U stampedu je 45 osoba pregaženo do smrti na stadionu u Tanzaniji dok su odavali počasti pokojnom predsjedniku Johnu Magufuliju, objavila je policija u utorak podatak koji govori da je broj žrtava višestruko veći od pet prvotno navedenih.

Policija u lučkome gradu Dar Es Salaamu, gdje se dogodio stampedo, smatra da je okidač bila prenapučenost stadiona i to što su ljudi ostali bez kisika.

"Točno je da je 45 ljudi poginulo zbog stampeda i zato što su se onesvijestili jer nisu imali dovoljno zraka", rekao je Lazaro Mambosasa, policijski zapovjednik za zonu Dar es Salaam.

Još 37 osoba koje su bile na pogrebu zadobilo je ozljede i bile su bolnički zbrinute, rekao je.

Tanzanijski mediji izvijestili su da se stampedo dogodio kada je velik broj ljudi pokušao prokrčiti si put i napustiti stadion preko neslužbenih izlaza.

Policija je prvotno objavila da je pet ljudi poginulo 23. ožujka i navela da je riječ o jednoj obitelji, uključivo majku s dvoje djece.

Magufuli, koji je omalovažavao prijetnju pandemije covida-19, pokopan je u petak, a umro je od srčanog zastoja, prema objašnjenju vlade.

Prije ukopa, lijes s njegovim ostacima provozio se velikim gradskim područjima kako bi mu ljudi mogli odati počast.

Magufulija je naslijedila Samia Suluhu Hassan, koja je bila potpredsjednica, a sada je u utorak za svog potpredsjednika imenovala ministra financija Philipa Mpanga.

U stampedu je 45 osoba pregaženo do smrti na stadionu u Tanzaniji dok su odavali počasti pokojnom predsjedniku Johnu Magufuliju, objavila je policija u utorak podatak koji govori da je broj žrtava višestruko veći od pet prvotno navedenih.

Policija u lučkome gradu Dar Es Salaamu, gdje se dogodio stampedo, smatra da je okidač bila prenapučenost stadiona i to što su ljudi ostali bez kisika.

"Točno je da je 45 ljudi poginulo zbog stampeda i zato što su se onesvijestili jer nisu imali dovoljno zraka", rekao je Lazaro Mambosasa, policijski zapovjednik za zonu Dar es Salaam.

Još 37 osoba koje su bile na pogrebu zadobilo je ozljede i bile su bolnički zbrinute, rekao je.

Tanzanijski mediji izvijestili su da se stampedo dogodio kada je velik broj ljudi pokušao prokrčiti si put i napustiti stadion preko neslužbenih izlaza.

Policija je prvotno objavila da je pet ljudi poginulo 23. ožujka i navela da je riječ o jednoj obitelji, uključivo majku s dvoje djece.

Magufuli, koji je omalovažavao prijetnju pandemije covida-19, pokopan je u petak, a umro je od srčanog zastoja, prema objašnjenju vlade.

Prije ukopa, lijes s njegovim ostacima provozio se velikim gradskim područjima kako bi mu ljudi mogli odati počast.

Magufulija je naslijedila Samia Suluhu Hassan, koja je bila potpredsjednica, a sada je u utorak za svog potpredsjednika imenovala ministra financija Philipa Mpanga.

U stampedu je 45 osoba pregaženo do smrti na stadionu u Tanzaniji dok su odavali počasti pokojnom predsjedniku Johnu Magufuliju, objavila je policija u utorak podatak koji govori da je broj žrtava višestruko veći od pet prvotno navedenih.

Policija u lučkome gradu Dar Es Salaamu, gdje se dogodio stampedo, smatra da je okidač bila prenapučenost stadiona i to što su ljudi ostali bez kisika.

"Točno je da je 45 ljudi poginulo zbog stampeda i zato što su se onesvijestili jer nisu imali dovoljno zraka", rekao je Lazaro Mambosasa, policijski zapovjednik za zonu Dar es Salaam.

Još 37 osoba koje su bile na pogrebu zadobilo je ozljede i bile su bolnički zbrinute, rekao je.
