"Vijeće je danas odlučilo da će se s iznošenjem dokaza tužiteljstva u predmetu protiv Ratka Mladića početi 9. srpnja", piše ICTY u priopćenju.

Sudci su na zahtjev obrane prekinuli suđenje 17. svibnja, dan nakon njegova početka i nakon uvodne riječi tužiteljstva. Obrana je ocijenila da nema dovoljno vremena za pripremu i upozorila je na "nepravilnosti" u objavljivanju dokaza kojima raspolaže ured tužitelja koji nije protivio odgodi.

Sudci su zatim bili odlučili da će se suđenje nastaviti 25. lipnja saslušanjem prvog svjedoka tužiteljstva koje je isprva bilo planirano za 29. svibnja, ali je obrana 31. svibnja opet zatražila šestomjesečnu odgodu, nakon čega je ICTY ponovo prekinuo suđenje, sada do 9. srpnja.

Mladić (70) koji je 26. svibnja 2011. uhićen u Srbiji pošto je šesnaest godina izmicao međunarodnom pravosuđu, optužen je za genocid, zločine protiv čovječnosti i ratne zločine u ratu u Bosni u kojemu je od 1992. do 1995. poginulo 100.000 ljudi, a 2,2 milijuna je raseljeno.

Mladić može dobiti kaznu doživotnog zatvora, a napose će odgovarati za pokolj u Srebrenici u srpnju 1995. kada je pobijeno gotovo 8.000 muslimanskih muškaraca i dječaka.

"Vijeće je danas odlučilo da će se s iznošenjem dokaza tužiteljstva u predmetu protiv Ratka Mladića početi 9. srpnja", piše ICTY u priopćenju.

Sudci su na zahtjev obrane prekinuli suđenje 17. svibnja, dan nakon njegova početka i nakon uvodne riječi tužiteljstva. Obrana je ocijenila da nema dovoljno vremena za pripremu i upozorila je na "nepravilnosti" u objavljivanju dokaza kojima raspolaže ured tužitelja koji nije protivio odgodi.

Sudci su zatim bili odlučili da će se suđenje nastaviti 25. lipnja saslušanjem prvog svjedoka tužiteljstva koje je isprva bilo planirano za 29. svibnja, ali je obrana 31. svibnja opet zatražila šestomjesečnu odgodu, nakon čega je ICTY ponovo prekinuo suđenje, sada do 9. srpnja.

Mladić (70) koji je 26. svibnja 2011. uhićen u Srbiji pošto je šesnaest godina izmicao međunarodnom pravosuđu, optužen je za genocid, zločine protiv čovječnosti i ratne zločine u ratu u Bosni u kojemu je od 1992. do 1995. poginulo 100.000 ljudi, a 2,2 milijuna je raseljeno.

Mladić može dobiti kaznu doživotnog zatvora, a napose će odgovarati za pokolj u Srebrenici u srpnju 1995. kada je pobijeno gotovo 8.000 muslimanskih muškaraca i dječaka.

Suđenje Mladiću na ICTY-ju nastavlja se 9. srpnja

Suđenje bivšem vojnom zapovjedniku bosanskih Srba Ratku Mladiću, prekinuto 17. svibnja, nastavit će se 9. srpnja saslušanjem prvog svjedoka tužiteljstva, priopćio je u petak Međunarodni kazneni sud za bivšu Jugoslaviju (ICTY).
