BMP-1 je borbeno vozilo pješaštva bivšeg SSSR-a i prvo serijsko vozilo namijenjeno prijevozu i potpori pješadiji. Uvedeno je u sovjetsku vojsku 1966., a za tadašnje vrijeme bio je to revolucionarni dizajn, kombiniran svojstvima oklopnog transportera i tenka. Vozilo je dizajnirano da obrani pješaštvo od nuklearnog, kemijskog i biološkog oružja i omogućilo je da se pješaštvo bori uz tenkove. Također se povećala mobilnost ljudi koji su mogli biti lakše dopremljeni na bojište. Proizvodilo se do 1983. godine, a BMP-1 od 13 tona u koji stane 11 osoba i dalje je drugo najbrojnije borbeno vozilo pješaštva u Ukrajini nakon bolje naoružanog BMP-2.

Kako je BMP-1 lagano zaštićen čeličnim oklopom i njegovom topu nedostaje udarna snaga, Ukrajinci su ovo vozilo koncem  devedesetih te početkom dvijetisućitih modernizirali. Kako bi poboljšali njegovu vatrenu moć te višak vozila koji su imali prije rata učinili vrjednijima na izvoznom tržištu, Znanstveno-tehnički centar za topništvo i malokalibarsko oružje u Kijevu zamijenio je staru kupolu BMP-a novom puno otpornijom i izrađenom od domaćih komponenti. Ovaj nadograđeni BMP za devet osoba nazvali su BMP-1U, odnosno Škval što u prijevodu znači olujni vjetar. Škval je naoružan automatskim 30 milimetarskim topom, 7,62 milimetarskim mitraljezom, ima i 30 milimetarski automatski bacač granata.

Upravo se ovaj modernizirani BMP-1U nedavno pojavio na ruskom propagandnom videu gdje je uključen u rat protiv Ukrajinaca. A zanimljivo je kako je uopće dospio u ruske ruke. Zarobljen je u Gruziji!

Gruzija je, naime, od Ukrajinaca 2007. kupila ova modernizirana borbena vozila, a godinu dana kasnije započeo je rusko-gruzijski rat u separatističkim regijama Južna Osetija i Abhazija koje su se odcijepile. Rat je trajao samo pet dana, prekid vatre je dogovoren posredovanjem EU-a, a Gruzija je ostala bez dviju pokrajina.

U tom su ratu Rusi zarobili 15 ukrajinskih Škvalova, koje su sad u nedostatku drugih borbenih vozila uključili u ratne operacije. Kremlj je dodijelio sve bivše gruzijske BMP-ove jedinici na prvoj crti, a također su zarobili nekoliko BMP-1U od Ukrajinaca.

Analitičar Forbesa smatra kako Rusi neće moći održavati ta borbena vozila jer su napravljena od ukrajinskih dijelova. Također smatra kako činjenica da su Rusi bili prisiljeni prihvatiti logističke komplikacije sa Škvalom, govori o njihovoj očajničkoj potrebi za borbenim vozilima. 

Kad su započeli rat punog opsega u veljači 2022, Rusi su imali 400 aktivnih BMP-3, 2800 BMP-2 i 600 BMP-1. Od tada su izgubili oko 2000 BMP-ova svih modela, uključujući 500 BMP-1.

„Ruska industrija ne može proizvesti nove BMP-3 dovoljno brzo da nadoknadi te gubitke, pa Kremlj povlači stare BMP-1 i BMP-2 iz skladišta, mijenja njihove brtve i baterije i šalje ih na front kao zamjenu, ocjenjuje Forbes.

BMP-1 je borbeno vozilo pješaštva bivšeg SSSR-a i prvo serijsko vozilo namijenjeno prijevozu i potpori pješadiji. Uvedeno je u sovjetsku vojsku 1966., a za tadašnje vrijeme bio je to revolucionarni dizajn, kombiniran svojstvima oklopnog transportera i tenka. Vozilo je dizajnirano da obrani pješaštvo od nuklearnog, kemijskog i biološkog oružja i omogućilo je da se pješaštvo bori uz tenkove. Također se povećala mobilnost ljudi koji su mogli biti lakše dopremljeni na bojište. Proizvodilo se do 1983. godine, a BMP-1 od 13 tona u koji stane 11 osoba i dalje je drugo najbrojnije borbeno vozilo pješaštva u Ukrajini nakon bolje naoružanog BMP-2.

Kako je BMP-1 lagano zaštićen čeličnim oklopom i njegovom topu nedostaje udarna snaga, Ukrajinci su ovo vozilo koncem  devedesetih te početkom dvijetisućitih modernizirali. Kako bi poboljšali njegovu vatrenu moć te višak vozila koji su imali prije rata učinili vrjednijima na izvoznom tržištu, Znanstveno-tehnički centar za topništvo i malokalibarsko oružje u Kijevu zamijenio je staru kupolu BMP-a novom puno otpornijom i izrađenom od domaćih komponenti. Ovaj nadograđeni BMP za devet osoba nazvali su BMP-1U, odnosno Škval što u prijevodu znači olujni vjetar. Škval je naoružan automatskim 30 milimetarskim topom, 7,62 milimetarskim mitraljezom, ima i 30 milimetarski automatski bacač granata.

Upravo se ovaj modernizirani BMP-1U nedavno pojavio na ruskom propagandnom videu gdje je uključen u rat protiv Ukrajinaca. A zanimljivo je kako je uopće dospio u ruske ruke. Zarobljen je u Gruziji!

Gruzija je, naime, od Ukrajinaca 2007. kupila ova modernizirana borbena vozila, a godinu dana kasnije započeo je rusko-gruzijski rat u separatističkim regijama Južna Osetija i Abhazija koje su se odcijepile. Rat je trajao samo pet dana, prekid vatre je dogovoren posredovanjem EU-a, a Gruzija je ostala bez dviju pokrajina.

U tom su ratu Rusi zarobili 15 ukrajinskih Škvalova, koje su sad u nedostatku drugih borbenih vozila uključili u ratne operacije. Kremlj je dodijelio sve bivše gruzijske BMP-ove jedinici na prvoj crti, a također su zarobili nekoliko BMP-1U od Ukrajinaca.

Analitičar Forbesa smatra kako Rusi neće moći održavati ta borbena vozila jer su napravljena od ukrajinskih dijelova. Također smatra kako činjenica da su Rusi bili prisiljeni prihvatiti logističke komplikacije sa Škvalom, govori o njihovoj očajničkoj potrebi za borbenim vozilima. 

Kad su započeli rat punog opsega u veljači 2022, Rusi su imali 400 aktivnih BMP-3, 2800 BMP-2 i 600 BMP-1. Od tada su izgubili oko 2000 BMP-ova svih modela, uključujući 500 BMP-1.

„Ruska industrija ne može proizvesti nove BMP-3 dovoljno brzo da nadoknadi te gubitke, pa Kremlj povlači stare BMP-1 i BMP-2 iz skladišta, mijenja njihove brtve i baterije i šalje ih na front kao zamjenu, ocjenjuje Forbes.
