Kineski znanstvenici eksperimentirali su s mutiranim sojem koronavirusa koji se ispostavio kao 100 posto smrtonosan kod ‘humaniziranih‘ miševa - unatoč zabrinutosti da bi takvo istraživanje moglo izazvati još jednu pandemiju.
Znanstvenici u Pekingu - koji su povezani s kineskom vojskom - klonirali su virus sličan Covidu i upotrijebili ga za zarazu miševa.
GX_P2V napao je mozgove miševa koji su projektirani tako da odražavaju sličan genetski ustroj kao kod ljudi te se tako procjenjuje kako bi virus mogao reagirati ako se njime zaraze ljudi, objavljeno je prošlog tjedna u studiji iz Pekinga.
- Ovo naglašava rizik od prenošenja GX_P2V na ljude i pruža jedinstveni model za razumijevanje patogenih mehanizama virusa povezanih sa SARS-CoV-2, napisali su autori studije.
Smrtonosni virus je mutirana verzija GX/2017, slična koronavirusu otkrivenom u malezijskim pangolinima 2017. godine, tri godine prije pandemije.
Svi miševi koji su bili zaraženi virusom umrli su unutar samo osam dana, a istraživači ističu da je to iznenađujuće brza smrtnost.
Virus GX_P2V je zarazio pluća, kosti, oči, dušnik i mozak miševa i u konačnici uzrokovao njihovu smrt. U danima prije smrti, miševi su brzo izgubili na težini, držali su se pogrbljeno i kretali se tromo. Možda najstrašnije od svega, dan prije smrti, oči su im potpuno pobijeljele, piše New York Post.
Ovo je prva studija te vrste koja je izvijestila o sto postotnoj stopi smrtnosti kod miševa zaraženih virusom povezanim s Covidom te daleko nadmašuje rezultate drugih studija. No rezultati ove studije ne pokazuju jasno kako bi to utjecalo na ljudska bića.
Stručnjak za epidemiologiju na Institutu za genetiku Sveučilišta u Londonu, Francois Balloux, kritizirao je ovo istraživanje i nazvao ga znanstveno potpuno besmislenim.
- Ne vidim ništa što bi se moglo naučiti iz prisilnog zaražavanja neobične vrste humaniziranih miševa nasumičnim virusom. S druge strane, zna se da takve stvari mogu poći po zlu, napisao je profesor na društvenoj mreži X.
- Ne navodi se razina biološke sigurnosti kao ni mjere opreza koje se koriste u istraživanju. Nepostojanje ovih informacija povećava mogućnost da je dio ili cijelo ovo istraživanje, poput onoga u Wuhanu 2016.-2019., koje je vjerojatno i uzrokovalo pandemiju Covida-19, nepromišljeno provedeno bez minimalne biološke sigurnosti i praksi bitnih za istraživanje potencijalnih uzročnika pandemije, ističe Balloux.
Profesor kemije i kemijske biologije na Sveučilištu Ruger‘s, Richard Ebright potkrijepio je Ballouxovu zabrinutost jednostavnim: ‘Slažem se‘.
Umirovljeni profesor medicine na Stanfordu dr. Gennadi Glinsky je napisao da ‘ovo ludilo mora biti zaustavljeno prije nego što bude prekasno‘.
Čini se da ova studija iz 2024. nema nikakve veze s kineskim Institutom za virusologiju u Wuhanu, prenosi Jutarnji.hr.

Kineski znanstvenici eksperimentirali su s mutiranim sojem koronavirusa koji se ispostavio kao 100 posto smrtonosan kod ‘humaniziranih‘ miševa - unatoč zabrinutosti da bi takvo istraživanje moglo izazvati još jednu pandemiju.
Znanstvenici u Pekingu - koji su povezani s kineskom vojskom - klonirali su virus sličan Covidu i upotrijebili ga za zarazu miševa.
GX_P2V napao je mozgove miševa koji su projektirani tako da odražavaju sličan genetski ustroj kao kod ljudi te se tako procjenjuje kako bi virus mogao reagirati ako se njime zaraze ljudi, objavljeno je prošlog tjedna u studiji iz Pekinga.
- Ovo naglašava rizik od prenošenja GX_P2V na ljude i pruža jedinstveni model za razumijevanje patogenih mehanizama virusa povezanih sa SARS-CoV-2, napisali su autori studije.
Smrtonosni virus je mutirana verzija GX/2017, slična koronavirusu otkrivenom u malezijskim pangolinima 2017. godine, tri godine prije pandemije.
Svi miševi koji su bili zaraženi virusom umrli su unutar samo osam dana, a istraživači ističu da je to iznenađujuće brza smrtnost.
Virus GX_P2V je zarazio pluća, kosti, oči, dušnik i mozak miševa i u konačnici uzrokovao njihovu smrt. U danima prije smrti, miševi su brzo izgubili na težini, držali su se pogrbljeno i kretali se tromo. Možda najstrašnije od svega, dan prije smrti, oči su im potpuno pobijeljele, piše New York Post.
Ovo je prva studija te vrste koja je izvijestila o sto postotnoj stopi smrtnosti kod miševa zaraženih virusom povezanim s Covidom te daleko nadmašuje rezultate drugih studija. No rezultati ove studije ne pokazuju jasno kako bi to utjecalo na ljudska bića.
Stručnjak za epidemiologiju na Institutu za genetiku Sveučilišta u Londonu, Francois Balloux, kritizirao je ovo istraživanje i nazvao ga znanstveno potpuno besmislenim.
- Ne vidim ništa što bi se moglo naučiti iz prisilnog zaražavanja neobične vrste humaniziranih miševa nasumičnim virusom. S druge strane, zna se da takve stvari mogu poći po zlu, napisao je profesor na društvenoj mreži X.
- Ne navodi se razina biološke sigurnosti kao ni mjere opreza koje se koriste u istraživanju. Nepostojanje ovih informacija povećava mogućnost da je dio ili cijelo ovo istraživanje, poput onoga u Wuhanu 2016.-2019., koje je vjerojatno i uzrokovalo pandemiju Covida-19, nepromišljeno provedeno bez minimalne biološke sigurnosti i praksi bitnih za istraživanje potencijalnih uzročnika pandemije, ističe Balloux.
Profesor kemije i kemijske biologije na Sveučilištu Ruger‘s, Richard Ebright potkrijepio je Ballouxovu zabrinutost jednostavnim: ‘Slažem se‘.
Umirovljeni profesor medicine na Stanfordu dr. Gennadi Glinsky je napisao da ‘ovo ludilo mora biti zaustavljeno prije nego što bude prekasno‘.
Čini se da ova studija iz 2024. nema nikakve veze s kineskim Institutom za virusologiju u Wuhanu, prenosi Jutarnji.hr.
