Američki Centar za kontrolu bolesti (CDC) priopćio je da ispituje 14 novih izvješća o mogućem prijenosu virusa zika seksualnim putem.
Prema navodima CDC-a, među njima su i slučajevi u koje su uključene i trudnice, prenosi BBC.
Ovo tijelo obznanilo je najnovije informacije istodobno s objavljivanjem novih smjernica posvećenih seksualnom prijenosu virusa, koje su objavljene uz potvrdu o prvom slučaju zaraze virusom zika kod osobe u kontinentalnom dijelu SAD-a koja nije putovala u virusom zahvaćene krajeve. Slučaj je povezan sa seksualnim kontaktom s partnerom koji je zaražen virusom.
CDC je savjetovao muškarce koji putuju u područja u kojima je aktivan zika virus da upotrebljavaju kondome ili se suzdrže od seksa za vrijeme trajanja trudnoće.
Još uvijek nema dokaza da žene mogu prenijeti zika virus svojim seksualnim partnerima, no potrebno je poduzeti još istraživanja kako bi se shvatio ovaj problem, navelo je ovo tijelo.
Posljednji rezultati istraživanja koje je u Brazilu uključivalo i trudnice ojačali su teoriju da je zika virus povezan s defektom mikrocefalije kod novorođene djece i njihovim rađanjem s abnormalno malom glavom te da to može utjecati na njihov kognitivan razvoj. Istraživanje je također potvrdilo prisustvo zika virusa u plodnoj vodi dviju žena koje su imale simptome slične oboljelima od tog virusa tijekom trudnoće. Brazilski stručnjaci navode da to sugerira kako zika virus može zaraziti i fetus.
Glavni način infekcije i dalje ostaje ubod komarca i stručnjaci savjetuju da trudne žene nastoje izbjeći te insekte.
Margaret Chan, čelnica Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, rekla je u utorak u Brazilu kako se svijet suočava s "dugim putovanjem" u nastojanju da pobijedi ovaj virus.

Američki Centar za kontrolu bolesti (CDC) priopćio je da ispituje 14 novih izvješća o mogućem prijenosu virusa zika seksualnim putem.
Prema navodima CDC-a, među njima su i slučajevi u koje su uključene i trudnice, prenosi BBC.
Ovo tijelo obznanilo je najnovije informacije istodobno s objavljivanjem novih smjernica posvećenih seksualnom prijenosu virusa, koje su objavljene uz potvrdu o prvom slučaju zaraze virusom zika kod osobe u kontinentalnom dijelu SAD-a koja nije putovala u virusom zahvaćene krajeve. Slučaj je povezan sa seksualnim kontaktom s partnerom koji je zaražen virusom.
CDC je savjetovao muškarce koji putuju u područja u kojima je aktivan zika virus da upotrebljavaju kondome ili se suzdrže od seksa za vrijeme trajanja trudnoće.
Još uvijek nema dokaza da žene mogu prenijeti zika virus svojim seksualnim partnerima, no potrebno je poduzeti još istraživanja kako bi se shvatio ovaj problem, navelo je ovo tijelo.
Posljednji rezultati istraživanja koje je u Brazilu uključivalo i trudnice ojačali su teoriju da je zika virus povezan s defektom mikrocefalije kod novorođene djece i njihovim rađanjem s abnormalno malom glavom te da to može utjecati na njihov kognitivan razvoj. Istraživanje je također potvrdilo prisustvo zika virusa u plodnoj vodi dviju žena koje su imale simptome slične oboljelima od tog virusa tijekom trudnoće. Brazilski stručnjaci navode da to sugerira kako zika virus može zaraziti i fetus.
Glavni način infekcije i dalje ostaje ubod komarca i stručnjaci savjetuju da trudne žene nastoje izbjeći te insekte.
Margaret Chan, čelnica Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, rekla je u utorak u Brazilu kako se svijet suočava s "dugim putovanjem" u nastojanju da pobijedi ovaj virus.
