Nostradamus, pravog imena Michael de Nostredame rođen je na današnji dan davne 1503. godine, a njegova knjiga proročanstava često se lista uoči Nove godine.

Nostradamusova predviđanja objavljena 1555. godine pod nazivom 'Centuries' bila su podložna mnogim interpretacijama.

Bojeći se proglašenja vješcem nastojao je da tajne o kojima piše ostanu nepoznate i zato je pisao zagonetnim dvosmislenim stihovima koristeći francuske, talijanske, grčke i latinske riječi. Oni koji njegova pisanja čitaju između redaka kažu da je francuski prorok uspio predvidjeti mnoge ključne povijesne trenutke čovječanstva. Gledamo li samo modernu povijest, govorio je, tumače, o dolasku Hitlera na vlast u Njemačkoj, ali i napadu islamskih ekstremista na World Trade Centre u New Yorku. Tumači njegovih rečenica tvrde kako je i predvidio Francusku revoluciju 1789.

Michel de Nostredame bio je francuski liječnik, travar i astrolog židovskog podrijetla koji se rodio u St. Re'my de Provence. Živio je u doba Inkvizicije pa su njegovi roditelji zbog straha od progona prešli sa židovstva na katoličanstvo.

O Nostradamusu se zna da je bio najstarije od šestoro djece u obitelji i da ga je djed Pierre podučavao osnovama latinskog, grčkog i hebrejskog jezika kao i matematici. Uputio je on mladog Michela i u tajne ljekovitog bilja i astrologije. Kao dječak bolovao je od epilepsije i time osjetio stanje prividne smrti. Nakon djedove smrti školovao se u Avignonu gdje je silno zavolio astrologiju zbog toga što je smatrao da planeti imaju utjecaj na evoluciju bolesti. Tvrdio je još puno prije Kopernika i Galilea kako je Zemlja okrugla i vrti se oko Sunca. Završivši studij medicine u Montpelliereu 1525. godine, pomagao je oboljelima od kuge posvetivši tom humanom i časnom radu četiri godine. Tada je doktorirao. Službenoj medicini Nostradamus se suprotstavljao novim pristupom liječenja oboljelih pacijenata.

Njegovi mentori su bili rimski liječnik i filozof grčkog podrijetla, Aelie Galen, i švicarski liječnik, alkemičar i astrolog Paracelsus. Ostavio je za sobom recepte s mnogobrojnim ljekovitim pripravcima. Nostradamus je 1534. godine oženio Henriette d'Encausse s kojom je imao dvoje djece. Navodi se kako su žena i djeca umrli u jeku epidemije kuge, ali se ne može točno potvrditi uzrok smrti. Unatoč svim njegovim naporima nije ih uspio spasiti. Optužen je  za herezu pa je 1538. godine pobjegao u Lorraine, zatim Veneciju i Siciliju da bi se 1554. godine nastanio u Marseillesu, upravo u vrijeme tamošnje epidemije kuge. Opet  se vrlo požrtvovno predao pomaganju i  spašavanju oboljelih ljudi.

Po drugi put se oženio s Anne Ponsart Gemelle u mjestu Salon. S njom je imao šestoro djece. Iz tog doba datira i njegovo najpopularnije djelo „Almanachs“ ili „Prognostications Presages“ (Generalizirana proročanstva), poznato kao knjiga “Proročanstva“. Pretvorivši jednu sobu u prostoriju za proučavanje okultnih knjiga, za vidovnjačke rituale i meditacije, pisao je  predviđanja u manjim prekidima sve do svoje smrti, 2. srpnja 1566. godine. Život se za Nostradamusa promijenio onog trenutka kad je kraljica Katarina Medici čula za njega, pročitala djelo zainteresiravši se za onu katrenu gdje  Nostradamus predviđa smrt njezinog muža. Naime, Henri II. je na turniru 1559. godine bio  smrtno ranjen u viteškom dvoboju što je Nostradamus u djelu i predvidio. Kraljica ga je pozvala k sebi u Pariz da izradi horoskop za nju i njezinu djecu, dala mu  položaj kraljevskog savjetnika, a potom i dvorskog liječnika. Pariška javnost nije mu bila sklona te se on vratio u Salon gdje je, bolujući od artritisa, radio samo horoskope svojim odabranim gostima i posvetio se pisanju djela „Proročanstva“.

Nostradamus, pravog imena Michael de Nostredame rođen je na današnji dan davne 1503. godine, a njegova knjiga proročanstava često se lista uoči Nove godine.

Nostradamusova predviđanja objavljena 1555. godine pod nazivom 'Centuries' bila su podložna mnogim interpretacijama.

Bojeći se proglašenja vješcem nastojao je da tajne o kojima piše ostanu nepoznate i zato je pisao zagonetnim dvosmislenim stihovima koristeći francuske, talijanske, grčke i latinske riječi. Oni koji njegova pisanja čitaju između redaka kažu da je francuski prorok uspio predvidjeti mnoge ključne povijesne trenutke čovječanstva. Gledamo li samo modernu povijest, govorio je, tumače, o dolasku Hitlera na vlast u Njemačkoj, ali i napadu islamskih ekstremista na World Trade Centre u New Yorku. Tumači njegovih rečenica tvrde kako je i predvidio Francusku revoluciju 1789.

Michel de Nostredame bio je francuski liječnik, travar i astrolog židovskog podrijetla koji se rodio u St. Re'my de Provence. Živio je u doba Inkvizicije pa su njegovi roditelji zbog straha od progona prešli sa židovstva na katoličanstvo.

O Nostradamusu se zna da je bio najstarije od šestoro djece u obitelji i da ga je djed Pierre podučavao osnovama latinskog, grčkog i hebrejskog jezika kao i matematici. Uputio je on mladog Michela i u tajne ljekovitog bilja i astrologije. Kao dječak bolovao je od epilepsije i time osjetio stanje prividne smrti. Nakon djedove smrti školovao se u Avignonu gdje je silno zavolio astrologiju zbog toga što je smatrao da planeti imaju utjecaj na evoluciju bolesti. Tvrdio je još puno prije Kopernika i Galilea kako je Zemlja okrugla i vrti se oko Sunca. Završivši studij medicine u Montpelliereu 1525. godine, pomagao je oboljelima od kuge posvetivši tom humanom i časnom radu četiri godine. Tada je doktorirao. Službenoj medicini Nostradamus se suprotstavljao novim pristupom liječenja oboljelih pacijenata.

Njegovi mentori su bili rimski liječnik i filozof grčkog podrijetla, Aelie Galen, i švicarski liječnik, alkemičar i astrolog Paracelsus. Ostavio je za sobom recepte s mnogobrojnim ljekovitim pripravcima. Nostradamus je 1534. godine oženio Henriette d'Encausse s kojom je imao dvoje djece. Navodi se kako su žena i djeca umrli u jeku epidemije kuge, ali se ne može točno potvrditi uzrok smrti. Unatoč svim njegovim naporima nije ih uspio spasiti. Optužen je  za herezu pa je 1538. godine pobjegao u Lorraine, zatim Veneciju i Siciliju da bi se 1554. godine nastanio u Marseillesu, upravo u vrijeme tamošnje epidemije kuge. Opet  se vrlo požrtvovno predao pomaganju i  spašavanju oboljelih ljudi.

Po drugi put se oženio s Anne Ponsart Gemelle u mjestu Salon. S njom je imao šestoro djece. Iz tog doba datira i njegovo najpopularnije djelo „Almanachs“ ili „Prognostications Presages“ (Generalizirana proročanstva), poznato kao knjiga “Proročanstva“. Pretvorivši jednu sobu u prostoriju za proučavanje okultnih knjiga, za vidovnjačke rituale i meditacije, pisao je  predviđanja u manjim prekidima sve do svoje smrti, 2. srpnja 1566. godine. Život se za Nostradamusa promijenio onog trenutka kad je kraljica Katarina Medici čula za njega, pročitala djelo zainteresiravši se za onu katrenu gdje  Nostradamus predviđa smrt njezinog muža. Naime, Henri II. je na turniru 1559. godine bio  smrtno ranjen u viteškom dvoboju što je Nostradamus u djelu i predvidio. Kraljica ga je pozvala k sebi u Pariz da izradi horoskop za nju i njezinu djecu, dala mu  položaj kraljevskog savjetnika, a potom i dvorskog liječnika. Pariška javnost nije mu bila sklona te se on vratio u Salon gdje je, bolujući od artritisa, radio samo horoskope svojim odabranim gostima i posvetio se pisanju djela „Proročanstva“.

Nostradamus, pravog imena Michael de Nostredame rođen je na današnji dan davne 1503. godine, a njegova knjiga proročanstava često se lista uoči Nove godine.

Nostradamusova predviđanja objavljena 1555. godine pod nazivom 'Centuries' bila su podložna mnogim interpretacijama.

Bojeći se proglašenja vješcem nastojao je da tajne o kojima piše ostanu nepoznate i zato je pisao zagonetnim dvosmislenim stihovima koristeći francuske, talijanske, grčke i latinske riječi.
