Pornografski filmovi i “slasherski” horori doživjeli su kinematografski “boom” otprilike istovremeno. Bilo je to ranih sedamdesetih, kad su se u kinima pojavili “Duboko grlo” i “Teksaški masakr motornom pilom”. Nimalo čudno, jer žanrovi se isprepleću u “jin-jang” ključu ambivalentne tjelesnosti i psihoseksualnosti.

I jedni i drugi filmovi načelno su niskobudžetni, poklapaju se u obligatornoj golotinji, izazivanju praiskonskih emocija (strast, strah) i seksualiziranju ženskog tijela. Likovi u pornićima i hororima redovito stenju, vrište i dozivaju boga u različitom kontekstu (postizanje ekstaze, zazivanje spasa).

Kad u porniću nekoj zgodnoj ženskoj usred ničega crkne automobil, servisirat će je neki lokalni tip koji će se, pak, pokazati kao manijak u sličnom scenariju horora i ganjati ljepoticu po šumi s motornom pilom ili nekim falusoidnim oruđem. Pa ipak, spoj pornića i horora rijetko se snima (npr. srpski “Život i smrt porno bande”, američki “Porno”).

Dosad je najbliže tom spoju došao film “X”. Pročitajte samo osnovni zaplet. Grupa filmaša – producent Wayne (Martin Henderson), glumice Maxine (Mia Goth) i Bobby-Lynne (Brittany Snow), glumac Jackson (Scott Mescudi), mladi redatelj RJ (Owen Campbell) i njegova asistentica Lorraine (Jenna Ortega) – odlaze snimiti pornić na farmu u teksašku zabit.

Naslov pornića nije “Deep Throat”, nego “The Farmer’s Daughters”, ali Maxine može podsjetiti na Lindu Lovelace (frizura) i film je nepogrešivo produkt ludih sedamdesetih. Na koncu, radnja se odvija 1979. godine. Međutim, filmaši su odabrali krivu farmu za snimanje pornića. Nije to farma kanibalske obitelji Sawyer iz “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, ali nije ni daleko.

Vlasnik Howard (Stephen Ure) izgleda kao da bi mogao biti “djed” Sawyer i u startu ne izražava dobrodošlicu mladoj ekipi. Starac ih je dočekao s puškom u ruci, a njegova supruga Pearl (također Goth; neprepoznatljiva ispod maske) promatra mlade iz daljine s vrebačkim nakanama, izgledajući poput jezive sablasti. Snimanje pornića ne može završiti na dobro. I neće.

Nakon što Pearl vidi snimanje pornića, vireći kroz prozor staje, nešto će se u njoj prelomiti, postat će opsjednuta izgubljenom mladosti i ljubomorna na mlade žene, te poželjeti nasilu ponovno postati seksualno poželjna, tražeći od RJ-a da je uzme i uvlačeći se u krevet (k)od Maxine. Brutalnosti ne nedostaje tijekom jedne duge hororske noći, kao i atmosferičnosti i tenzičnosti (krupni kadar čavla).

Jasno je to u uvodnoj sekvenciji “X-a”. Film počinje sa završetkom, odnosno otvara se dolaskom policije na poprište masakra na farmi s prizorom krvi na trijemu i kulminacijom u riječima “Šerife, trebate ovo vidjeti”, tj. njegovim uzvikom “Moj bože” (eto onog zazivanja boga), nakon čega slijedi natpis “24 sata ranije”.

Redatelj Ti West u prvom dijelu uvoda naizgled rabi stari uski format slike (4:3), ali kad se kadar počne širiti, ispostavlja da se da je, ustvari, kamera postavljena s unutrašnje strane otvorenih vrata staje. To je jedan u nizu Westovih postmodernih režijskih igrarija prilikom iznimno uspjele rekreacije estetike sedamdesetih.

Na trenutke “X” izgleda kao “found footage” film iz 1979., pronađen u podrumu neke teksaške farme. West se ponaša kao RJ koji želi snimiti nešto netipično i “avangardno”, “kao u Francuskoj”, te dokazati da je moguće napraviti artistički dobar “dirty movie”, što “X-u” daje metafilmsku kvalitetu.

Jer, West želi dokazati i da je moguće snimiti artistički dobar horor film “grindhouse” estetike sedamdesetih, kakvu su njegovali Quentin Tarantino i Robert Rodriguez u “Otpornom na smrt” i “Planetu terora”, a dodatna “meta” zanimljivost jest da neke od likova glume ljudi sa “scary movie” iskustvom (Snow i Henderson su bili u remakeu “Maturalne večeri” i “Kruga”, Ortega u novom “Vrisku”...).

”X” je i filmofilski film o snimanju filma a la “Ed Wood”, “Majstor lošeg filma” i “Dolemite Is My Name”. Filmofilija je pogonsko gorivo “X-a” koji djeluje kao mješavina “Kralja pornića” i “Teksaškog masakra motornom pilom”. Maxine je Dirk Diggler ovog filma, ona šmrče koku i sama sebi govori “Ti si jebeni seks simbol”, gledajući se u zrcalo.

Žanrovske referencije uključuju posvetu “Noći vještica” (pjesma “Don’t Fear The Reaper” Blue Oyster Culta) i “Petku 13.” (drveni mol na jezeru), a spominje se i “Psycho”. Na Hitchcockov klasik referira se sramežljiva Lorraine kad odluči sama stati ispred kamere i snimiti pornoscenu poput Maxine i Bobby-Lynne, iznenadivši redatelja RJ-a, ujedno i njezina dečka.

RJ je odgovara od toga pod izgovorom da je već snimljena polovica filma i da se ne mogu dodavati novi likovi. “A što je s ‘Psihom’?”, pita Lorraine, podsjećajući da je Hitch napravio upravo to, ali i promijenio žanr filma negdje blizu polovice. Nešto slično radi i West.

Iako RJ govori da ne snimaju horor, već porno, “X” se iz filma o snimanju pornića pretvara u hororski “slasher”. Istovremeno, filmaši i glumci tog filma nesvjesno postaju likovi iz horora koji snima West. “Što je na njoj?”, policajac pita šerifa kad pronađu kameru pornoekipe na poprištu pokolja. “Mora da je jedan prokleto sjebani horor film”, odgovara šerif. “Smrt i život porno bande”. “Teksaški masakr porno pilom”.

Hrvatska premijera na Cinemaxu i HBO Maxu

Nakon što je "X" iz neobjašnjivih razloga preskočio hrvatska kina, festivale i videoteke, domaću premijeru će imati na Cinemaxu i to hvalevrijedno baš na petak 13., a postao je dostupan i na HBO Maxu. Prošle godine je izašao i prednastavak filma "Pearl", također u režiji Westa i s Goth u glavnoj ulozi, a u planu je i nastavak "MaXXXine".

Pornografski filmovi i “slasherski” horori doživjeli su kinematografski “boom” otprilike istovremeno. Bilo je to ranih sedamdesetih, kad su se u kinima pojavili “Duboko grlo” i “Teksaški masakr motornom pilom”. Nimalo čudno, jer žanrovi se isprepleću u “jin-jang” ključu ambivalentne tjelesnosti i psihoseksualnosti.

I jedni i drugi filmovi načelno su niskobudžetni, poklapaju se u obligatornoj golotinji, izazivanju praiskonskih emocija (strast, strah) i seksualiziranju ženskog tijela. Likovi u pornićima i hororima redovito stenju, vrište i dozivaju boga u različitom kontekstu (postizanje ekstaze, zazivanje spasa).

Kad u porniću nekoj zgodnoj ženskoj usred ničega crkne automobil, servisirat će je neki lokalni tip koji će se, pak, pokazati kao manijak u sličnom scenariju horora i ganjati ljepoticu po šumi s motornom pilom ili nekim falusoidnim oruđem. Pa ipak, spoj pornića i horora rijetko se snima (npr. srpski “Život i smrt porno bande”, američki “Porno”).

Dosad je najbliže tom spoju došao film “X”. Pročitajte samo osnovni zaplet. Grupa filmaša – producent Wayne (Martin Henderson), glumice Maxine (Mia Goth) i Bobby-Lynne (Brittany Snow), glumac Jackson (Scott Mescudi), mladi redatelj RJ (Owen Campbell) i njegova asistentica Lorraine (Jenna Ortega) – odlaze snimiti pornić na farmu u teksašku zabit.

Naslov pornića nije “Deep Throat”, nego “The Farmer’s Daughters”, ali Maxine može podsjetiti na Lindu Lovelace (frizura) i film je nepogrešivo produkt ludih sedamdesetih. Na koncu, radnja se odvija 1979. godine. Međutim, filmaši su odabrali krivu farmu za snimanje pornića. Nije to farma kanibalske obitelji Sawyer iz “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, ali nije ni daleko.

Vlasnik Howard (Stephen Ure) izgleda kao da bi mogao biti “djed” Sawyer i u startu ne izražava dobrodošlicu mladoj ekipi. Starac ih je dočekao s puškom u ruci, a njegova supruga Pearl (također Goth; neprepoznatljiva ispod maske) promatra mlade iz daljine s vrebačkim nakanama, izgledajući poput jezive sablasti. Snimanje pornića ne može završiti na dobro. I neće.

Nakon što Pearl vidi snimanje pornića, vireći kroz prozor staje, nešto će se u njoj prelomiti, postat će opsjednuta izgubljenom mladosti i ljubomorna na mlade žene, te poželjeti nasilu ponovno postati seksualno poželjna, tražeći od RJ-a da je uzme i uvlačeći se u krevet (k)od Maxine. Brutalnosti ne nedostaje tijekom jedne duge hororske noći, kao i atmosferičnosti i tenzičnosti (krupni kadar čavla).

Jasno je to u uvodnoj sekvenciji “X-a”. Film počinje sa završetkom, odnosno otvara se dolaskom policije na poprište masakra na farmi s prizorom krvi na trijemu i kulminacijom u riječima “Šerife, trebate ovo vidjeti”, tj. njegovim uzvikom “Moj bože” (eto onog zazivanja boga), nakon čega slijedi natpis “24 sata ranije”.

Redatelj Ti West u prvom dijelu uvoda naizgled rabi stari uski format slike (4:3), ali kad se kadar počne širiti, ispostavlja da se da je, ustvari, kamera postavljena s unutrašnje strane otvorenih vrata staje. To je jedan u nizu Westovih postmodernih režijskih igrarija prilikom iznimno uspjele rekreacije estetike sedamdesetih.

Na trenutke “X” izgleda kao “found footage” film iz 1979., pronađen u podrumu neke teksaške farme. West se ponaša kao RJ koji želi snimiti nešto netipično i “avangardno”, “kao u Francuskoj”, te dokazati da je moguće napraviti artistički dobar “dirty movie”, što “X-u” daje metafilmsku kvalitetu.

Jer, West želi dokazati i da je moguće snimiti artistički dobar horor film “grindhouse” estetike sedamdesetih, kakvu su njegovali Quentin Tarantino i Robert Rodriguez u “Otpornom na smrt” i “Planetu terora”, a dodatna “meta” zanimljivost jest da neke od likova glume ljudi sa “scary movie” iskustvom (Snow i Henderson su bili u remakeu “Maturalne večeri” i “Kruga”, Ortega u novom “Vrisku”...).

”X” je i filmofilski film o snimanju filma a la “Ed Wood”, “Majstor lošeg filma” i “Dolemite Is My Name”. Filmofilija je pogonsko gorivo “X-a” koji djeluje kao mješavina “Kralja pornića” i “Teksaškog masakra motornom pilom”. Maxine je Dirk Diggler ovog filma, ona šmrče koku i sama sebi govori “Ti si jebeni seks simbol”, gledajući se u zrcalo.

Žanrovske referencije uključuju posvetu “Noći vještica” (pjesma “Don’t Fear The Reaper” Blue Oyster Culta) i “Petku 13.” (drveni mol na jezeru), a spominje se i “Psycho”. Na Hitchcockov klasik referira se sramežljiva Lorraine kad odluči sama stati ispred kamere i snimiti pornoscenu poput Maxine i Bobby-Lynne, iznenadivši redatelja RJ-a, ujedno i njezina dečka.

RJ je odgovara od toga pod izgovorom da je već snimljena polovica filma i da se ne mogu dodavati novi likovi. “A što je s ‘Psihom’?”, pita Lorraine, podsjećajući da je Hitch napravio upravo to, ali i promijenio žanr filma negdje blizu polovice. Nešto slično radi i West.

Iako RJ govori da ne snimaju horor, već porno, “X” se iz filma o snimanju pornića pretvara u hororski “slasher”. Istovremeno, filmaši i glumci tog filma nesvjesno postaju likovi iz horora koji snima West. “Što je na njoj?”, policajac pita šerifa kad pronađu kameru pornoekipe na poprištu pokolja. “Mora da je jedan prokleto sjebani horor film”, odgovara šerif. “Smrt i život porno bande”. “Teksaški masakr porno pilom”.

Hrvatska premijera na Cinemaxu i HBO Maxu

Nakon što je "X" iz neobjašnjivih razloga preskočio hrvatska kina, festivale i videoteke, domaću premijeru će imati na Cinemaxu i to hvalevrijedno baš na petak 13., a postao je dostupan i na HBO Maxu. Prošle godine je izašao i prednastavak filma "Pearl", također u režiji Westa i s Goth u glavnoj ulozi, a u planu je i nastavak "MaXXXine".
