Kasna istraživačka faza studije tvrtke AstraZenece upućuje na to da nova terapija antitijelima smanjuje rizik od razvoja simptoma covida-19 među populacijom za 77 posto, što ovoj farmaceutskoj tvrtki omogućuje da ponudi zaštitu i osobama koje lošije reagiraju na cjepiva.

Tvrtka je u petak izvijestila da je 75 posto sudionika istraživanja, a riječ je o terapiji dvama tipovima antitijela koju je razvio Sveučilišni medicinski centar Vanderbilt, bolovalo od nekih kroničnih stanja, među kojima je i slabija imunosna reakcija na cjepivo. 

Slične terapije utemeljene na vrsti lijekova poznatoj pod nazivom monoklonska protutijela, koja oponašaju prirodno prisutne proteine ​​imunosnog sustava, razvijaju Regeneron, Eli Lilly i GlaxoSmithKline s partnerom Virom.

No AstraZeneca je prva objavila pozitivne rezultate istraživanja u prevenciji covida novom terapijom antitijelima.

Izvršni direktor AstraZenece, Mene Pangalos je kazao da su rezultati ispitivanja terapije proučeni i objavljeni tri mjeseca nakon ubrizgavanja antitijela te da će znanstvenici nastaviti istraživanja i u narednih 15 mjeseci, u nadi da će cjepivo moći zaštititi cijepljene i do godinu dana. 

Pangalos je rekao i da bi novi AstraZenecin lijek protiv covida-19 mogao povećati stratešku vrijednost postojećeg cjepiva Vaxzevrije, razvijenog u suradnji sa Sveučilištem u Oxfordu.

Anglošvedski proizvođač lijekova naišao je na probleme u proizvodnji tijekom uvođenja Vaxzevrije (ranijeg naziva covid-19 cjepivo AstraZeneca), a vrlo rijetki slučajevi zgrušavanja krvi iznimno su loše utjecali na potražnju za ovim cjepivom u Europi. U Sjedinjenim Državama nije ni dobilo odobrenje regulatornih tijela.

Zabrinutost zbog širenja nove delta varijante koronavirusa i smanjenja učinkovitosti cjepiva, potaknuli su nekoliko zemalja s visokim prihodima da imunokompromitiranim i ostalim ugroženim skupinama ponude i booster ili treću dozu cjepiva nakon uobičajenog cijepljenja dvjema dozama. 

Cjepivo Vaxzevria indicirano je za aktivnu imunizaciju radi prevencije bolesti COVID-19 uzrokovane virusom SARS-CoV-2 kod osoba u dobi od 18 ili više godina. Ovaj se lijek dodatno prati, što omogućuje brzo otkrivanje novih sigurnosnih informacija. Od zdravstvenih radnika se traži da prijave svaku sumnju na nuspojavu na ovaj lijek. 

Imunokompromitirane osobe, a to su pacijenti s transplantiranim organima ili oni koji se liječe od raka, čine oko 2 posto populacije i bili bi glavna ciljna skupina za novu terapiju AstraZenece. Koristi od novog cjepiva mogli bi imati i pripadnici pomorskih vojnih snaga u misijama, rekao je Pangalos.

Premda je u sklopu istraživanja cijepljeno samo 12 do 13 posto dobrovoljaca, AstraZeneca će nastojati lansirati cjepivo kao nadopunu prethodnim dvjema dozama. 

No dobre vijesti o novoj terapiji zasjenilo je drugo priopćenje AstraZenece objavljeno u petak. U njemu stoji da je istraživanje liječenja rijetkoga neurološkog poremećaja, poznatog kao amiotrofična lateralna skleroza (ALS), koje je razvio AstraZenecin Alexion, prekinuto u ranoj fazi zbog izostanka učinkovitosti.

Kasna istraživačka faza studije tvrtke AstraZenece upućuje na to da nova terapija antitijelima smanjuje rizik od razvoja simptoma covida-19 među populacijom za 77 posto, što ovoj farmaceutskoj tvrtki omogućuje da ponudi zaštitu i osobama koje lošije reagiraju na cjepiva.

Tvrtka je u petak izvijestila da je 75 posto sudionika istraživanja, a riječ je o terapiji dvama tipovima antitijela koju je razvio Sveučilišni medicinski centar Vanderbilt, bolovalo od nekih kroničnih stanja, među kojima je i slabija imunosna reakcija na cjepivo. 

Slične terapije utemeljene na vrsti lijekova poznatoj pod nazivom monoklonska protutijela, koja oponašaju prirodno prisutne proteine ​​imunosnog sustava, razvijaju Regeneron, Eli Lilly i GlaxoSmithKline s partnerom Virom.

No AstraZeneca je prva objavila pozitivne rezultate istraživanja u prevenciji covida novom terapijom antitijelima.

Izvršni direktor AstraZenece, Mene Pangalos je kazao da su rezultati ispitivanja terapije proučeni i objavljeni tri mjeseca nakon ubrizgavanja antitijela te da će znanstvenici nastaviti istraživanja i u narednih 15 mjeseci, u nadi da će cjepivo moći zaštititi cijepljene i do godinu dana. 

Pangalos je rekao i da bi novi AstraZenecin lijek protiv covida-19 mogao povećati stratešku vrijednost postojećeg cjepiva Vaxzevrije, razvijenog u suradnji sa Sveučilištem u Oxfordu.

Anglošvedski proizvođač lijekova naišao je na probleme u proizvodnji tijekom uvođenja Vaxzevrije (ranijeg naziva covid-19 cjepivo AstraZeneca), a vrlo rijetki slučajevi zgrušavanja krvi iznimno su loše utjecali na potražnju za ovim cjepivom u Europi. U Sjedinjenim Državama nije ni dobilo odobrenje regulatornih tijela.

Zabrinutost zbog širenja nove delta varijante koronavirusa i smanjenja učinkovitosti cjepiva, potaknuli su nekoliko zemalja s visokim prihodima da imunokompromitiranim i ostalim ugroženim skupinama ponude i booster ili treću dozu cjepiva nakon uobičajenog cijepljenja dvjema dozama. 

Cjepivo Vaxzevria indicirano je za aktivnu imunizaciju radi prevencije bolesti COVID-19 uzrokovane virusom SARS-CoV-2 kod osoba u dobi od 18 ili više godina. Ovaj se lijek dodatno prati, što omogućuje brzo otkrivanje novih sigurnosnih informacija. Od zdravstvenih radnika se traži da prijave svaku sumnju na nuspojavu na ovaj lijek. 

Imunokompromitirane osobe, a to su pacijenti s transplantiranim organima ili oni koji se liječe od raka, čine oko 2 posto populacije i bili bi glavna ciljna skupina za novu terapiju AstraZenece. Koristi od novog cjepiva mogli bi imati i pripadnici pomorskih vojnih snaga u misijama, rekao je Pangalos.

Premda je u sklopu istraživanja cijepljeno samo 12 do 13 posto dobrovoljaca, AstraZeneca će nastojati lansirati cjepivo kao nadopunu prethodnim dvjema dozama. 

No dobre vijesti o novoj terapiji zasjenilo je drugo priopćenje AstraZenece objavljeno u petak. U njemu stoji da je istraživanje liječenja rijetkoga neurološkog poremećaja, poznatog kao amiotrofična lateralna skleroza (ALS), koje je razvio AstraZenecin Alexion, prekinuto u ranoj fazi zbog izostanka učinkovitosti.

Stiže rješenje za sve one koji loše reagiraju na cjepiva, nova terapija AstraZenece antitijelima sprječava razvoj simptoma korone

Kasna istraživačka faza studije tvrtke AstraZenece upućuje na to da nova terapija antitijelima smanjuje rizik od razvoja simptoma covida-19 među populacijom za 77 posto, što ovoj farmaceutskoj tvrtki omogućuje da ponudi zaštitu i osobama koje lošije reagiraju na cjepiva.

Tvrtka je u petak izvijestila da je 75 posto sudionika istraživanja, a riječ je o terapiji dvama tipovima antitijela koju je razvio Sveučilišni medicinski centar Vanderbilt, bolovalo od nekih kroničnih stanja, među kojima je i slabija imunosna reakcija na cjepivo. 

Slične terapije utemeljene na vrsti lijekova poznatoj pod nazivom monoklonska protutijela, koja oponašaju prirodno prisutne proteine ​​imunosnog sustava, razvijaju Regeneron, Eli Lilly i GlaxoSmithKline s partnerom Virom.
