Banka hrane naišla je na žestoke kritike nakon što je najavila da će se zatvoriti sljedećeg ponedjeljka zbog sprovoda kraljice Elizabete II. Wimbledonska banka hrane oglasila se društvenim mrežama kako bi objavila ovu vijest, ali se suočila sa snažnom reakcijom razdražene javnosti.

Novi kralj Charles III. je potvrdio da će datum sprovoda ujedno biti i državni praznik. Kako bi obilježili sprovod, Wimbledonska banka hrane je napisala: "Izražavamo sućut kraljevskoj obitelji u ovom tužnom trenutku. Sva središta banaka hrane bit će zatvorena u ponedjeljak, 19. rujna zbog sprovoda. Ponovno ćemo otvoriti od utorka, 20. rujna."

No gnjevni članovi javnosti su im zbog te odluke počeli pisati ljutite poruke, prenosi Irish Mirror.

Banka hrane dodatno je objasnila obrazloženje, napisavši: "Obično zatvaramo državnim praznicima, a kako je ovo sada državni praznik, odlučili smo dati našem osoblju i radnicima priliku da iskažu svoje poštovanje."

Ljudi na to nisu ostali impresionirani, a jedna osoba je odgovorila: "Potvrđujete li da je mrtvo tijelo važnije od gladne djece?" Drugi je molio banku da poništi odluku, tweetajući: "Ovo nije dobro za vaš imidž. Siguran sam da radite nevjerojatno dobre stvari, ali bih vas pozvao da ponovno razmislite o ovom izboru... ljudi vas trebaju." Treći se ljutio: "Dovoljno je loše što banke hrane moraju postojati, ali cijeniti sprovod monarha iznad onih koji si ne mogu priuštiti prehraniti se doista je groteskno."

“Ovo je užasna odluka! Kao da kažete: Kraljica je mrtva - gladujte, seljaci!" komentirao je još jedan Britanac na Facebooku.

Ipak, banka hrane je danas promijenila kurs i ostat će otvorena nakon oštrih reakcija na svoju prvobitnu odluku. 

"Zbog goleme potpore koju smo dobili, sada imamo volontere koji će voditi našu smjenu ponedjeljkom kao i obično", objavila je banka hrane na Twitteru. “Kao podsjetnik, mi nismo državna služba i radimo isključivo na donacijama ljudi u vremenu, novcu i hrani.”

Wimbledonska banka nije bila jedina pučka kuhinja koja je trebala biti zatvorena zbog sprovoda. Neke druge će to stvarno i biti. To si banka hrane u East Elmbridgeu, podružnica banke hrane u Stoke-on-Trentu i podružnica banke hrane Keynsham koje su najavile da će poštovati državni praznik.

Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo se suočava s krizom troškova života od početka 2021. Zemlja je ovog srpnja dosegla najveću inflaciju u 40 godina.

Banka hrane naišla je na žestoke kritike nakon što je najavila da će se zatvoriti sljedećeg ponedjeljka zbog sprovoda kraljice Elizabete II. Wimbledonska banka hrane oglasila se društvenim mrežama kako bi objavila ovu vijest, ali se suočila sa snažnom reakcijom razdražene javnosti.

Novi kralj Charles III. je potvrdio da će datum sprovoda ujedno biti i državni praznik. Kako bi obilježili sprovod, Wimbledonska banka hrane je napisala: "Izražavamo sućut kraljevskoj obitelji u ovom tužnom trenutku. Sva središta banaka hrane bit će zatvorena u ponedjeljak, 19. rujna zbog sprovoda. Ponovno ćemo otvoriti od utorka, 20. rujna."

No gnjevni članovi javnosti su im zbog te odluke počeli pisati ljutite poruke, prenosi Irish Mirror.

Banka hrane dodatno je objasnila obrazloženje, napisavši: "Obično zatvaramo državnim praznicima, a kako je ovo sada državni praznik, odlučili smo dati našem osoblju i radnicima priliku da iskažu svoje poštovanje."

Ljudi na to nisu ostali impresionirani, a jedna osoba je odgovorila: "Potvrđujete li da je mrtvo tijelo važnije od gladne djece?" Drugi je molio banku da poništi odluku, tweetajući: "Ovo nije dobro za vaš imidž. Siguran sam da radite nevjerojatno dobre stvari, ali bih vas pozvao da ponovno razmislite o ovom izboru... ljudi vas trebaju." Treći se ljutio: "Dovoljno je loše što banke hrane moraju postojati, ali cijeniti sprovod monarha iznad onih koji si ne mogu priuštiti prehraniti se doista je groteskno."

“Ovo je užasna odluka! Kao da kažete: Kraljica je mrtva - gladujte, seljaci!" komentirao je još jedan Britanac na Facebooku.

Ipak, banka hrane je danas promijenila kurs i ostat će otvorena nakon oštrih reakcija na svoju prvobitnu odluku. 

"Zbog goleme potpore koju smo dobili, sada imamo volontere koji će voditi našu smjenu ponedjeljkom kao i obično", objavila je banka hrane na Twitteru. “Kao podsjetnik, mi nismo državna služba i radimo isključivo na donacijama ljudi u vremenu, novcu i hrani.”

Wimbledonska banka nije bila jedina pučka kuhinja koja je trebala biti zatvorena zbog sprovoda. Neke druge će to stvarno i biti. To si banka hrane u East Elmbridgeu, podružnica banke hrane u Stoke-on-Trentu i podružnica banke hrane Keynsham koje su najavile da će poštovati državni praznik.

Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo se suočava s krizom troškova života od početka 2021. Zemlja je ovog srpnja dosegla najveću inflaciju u 40 godina.

Banka hrane naišla je na žestoke kritike nakon što je najavila da će se zatvoriti sljedećeg ponedjeljka zbog sprovoda kraljice Elizabete II. Wimbledonska banka hrane oglasila se društvenim mrežama kako bi objavila ovu vijest, ali se suočila sa snažnom reakcijom razdražene javnosti.

Novi kralj Charles III. je potvrdio da će datum sprovoda ujedno biti i državni praznik. Kako bi obilježili sprovod, Wimbledonska banka hrane je napisala: "Izražavamo sućut kraljevskoj obitelji u ovom tužnom trenutku. Sva središta banaka hrane bit će zatvorena u ponedjeljak, 19. rujna zbog sprovoda. Ponovno ćemo otvoriti od utorka, 20. rujna."

No gnjevni članovi javnosti su im zbog te odluke počeli pisati ljutite poruke, prenosi Irish Mirror.
