Američki predsjednik Donald Trump će potpisati zakon o sigurnosti granice kako bi izbjegao još jednu blokadu rada vlade, ali će i proglasiti izvanredno stanje kako bi pokušao dobiti sredstva za obećani zid na američko-meksičkoj granici, rekla je u četvrtak glasnogovornica Bijele kuće.
U nastojanju da zaobiđe Kongres kako bi dobio novac koji su mu kongresnici demokrati do sada uskraćivali za zid duž američko-meksičke granice Trump se izgleda usmjerio prema izazivanju sudske tužbe od demokrata.
"Predsjednik Trump će potpisati zakon o financiranju vlade i kao što je ranije izjavio isto tako će poduzeti drugu izvršnu aktivnost, uključujući nacionalno izvanredno stanje, kako bi osigurao da prekinemo nacionalnu sigurnosnu i humanitarnu krizu na granici", rekla je glasnogovornica Bijele kuće Sarah Sanders.
"Predsjednik još jednom ispunjava svoje obećanje da izgradi zid, zaštiti granicu i osigura našu sjajnu zemlju", rekla je u priopćenju.
Trump stanje na južnoj američkoj granici opisuje kao krizu i želi podići zid kako bi spriječio masovnu ilegalnu imigraciju te ulazak droge i kriminalaca u SAD.
Dvostranački kompromisni zakon o financiranju savezne vlade koji bi trebao uskoro stići na Trumpov stol nakon što se izglasa u Senatu koji vode republikanci i u Zastupničkom domu koji vode demokrati osigurat će više od 300 milijarda dolara za ministarstvo domovinske sigurnosti i niz drugih agencija do 30. rujna, kraja tekuće proračunske godine.
Financiranje tih agencija istječe u petak što bi izazvalo još jednu djelomičnu blokadu savezne vlade u subotu ujutro ako Kongres i Trump ne djeluju žurno.
Izvor upoznat sa situacijom rekao je kako je Bijela kuća utvrdila iznos od 2,7 milijarda dolara koji je ranije osigurao Kongres koji bi se mogao preusmjeriti za financiranje zida kao dio izvanrednog stanja.
Izvor je rekao kako su odvjetnici Bijele kuće provjerili brojke i vjeruju kako će izdržati tužbu na sudu. Prema ustavu Kongres drži nacionalnu blagajnu i donosi glavne odluke o trošenju novca poreznih obveznika.
Trumpova administracija natuknula je kako bi mogla iskoristiti ovlasti nacionalnog izvanrednog stanja da preusmjeri novce koje je Kongres već opredijelio za druge svrhe u plaćanje zida na američko-meksičkoj granici.
Trump je izazvao 35-dnevnu blokadu oko četvrtine savezne vlade svojim zahtjevom iz prosinca od 5,7 milijarda dolara za izgradnju dijela zida.
Uskraćujući mu taj novac demokrati u Kongresu sprječavaju Trumpa u ispunjavanju jednog od ključnih obećanja iz kampanje 2016.
Zakon o sigurnosti granice osigurao bi 1,37 milijarda dolara za izgradnju 88,5 km novih fizičkih zapreka na granici. To je ista razina financiranja koju je Kongres osigurao za mjere sigurnosti na granici prošle godine uključujući prepreke ali na betonski zid.

Američki predsjednik Donald Trump će potpisati zakon o sigurnosti granice kako bi izbjegao još jednu blokadu rada vlade, ali će i proglasiti izvanredno stanje kako bi pokušao dobiti sredstva za obećani zid na američko-meksičkoj granici, rekla je u četvrtak glasnogovornica Bijele kuće.
U nastojanju da zaobiđe Kongres kako bi dobio novac koji su mu kongresnici demokrati do sada uskraćivali za zid duž američko-meksičke granice Trump se izgleda usmjerio prema izazivanju sudske tužbe od demokrata.
"Predsjednik Trump će potpisati zakon o financiranju vlade i kao što je ranije izjavio isto tako će poduzeti drugu izvršnu aktivnost, uključujući nacionalno izvanredno stanje, kako bi osigurao da prekinemo nacionalnu sigurnosnu i humanitarnu krizu na granici", rekla je glasnogovornica Bijele kuće Sarah Sanders.
"Predsjednik još jednom ispunjava svoje obećanje da izgradi zid, zaštiti granicu i osigura našu sjajnu zemlju", rekla je u priopćenju.
Trump stanje na južnoj američkoj granici opisuje kao krizu i želi podići zid kako bi spriječio masovnu ilegalnu imigraciju te ulazak droge i kriminalaca u SAD.
Dvostranački kompromisni zakon o financiranju savezne vlade koji bi trebao uskoro stići na Trumpov stol nakon što se izglasa u Senatu koji vode republikanci i u Zastupničkom domu koji vode demokrati osigurat će više od 300 milijarda dolara za ministarstvo domovinske sigurnosti i niz drugih agencija do 30. rujna, kraja tekuće proračunske godine.
Financiranje tih agencija istječe u petak što bi izazvalo još jednu djelomičnu blokadu savezne vlade u subotu ujutro ako Kongres i Trump ne djeluju žurno.
Izvor upoznat sa situacijom rekao je kako je Bijela kuća utvrdila iznos od 2,7 milijarda dolara koji je ranije osigurao Kongres koji bi se mogao preusmjeriti za financiranje zida kao dio izvanrednog stanja.
Izvor je rekao kako su odvjetnici Bijele kuće provjerili brojke i vjeruju kako će izdržati tužbu na sudu. Prema ustavu Kongres drži nacionalnu blagajnu i donosi glavne odluke o trošenju novca poreznih obveznika.
Trumpova administracija natuknula je kako bi mogla iskoristiti ovlasti nacionalnog izvanrednog stanja da preusmjeri novce koje je Kongres već opredijelio za druge svrhe u plaćanje zida na američko-meksičkoj granici.
Trump je izazvao 35-dnevnu blokadu oko četvrtine savezne vlade svojim zahtjevom iz prosinca od 5,7 milijarda dolara za izgradnju dijela zida.
Uskraćujući mu taj novac demokrati u Kongresu sprječavaju Trumpa u ispunjavanju jednog od ključnih obećanja iz kampanje 2016.
Zakon o sigurnosti granice osigurao bi 1,37 milijarda dolara za izgradnju 88,5 km novih fizičkih zapreka na granici. To je ista razina financiranja koju je Kongres osigurao za mjere sigurnosti na granici prošle godine uključujući prepreke ali na betonski zid.
