Volodimir Zelenskij došao je na vlast prije tri godine obećavši završetak rata s ruskim separatistima na istoku. Sada je suočen s ruskom invazijom koja bi mogla svrgnuti njegovu vladu i uništiti ukrajinsku demokraciju. 

Rusija je jutros projektilima zasula ukrajinske gradove, a Zelenskij je pozvao sve građane da brane Ukrajinu. Rekao je da oružje može dobiti svatko tko to želi. 

"Rusija je mučki napala našu državu poput nacističke Njemačke u Drugom svjetskom ratu", rekao je Zelenskij u obraćanju naciji. 

"Rusija je krenula putem zla, ali Ukrajina će se braniti i neće predati svoju slobodu".

Katastrofalan je to ishod za Zelenskija, 44-godišnjeg bivšeg komičara čiji pozivi proteklih godina da NATO primi Ukrajinu nisu naišli na plodno tlo, ali su razjarili ruskog predsjednika Vladimira Putina. 

Moskva je zatražila da joj NATO obeća da nikada neće primiti Ukrajinu, zemlju koja je politički, povijesno i kulturalno Rusiji vrlo važna, što je Zapad odbio. Putin je potom Ukrajini zanijekao pravo da postoji kao neovisna država. 

Sluga narodu

Posljednjih tjedana Zelenskij je primao pohvale zapadnih državnika za svoju smirenost i pozive sunarodnjacima da ne paničare iako je 150 tisuća ruskih vojnika na njihovim granicama.

Kritizirao je strana veleposlanstva koja su povlačila svoje osoblje iz Ukrajine i ukrajinske poduzetnike koji su počeli bježati iz zemlje. 

Zelenskij je neočekivani ratni vođa. Popularnost je stekao gledanom televizijskom serijom "Sluga narodu" u kojoj je glumio iskrenog školskog učitelja koji postaje predsjednik države i dovitljivo nadmudruje pokvarene političare i mutne biznismene. 

U travnju 2019. uvjerljivo je pobijedio na stvarnim predsjedničkim izborima, ponajviše obećanjem da će stati na kraj sustavnoj korupciji u državi. Međutim, Rusija je mu je uvijek bila najveći izazov u gradnji moderne, demokratske i stabilne europske države. 

Novo lice 

Njegova stranka Službe narodu, nazvana po seriji koja ga je proslavila, osvojila je veliku većinu na parlamentarnim izborima u srpnju 2019. godine. Počeo je graditi povjerenje s Rusijom, ali to nije dugo trajalo.

Moskva je nastavila podržavati i vojno pomagati separatiste na istoku. Riskirajući moskovski bijes, potpuno se okrenuo zapadu.

"Svi trebaju razumjeti da smo mi u ratu, mi branimo demokraciju u Europi i branimo svoju zemlju i ne možete nam samo pričati fraze o reformrama", rekao je u intervjuu 2021. godine.

"Svakoga dana dokazujemo da smo spremni biti u NATO-u više od većine zemalja EU".

Zelenskij je došao na vlast na valu javnog nezadovoljstva korumpiranom ukrajinskom političkom elitom. Uvjerljivo je pobijedio biznismena Petra Porošenka. 

"Ja sam novo lice. Nikad nisam bio u politici", objasnio je tada Reutersu po čemu se razlikuje od drugih. 

"Nisam prevario ljude. Mogu se poistovjetiti sa mnom. Ako sam neiskusan, ako nešto ne znam, ne sramim se to priznati".

Volodimir Zelenskij došao je na vlast prije tri godine obećavši završetak rata s ruskim separatistima na istoku. Sada je suočen s ruskom invazijom koja bi mogla svrgnuti njegovu vladu i uništiti ukrajinsku demokraciju. 

Rusija je jutros projektilima zasula ukrajinske gradove, a Zelenskij je pozvao sve građane da brane Ukrajinu. Rekao je da oružje može dobiti svatko tko to želi. 

"Rusija je mučki napala našu državu poput nacističke Njemačke u Drugom svjetskom ratu", rekao je Zelenskij u obraćanju naciji. 

"Rusija je krenula putem zla, ali Ukrajina će se braniti i neće predati svoju slobodu".

Katastrofalan je to ishod za Zelenskija, 44-godišnjeg bivšeg komičara čiji pozivi proteklih godina da NATO primi Ukrajinu nisu naišli na plodno tlo, ali su razjarili ruskog predsjednika Vladimira Putina. 

Moskva je zatražila da joj NATO obeća da nikada neće primiti Ukrajinu, zemlju koja je politički, povijesno i kulturalno Rusiji vrlo važna, što je Zapad odbio. Putin je potom Ukrajini zanijekao pravo da postoji kao neovisna država. 

Sluga narodu

Posljednjih tjedana Zelenskij je primao pohvale zapadnih državnika za svoju smirenost i pozive sunarodnjacima da ne paničare iako je 150 tisuća ruskih vojnika na njihovim granicama.

Kritizirao je strana veleposlanstva koja su povlačila svoje osoblje iz Ukrajine i ukrajinske poduzetnike koji su počeli bježati iz zemlje. 

Zelenskij je neočekivani ratni vođa. Popularnost je stekao gledanom televizijskom serijom "Sluga narodu" u kojoj je glumio iskrenog školskog učitelja koji postaje predsjednik države i dovitljivo nadmudruje pokvarene političare i mutne biznismene. 

U travnju 2019. uvjerljivo je pobijedio na stvarnim predsjedničkim izborima, ponajviše obećanjem da će stati na kraj sustavnoj korupciji u državi. Međutim, Rusija je mu je uvijek bila najveći izazov u gradnji moderne, demokratske i stabilne europske države. 

Novo lice 

Njegova stranka Službe narodu, nazvana po seriji koja ga je proslavila, osvojila je veliku većinu na parlamentarnim izborima u srpnju 2019. godine. Počeo je graditi povjerenje s Rusijom, ali to nije dugo trajalo.

Moskva je nastavila podržavati i vojno pomagati separatiste na istoku. Riskirajući moskovski bijes, potpuno se okrenuo zapadu.

"Svi trebaju razumjeti da smo mi u ratu, mi branimo demokraciju u Europi i branimo svoju zemlju i ne možete nam samo pričati fraze o reformrama", rekao je u intervjuu 2021. godine.

"Svakoga dana dokazujemo da smo spremni biti u NATO-u više od većine zemalja EU".

Zelenskij je došao na vlast na valu javnog nezadovoljstva korumpiranom ukrajinskom političkom elitom. Uvjerljivo je pobijedio biznismena Petra Porošenka.

Volodimir Zelenskij došao je na vlast prije tri godine obećavši završetak rata s ruskim separatistima na istoku. Sada je suočen s ruskom invazijom koja bi mogla svrgnuti njegovu vladu i uništiti ukrajinsku demokraciju. 

Rusija je jutros projektilima zasula ukrajinske gradove, a Zelenskij je pozvao sve građane da brane Ukrajinu. Rekao je da oružje može dobiti svatko tko to želi. 

"Rusija je mučki napala našu državu poput nacističke Njemačke u Drugom svjetskom ratu", rekao je Zelenskij u obraćanju naciji. 

"Rusija je krenula putem zla, ali Ukrajina će se braniti i neće predati svoju slobodu".

Katastrofalan je to ishod za Zelenskija, 44-godišnjeg bivšeg komičara čiji pozivi proteklih godina da NATO primi Ukrajinu nisu naišli na plodno tlo, ali su razjarili ruskog predsje...
