Turski predsjednik Recep Tayyip Erdoğan nagovijestio je mogućnost pokretanja kopnene ofenzive na sirijska područja pod kontrolom kurdskih snaga, što je ozbiljno zabrinulo sirijski režim Bašara al-Asada i njegove saveznike u Moskvi.

Erdoğan je ovog vikenda naredio zračne udare preko granice sa Sirijom na lokacije za koje turska strana tvrdi da su uporišta kurdskih skupina odgovornih za bombaški napad u središtu Istanbula prije tjedan dana, u kojem je poginulo šest ljudi, a ranjena je 81 osoba, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Na povratku s otvorenja Svjetskog prvenstva u nogometu u Kataru, Erdoğan je novinarima rekao da sadašnja ofenzivna kampanja Turske u Siriji "nije samo ograničena na zračne operacije" te da bi se mogla proširiti na korištenje kopnenih snaga.

"Odgovarajuće vlasti, naše ministarstvo obrane i vojni zapovjednici zajedno će odlučiti razinu sile koju bi trebale primijeniti naše kopnene postrojbe", rekao je Erdoğan novinarima. "Odradit ćemo svoje konzultacije i potom poduzeti odgovarajuće korake", najavio je.

Turska je ove nedjelje pokrenula operaciju Kandža-mač (Pençe-Kılıç), u sklopu koje je izvela zračne udare na pozicije Sirijskih demokratskih snaga i Sirijske armije u sjevernom dijelu Sirije - gradovima Alep, Raka i al-Hasaka - te protiv pozicija Kurdistanske radničke stranke (PKK) u sjevernom Iraku. U sklopu operacije ispaljeni su i projektili zemlja-zemlja, no ni jedan vojnik nije prešao granicu.

Tursko ministarstvo obrane tvrdi da je u operaciji ubijeno 184 kurdskih vojnika te da je uništeno 89 meta, uključujući skloništa, bunkere, pećine i podzemne tunele. Kurdske su snage navodno uzvratile ispalivši dvije rakete s teritorija u Siriji na tursku pograničnu pokrajinu Karkamis, pri čemu je ubijeno dvoje ljudi.

Moskva, s kojom Ankara pokušava zadržati dobre odnose, izrazila je iznenađenje napadima za koje, kažu iz ruskih vlasti, nisu dobili nikakvo prethodno upozorenje. Posebni izaslanik predsjednika Vladimira Putina za Siriju, Aleksander Lavrentjev, rekao je kako se nada da će uspjeti "uvjeriti turske kolege da se suzdrže od korištenja pretjerane sile na teritoriju Sirije".

Lavrentjev je jučer bio u Kazahstanu, gdje se upravo održavaju trostrani sastanci o Siriji između predstavnika Rusije, Turske i Irana. "Rusija je mjesecima činila sve što je moguće da se spriječi bilo kakva velika kopnena operacija", izjavio je Lavrentjev.

U rijetkom primjeru u kojem su se Moskva i Washington našli na istoj strani, zabrinutost je izrazio i glasnogovornik američkog ministarstva vanjskih poslova Ned Price, prenosi Jutarnji list.

"Pozivamo na deeskalaciju u Siriji kako bismo zaštitili civilne živote i podržali zajednički cilj svladavanja ISIS-a. Turski predsjednik Recep Tayyip Erdoğan nagovijestio je mogućnost pokretanja kopnene ofenzive na sirijska područja pod kontrolom kurdskih snaga, što je ozbiljno zabrinulo sirijski režim Bašara al-Asada i njegove saveznike u Moskvi.

Erdoğan je ovog vikenda naredio zračne udare preko granice sa Sirijom na lokacije za koje turska strana tvrdi da su uporišta kurdskih skupina odgovornih za bombaški napad u središtu Istanbula prije tjedan dana, u kojem je poginulo šest ljudi, a ranjena je 81 osoba, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Na povratku s otvorenja Svjetskog prvenstva u nogometu u Kataru, Erdoğan je novinarima rekao da sadašnja ofenzivna kampanja Turske u Siriji "nije samo ograničena na zračne operacije" te da bi se mogla proširiti na korištenje kopnenih snaga.

"Odgovarajuće vlasti, naše ministarstvo obrane i vojni zapovjednici zajedno će odlučiti razinu sile koju bi trebale primijeniti naše kopnene postrojbe", rekao je Erdoğan novinarima. "Odradit ćemo svoje konzultacije i potom poduzeti odgovarajuće korake", najavio je.

Turska je ove nedjelje pokrenula operaciju Kandža-mač (Pençe-Kılıç), u sklopu koje je izvela zračne udare na pozicije Sirijskih demokratskih snaga i Sirijske armije u sjevernom dijelu Sirije - gradovima Alep, Raka i al-Hasaka - te protiv pozicija Kurdistanske radničke stranke (PKK) u sjevernom Iraku. U sklopu operacije ispaljeni su i projektili zemlja-zemlja, no ni jedan vojnik nije prešao granicu.

Tursko ministarstvo obrane tvrdi da je u operaciji ubijeno 184 kurdskih vojnika te da je uništeno 89 meta, uključujući skloništa, bunkere, pećine i podzemne tunele. Kurdske su snage navodno uzvratile ispalivši dvije rakete s teritorija u Siriji na tursku pograničnu pokrajinu Karkamis, pri čemu je ubijeno dvoje ljudi.

Moskva, s kojom Ankara pokušava zadržati dobre odnose, izrazila je iznenađenje napadima za koje, kažu iz ruskih vlasti, nisu dobili nikakvo prethodno upozorenje. Posebni izaslanik predsjednika Vladimira Putina za Siriju, Aleksander Lavrentjev, rekao je kako se nada da će uspjeti "uvjeriti turske kolege da se suzdrže od korištenja pretjerane sile na teritoriju Sirije".

Lavrentjev je jučer bio u Kazahstanu, gdje se upravo održavaju trostrani sastanci o Siriji između predstavnika Rusije, Turske i Irana. "Rusija je mjesecima činila sve što je moguće da se spriječi bilo kakva velika kopnena operacija", izjavio je Lavrentjev.

U rijetkom primjeru u kojem su se Moskva i Washington našli na istoj strani, zabrinutost je izrazio i glasnogovornik američkog ministarstva vanjskih poslova Ned Price, prenosi Jutarnji list.
