori puno o muškarcu koji joj je uzrokovao veliku patnju usprkos tome ili baš zato što ga je beskrajno voljela. "Imala sam dvije teške nesreće u životu“, običavala je govoriti Frida. „Prva je bila kada me je pregazio tramvaj, druga je bio Diego," prenosi njene bolne riječi DW.

Slika će se na prodaji naći u New Yorku 16. studenoga, a očekuje se da će postići između 30 i 50 milijuna dolara. Ulje na platnu malih je dimenzija - 29,8 x 22,4 centimetra, a ista aukcijska kuća prodala ga je prije više od 30 godina. Tada ga je kupila njujorška kolekcionarka i trgovkinja umjetninama Mary-Anne Martin za skromnih 1,4 milijuna dolara. Bio je to potez koji se pokazao kao pametna investicija.

Tada je to bilo prvo djelo jednog latinoameričkog umjetnika koje je postiglo više od milijun dolara. U međuvremenu je njenim radovima skočila cijena. Rano djelo "El tiempo vuela" (Vrijeme leti) iz 1929. dostiglo je cijenu od 4,6 milijuna dolara 2000. godine. Slika "Dos desnudos en el bosque" (Dva akta u šumi) prodana je za osam milijuna dolara 2016. godine, a interes za Fridin rad i dalje raste. Ovo će definitivno biti prekretnica kada je po srijedi njena vrijednost, ali značajan trenutak za sve umjetnike iz Južne Amerike.

Aukcijska kuća Sotheby prodaje jedan od posljednjih autoportreta umjetnice Fride Kahlo. Kako njenim radovima kontinuirano raste cijena očekuje se da bi ovoga puta mogla postići rekord. 

Njena djela prepoznatljiva su upravo zahvaljujući njenom liku. Kahlo je gotovo bez iznimke crtala autoportrete na kojima je odjevena u meksičku narodnu nošnju, gusta crna kosa joj je uređena kontrastnim šarenim cvijećem, a duboke oči istaknute spojenim tamnim obrvama. Njena nekonvencionalna ljepota naglašena je osebujnim slikarskim stilom.

Autoportret koji se sada našao na aukciji nosi naziv 'Diego y yo' (Diego i ja), a na njemu je prikazana Frida i njezin suprug i fatalna ljubav Diego Rivera kao treće oko. Rad govori puno o muškarcu koji joj je uzrokovao veliku patnju usprkos tome ili baš zato što ga je beskrajno voljela. "Imala sam dvije teške nesreće u životu“, običavala je govoriti Frida. „Prva je bila kada me je pregazio tramvaj, druga je bio Diego," prenosi njene bolne riječi DW.

Slika će se na prodaji naći u New Yorku 16. studenoga, a očekuje se da će postići između 30 i 50 milijuna dolara. Ulje na platnu malih je dimenzija - 29,8 x 22,4 centimetra, a ista aukcijska kuća prodala ga je prije više od 30 godina. Tada ga je kupila njujorška kolekcionarka i trgovkinja umjetninama Mary-Anne Martin za skromnih 1,4 milijuna dolara. Bio je to potez koji se pokazao kao pametna investicija.

Tada je to bilo prvo djelo jednog latinoameričkog umjetnika koje je postiglo više od milijun dolara. U međuvremenu je njenim radovima skočila cijena. Rano djelo "El tiempo vuela" (Vrijeme leti) iz 1929. dostiglo je cijenu od 4,6 milijuna dolara 2000. godine. Slika "Dos desnudos en el bosque" (Dva akta u šumi) prodana je za osam milijuna dolara 2016. godine, a interes za Fridin rad i dalje raste. Ovo će definitivno biti prekretnica kada je po srijedi njena vrijednost, ali značajan trenutak za sve umjetnike iz Južne Amerike.

Aukcijska kuća Sotheby prodaje jedan od posljednjih autoportreta umjetnice Fride Kahlo. Kako njenim radovima kontinuirano raste cijena očekuje se da bi ovoga puta mogla postići rekord. 

Njena djela prepoznatljiva su upravo zahvaljujući njenom liku. Kahlo je gotovo bez iznimke crtala autoportrete na kojima je odjevena u meksičku narodnu nošnju, gusta crna kosa joj je uređena kontrastnim šarenim cvijećem, a duboke oči istaknute spojenim tamnim obrvama. Njena nekonvencionalna ljepota naglašena je osebujnim slikarskim stilom.

Autoportret koji se sada našao na aukciji nosi naziv 'Diego y yo' (Diego i ja), a na njemu je prikazana Frida i njezin suprug i fatalna ljubav Diego Rivera kao treće oko. Rad govori puno o muškarcu koji joj je uzrokovao veliku patnju usprkos tome ili baš zat...
