Europski parlament je u srijedu zatražio od članova svog pododbora za obranu da provjere imaju li na svojim telefonima instaliran špijunski softver nakon što su pronađeni tragovi hakiranja na dva uređaja, piše Politico.

Članovi i osoblje pododbora za sigurnost i obranu (SEDE) prijavili su napade na telefone nametljivim softverskim alatima za nadzor, objavila je institucija u internoj e-poruci.

Svim zastupnicima u pododboru savjetovano je da odnesu svoje telefone IT službi te institucije kako bi ih provjerili na špijunski softver, navodi se u e-poruci u koju je Politico imao uvid. Europski parlament je u stanju pripravnosti zbog kibernetičkih napada i stranog uplitanja uoči izbora za EU parlament u lipnju.

Politico je u prosincu izvijestio da je interni pregled pokazao da kibernetička sigurnost institucije "još nije ispunila zadane standarde" i "nije u potpunosti u skladu s razinom prijetnje" koju predstavljaju hakeri koje sponzorira neka država, kao i druge skupine prijetnji.

Jedan član pododbora za sigurnost i obranu otišao je u utorak na rutinsku provjeru, koja je rezultirala otkrićem tragova špijunskog softvera na njihovom telefonu. Član je za Politico rekao da nije sasvim jasno zašto je na meti hakerskog softvera.

Zamjenica glasnogovornice parlamenta Delphine Colard rekla je u svojoj izjavi da su "tragovi pronađeni u dva uređaja" potaknuli e-poruku kojom se članovi pozivaju da provjere svoje telefone.

"U zadanom geopolitičkom kontekstu i s obzirom na prirodu dosjea koje prati Pododbor za sigurnost i obranu, posebna pozornost posvećena je uređajima članova ovog pododbora i osoblja koje podržava njegov rad", stoji u priopćenju.

Nova otkrića uslijedila su nakon prethodnih incidenata s drugim članovima Europskog parlamenta koji su bili napadnuti špijunskim softverom. Istraživači su 2022. godine otkrili da su telefoni članova katalonskog pokreta za neovisnost, uključujući političare iz EU-a, bili zaraženi Pegasusom i Candiruom, što su dvije vrste alata za hakiranje.

Iste godine, grčki član Europskog parlamenta i oporbeni vođa Nikos Androulakis bio je na popisu grčkih političkih i javnih osoba za koje je utvrđeno da su napadnuti Predatorom, još jednim špijunskim alatom. Predsjednica parlamenta Roberta Metsola prethodno se također suočila s pokušajem hakiranja pomoću špijunskog softvera.

Članovi Europskog parlamenta 2022. godine osnovali su poseban odbor za istraživanje tog pitanja. Istraživao je niz skandala u zemljama među kojima su Španjolska, Grčka, Mađarska i Poljska i rekao da su najmanje četiri vlade u EU-u zlorabile alate za hakiranje za političku korist.

Parlamentarna IT služba pokrenula je sustav za provjeru telefona zastupnika na špijunski softver u travnju prošle godine. Proveo je "stotine operacija" od početka programa, navodi se u priopćenju, piše Politico.

Europski parlament je u srijedu zatražio od članova svog pododbora za obranu da provjere imaju li na svojim telefonima instaliran špijunski softver nakon što su pronađeni tragovi hakiranja na dva uređaja, piše Politico.

Članovi i osoblje pododbora za sigurnost i obranu (SEDE) prijavili su napade na telefone nametljivim softverskim alatima za nadzor, objavila je institucija u internoj e-poruci.

Svim zastupnicima u pododboru savjetovano je da odnesu svoje telefone IT službi te institucije kako bi ih provjerili na špijunski softver, navodi se u e-poruci u koju je Politico imao uvid. Europski parlament je u stanju pripravnosti zbog kibernetičkih napada i stranog uplitanja uoči izbora za EU parlament u lipnju.

Politico je u prosincu izvijestio da je interni pregled pokazao da kibernetička sigurnost institucije "još nije ispunila zadane standarde" i "nije u potpunosti u skladu s razinom prijetnje" koju predstavljaju hakeri koje sponzorira neka država, kao i druge skupine prijetnji.

Jedan član pododbora za sigurnost i obranu otišao je u utorak na rutinsku provjeru, koja je rezultirala otkrićem tragova špijunskog softvera na njihovom telefonu. Član je za Politico rekao da nije sasvim jasno zašto je na meti hakerskog softvera.

Zamjenica glasnogovornice parlamenta Delphine Colard rekla je u svojoj izjavi da su "tragovi pronađeni u dva uređaja" potaknuli e-poruku kojom se članovi pozivaju da provjere svoje telefone.

"U zadanom geopolitičkom kontekstu i s obzirom na prirodu dosjea koje prati Pododbor za sigurnost i obranu, posebna pozornost posvećena je uređajima članova ovog pododbora i osoblja koje podržava njegov rad", stoji u priopćenju.

Nova otkrića uslijedila su nakon prethodnih incidenata s drugim članovima Europskog parlamenta koji su bili napadnuti špijunskim softverom. Istraživači su 2022. godine otkrili da su telefoni članova katalonskog pokreta za neovisnost, uključujući političare iz EU-a, bili zaraženi Pegasusom i Candiruom, što su dvije vrste alata za hakiranje.

Iste godine, grčki član Europskog parlamenta i oporbeni vođa Nikos Androulakis bio je na popisu grčkih političkih i javnih osoba za koje je utvrđeno da su napadnuti Predatorom, još jednim špijunskim alatom. Predsjednica parlamenta Roberta Metsola prethodno se također suočila s pokušajem hakiranja pomoću špijunskog softvera.

Članovi Europskog parlamenta 2022. godine osnovali su poseban odbor za istraživanje tog pitanja. Istraživao je niz skandala u zemljama među kojima su Španjolska, Grčka, Mađarska i Poljska i rekao da su najmanje četiri vlade u EU-u zlorabile alate za hakiranje za političku korist.

Parlamentarna IT služba pokrenula je sustav za provjeru telefona zastupnika na špijunski softver u travnju prošle godine. Proveo je "stotine operacija" od početka programa, navodi se u priopćenju, piše Politico.

Europski parlament je u srijedu zatražio od članova svog pododbora za obranu da provjere imaju li na svojim telefonima instaliran špijunski softver nakon što su pronađeni tragovi hakiranja na dva uređaja, piše Politico.

Članovi i osoblje pododbora za sigurnost i obranu (SEDE) prijavili su napade na telefone nametljivim softverskim alatima za nadzor, objavila je institucija u internoj e-poruci.

Svim zastupnicima u pododboru savjetovano je da odnesu svoje telefone IT službi te institucije kako bi ih provjerili na špijunski softver, navodi se u e-poruci u koju je Politico imao uvid.
