Svaki grad ima svoju neku tajnu, nepoznatu priču, pa je tako ima i Peking.

Krajem 1960-ih i ranih 1970-ih, u iščekivanju kiše nuklearnih bombi kao posljedice Hladnog rata, predsjednik Mao Ce Tung naredio je izgradnju skloništa u gradovima diljem zemlje koja su mogla izdržati eksploziju nuklearne bombe. U narednom razdoblju samo u Pekingu izgrađeno je oko 10.000 bunkera.

Ali kada se Kina otvorila vanjskom svijetu u kasnim 1980-ima, pekinško Ministarstvo obrane iskoristilo je priliku da iznajmi bunkere i pretvori ta nekadašnja skrovišta u male stambene jedinice. Danas, s padom noći, više od milijun ljudi - uglavnom radnika migranata i studenata iz ruralnih područja - ulazi u skriveni podzemni svemir, piše Ye Ming za National Geographic.

Fasciniran ovim fenomenom, fotograf Antonio Facilongo otputovao je u Peking u prosincu 2015. kako bi ga dokumentirao. Iako bunkere nije teško pronaći – posvuda su po gradu – ući u njih bilo je puno teže.

Kamo god je išao, činilo se da ga uvijek čeka straža ili općinski zakon koji je zabranjivao strancima ulazak u nekadašnja atomska skloništa. Obeshrabren, uputio je službenu žalbu lokalnoj vlasti, koja je odbijena. Facilongo se ipak uspio ušuljati dok je jedan od čuvara bio na pauzi za ručak.

Lagali svojima da dobro žive

Ali nakon što je uspio ući, mnogi su stanovnici bili sumnjičavi prema njemu i, u nekim slučajevima, bilo im je neugodno fotografirati se.

"Upoznao sam oko 150 ljudi i samo 50 mi je dalo dopuštenje da ih fotografiram", rekao je. I dodao da su neki od njih bili u strahu, jer su svojim obiteljima govorili da imaju dobre poslove i da žive u pristojnim stanovima.

Uvjeti života u bunkerima su teški. Iako su izgrađene s kompletnim električnim, vodovodnim i kanalizacijskim sustavima koji su mjesecima mogli služiti ljudima u slučaju rata ili nuklearne katastrofe, nedostatak odgovarajuće ventilacije ostavio je zrak u unutrašnjosti ustajalim i pljesnivim. A tu je i problem pretrpanih i neuvjetnih kuhinja i kupaonica koje stanari dijele.

Iako lokalni zakon zahtijeva da minimalni stambeni prostor po stanaru bude četiri kvadratna metra, ovaj se propis često zanemaruje.

"Ovo je jedno od najsiromašnijih mjesta na kojima sam ikada bio", kaže Facilongo.

Kako bi se pozabavili problemom nemara vlasnika i sigurnosnim rizicima, gradske vlasti Pekinga zabranile su korištenje atomskih skloništa i drugih skladišnih prostora u stambene svrhe 2010. godine. No pokušaji preseljenja ljudi dosad su bili neuspješni. Glavni razlog - stanovnici nemaju kamo.

‘Nuklearne obitelji‘

Tijekom posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća cijene kuća u Pekingu skočile su u nebo. Četvorni metar stambenog prostora u prosjeku stoji 5014 eura, što ga čini jednim od najskupljih gradova na svijetu za život. S druge strane, milijuni ljudi migrirali su iz ruralnih područja u glavni grad u potrazi za boljim prilikama. Ali Hukou - zastarjeli sustav registracije obitelji - povezuje socijalne beneficije pojedinca s njihovim mjestom podrijetla.

Nuklearni bunkeri jedna su od rijetkih opcija dostupnih radnicima iz unutrašnjosti. Facilongo kaže da manja jedinica može stajati oko 34 eura godišnje, dok veće sobe u spavaonicama do 10 osoba koštaju oko 17 eura.

Mnogi od stanovnika su mladi ljudi koji vjeruju da su podzemne nastambe samo prijelazna faza u njihovim životima dok ne steknu financijskih sredstava da si priušte sobu s prozorima i sunčevom svjetlošću.

Posljednjih godina primjetan je još jedan fenomen, organizacije koje prazne skloništa i pretvaraju ih u društvene centre. Facciolongo je pronašao prostore pretvorene u blagovaonice, sobe za bilijar, karaoke, pa čak i kaligrafsku akademiju.

Ovi centri pružaju stanovnicima koji žive u betonskoj džungli Pekinga priliku za interakciju s drugim društvenim klasama koje su inače prilično rigidne i nametnute, piše National Geographic.

Tako se u ovom slučaju pokazao socijalni jaz, koji se ne može poništiti dekretom, ali i socijalna integracija koja se može javiti gdje je se ne očekuje.

Svaki grad ima svoju neku tajnu, nepoznatu priču, pa je tako ima i Peking.

Krajem 1960-ih i ranih 1970-ih, u iščekivanju kiše nuklearnih bombi kao posljedice Hladnog rata, predsjednik Mao Ce Tung naredio je izgradnju skloništa u gradovima diljem zemlje koja su mogla izdržati eksploziju nuklearne bombe. U narednom razdoblju samo u Pekingu izgrađeno je oko 10.000 bunkera.

Ali kada se Kina otvorila vanjskom svijetu u kasnim 1980-ima, pekinško Ministarstvo obrane iskoristilo je priliku da iznajmi bunkere i pretvori ta nekadašnja skrovišta u male stambene jedinice. Danas, s padom noći, više od milijun ljudi - uglavnom radnika migranata i studenata iz ruralnih područja - ulazi u skriveni podzemni svemir, piše Ye Ming za National Geographic.

Fasciniran ovim fenomenom, fotograf Antonio Facilongo otputovao je u Peking u prosincu 2015. kako bi ga dokumentirao. Iako bunkere nije teško pronaći – posvuda su po gradu – ući u njih bilo je puno teže.

Kamo god je išao, činilo se da ga uvijek čeka straža ili općinski zakon koji je zabranjivao strancima ulazak u nekadašnja atomska skloništa. Obeshrabren, uputio je službenu žalbu lokalnoj vlasti, koja je odbijena. Facilongo se ipak uspio ušuljati dok je jedan od čuvara bio na pauzi za ručak.

Lagali svojima da dobro žive

Ali nakon što je uspio ući, mnogi su stanovnici bili sumnjičavi prema njemu i, u nekim slučajevima, bilo im je neugodno fotografirati se.

"Upoznao sam oko 150 ljudi i samo 50 mi je dalo dopuštenje da ih fotografiram", rekao je. I dodao da su neki od njih bili u strahu, jer su svojim obiteljima govorili da imaju dobre poslove i da žive u pristojnim stanovima.

Uvjeti života u bunkerima su teški. Iako su izgrađene s kompletnim električnim, vodovodnim i kanalizacijskim sustavima koji su mjesecima mogli služiti ljudima u slučaju rata ili nuklearne katastrofe, nedostatak odgovarajuće ventilacije ostavio je zrak u unutrašnjosti ustajalim i pljesnivim. A tu je i problem pretrpanih i neuvjetnih kuhinja i kupaonica koje stanari dijele.

Iako lokalni zakon zahtijeva da minimalni stambeni prostor po stanaru bude četiri kvadratna metra, ovaj se propis često zanemaruje.

"Ovo je jedno od najsiromašnijih mjesta na kojima sam ikada bio", kaže Facilongo.

Kako bi se pozabavili problemom nemara vlasnika i sigurnosnim rizicima, gradske vlasti Pekinga zabranile su korištenje atomskih skloništa i drugih skladišnih prostora u stambene svrhe 2010. godine. No pokušaji preseljenja ljudi dosad su bili neuspješni. Glavni razlog - stanovnici nemaju kamo.

‘Nuklearne obitelji‘

Tijekom posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća cijene kuća u Pekingu skočile su u nebo. Četvorni metar stambenog prostora u prosjeku stoji 5014 eura, što ga čini jednim od najskupljih gradova na svijetu za život. S druge strane, milijuni ljudi migrirali su iz ruralnih područja u glavni grad u potrazi za boljim prilikama. Ali Hukou - zastarjeli sustav registracije obitelji - povezuje socijalne beneficije pojedinca s njihovim mjestom podrijetla.

Nuklearni bunkeri jedna su od rijetkih opcija dostupnih radnicima iz unutrašnjosti. Facilongo kaže da manja jedinica može stajati oko 34 eura godišnje, dok veće sobe u spavaonicama do 10 osoba koštaju oko 17 eura.

Mnogi od stanovnika su mladi ljudi koji vjeruju da su podzemne nastambe samo prijelazna faza u njihovim životima dok ne steknu financijskih sredstava da si priušte sobu s prozorima i sunčevom svjetlošću.

Posljednjih godina primjetan je još jedan fenomen, organizacije koje prazne skloništa i pretvaraju ih u društvene centre. Facciolongo je pronašao prostore pretvorene u blagovaonice, sobe za bilijar, karaoke, pa čak i kaligrafsku akademiju.

Ovi centri pružaju stanovnicima koji žive u betonskoj džungli Pekinga priliku za interakciju s drugim društvenim klasama koje su inače prilično rigidne i nametnute, piše National Geographic.

Tako se u ovom slučaju pokazao socijalni jaz, koji se ne može poništiti dekretom, ali i socijalna integracija koja se može javiti gdje je se ne očekuje.
