Iranski redatelj Dariush Mehrjui i njegova supruga izbodeni su nasmrt nožem u subotu navečer u njihovu domu blizu Teherana, a njegova je duga karijera pridonijela porastu ugleda iranskog filma u svijetu. 

Iranska agencija Isna izvijestila je tijekom večeri, pozivajući se na policiju, da su identificirana četvorica napadača, od kojih su dvojica uhićena. Okolnosti ovog dvostrukog ubojstva u nedjelju još nisu bile poznate. 

Dariush Mehrjui koji je imao 83 godine, bio je istaknuti predstavnik iranskog filma jer se šest desetljeća kao redatelj, producent i scenarist borio s cenzurom prije i nakon Islamske revolucije 1979.

G. 1969. snimio je "Kravu", jedan od prvih filmova iranskog novog vala, za koji je na venecijanskoj Mostri 1971. dobio nagradu ocjenjivačkog suda.

Njegova 54-godišnja supruga Vahideh Mohammadifar bila je scenarist i scenograf.

Par je "ubijen s nekoliko uboda nožem u vrat", rekao je pravosudni čelnik pokrajine Alborza, zapadno od Teherana, Hossein Fazeli-Harikandi.

Policija je priopćila da nije pronašla tragove provale u kuću, ali je "pronašla indicije koje su vjerojatno povezane s napadačem".
Ministar kulture Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili rekao je da je zatražio da se "rasvijetle okolnosti tog tužnog i bolnog incidenta".

Dariush Mehrjui, rođen 8. prosinca 1939. u Teheranu, studirao je filozofiju u Sjedinjenim Državama, odakle se vraća u Iran, gdje pokreće književni časopis. G. 1966. snima prvi film, Dijamant 33, parodiju na filmove o Jamesu Bondu.

Poslije je snimao filmove sa snažnom socijalnom notom, među kojima su "Krava" (1969.), Gospodin naivac (1970.), Ciklus (1974.), Stanari (1987.) i Hamoun (1990.).

"Velik utjecaj na mene imali su Ingmar Bergman i Michelangelo Antonioni", rekao je u razgovoru za iranska glasila.

"Ne radim otvoreno političke filmove u kojima bih promicao neku ideologiju ili neko stajalište. No sve je politika (...) Film je poput poezije, koja se ne svrstava ni na čiju stranu. Umjetnost ne smije biti propagandno sredstvo", rekao je.

Iranski redatelj Dariush Mehrjui i njegova supruga izbodeni su nasmrt nožem u subotu navečer u njihovu domu blizu Teherana, a njegova je duga karijera pridonijela porastu ugleda iranskog filma u svijetu. 

Iranska agencija Isna izvijestila je tijekom večeri, pozivajući se na policiju, da su identificirana četvorica napadača, od kojih su dvojica uhićena. Okolnosti ovog dvostrukog ubojstva u nedjelju još nisu bile poznate. 

Dariush Mehrjui koji je imao 83 godine, bio je istaknuti predstavnik iranskog filma jer se šest desetljeća kao redatelj, producent i scenarist borio s cenzurom prije i nakon Islamske revolucije 1979.

G. 1969. snimio je "Kravu", jedan od prvih filmova iranskog novog vala, za koji je na venecijanskoj Mostri 1971. dobio nagradu ocjenjivačkog suda.

Njegova 54-godišnja supruga Vahideh Mohammadifar bila je scenarist i scenograf.

Par je "ubijen s nekoliko uboda nožem u vrat", rekao je pravosudni čelnik pokrajine Alborza, zapadno od Teherana, Hossein Fazeli-Harikandi.

Policija je priopćila da nije pronašla tragove provale u kuću, ali je "pronašla indicije koje su vjerojatno povezane s napadačem".
Ministar kulture Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili rekao je da je zatražio da se "rasvijetle okolnosti tog tužnog i bolnog incidenta".

Dariush Mehrjui, rođen 8. prosinca 1939. u Teheranu, studirao je filozofiju u Sjedinjenim Državama, odakle se vraća u Iran, gdje pokreće književni časopis. G. 1966. snima prvi film, Dijamant 33, parodiju na filmove o Jamesu Bondu.

Poslije je snimao filmove sa snažnom socijalnom notom, među kojima su "Krava" (1969.), Gospodin naivac (1970.), Ciklus (1974.), Stanari (1987.) i Hamoun (1990.).

"Velik utjecaj na mene imali su Ingmar Bergman i Michelangelo Antonioni", rekao je u razgovoru za iranska glasila.

"Ne radim otvoreno političke filmove u kojima bih promicao neku ideologiju ili neko stajalište. No sve je politika (...) Film je poput poezije, koja se ne svrstava ni na čiju stranu. Umjetnost ne smije biti propagandno sredstvo", rekao je.
