Milijunaši koji poklanjaju dio svog bogatstva nisu česta vijest, ali kad 13 milijuna dolara neposredno prije smrti razdijeli čovjek koji je bio poznat kao notorni škrtac, stvar poprima neobične dimenzije.

Naime, Terry Khan, milijunaš iz Indianapolisa, odlučio je posthumno donirati svoju imovinu, izvijestio je Washington Post.

Prije smrti 31. siječnja 2021. Khan je odredio da će njegovo bogatstvo biti donirano raznim dobrotvornim organizacijama. Posljednje dvije godine izvršitelji njegove ostavštine radili su na distribuciji tog novca.

Khan je prije smrti stupio u kontakt s odvjetnikom Dwayneom Isaacsom koji sad zastupa njegovu imovinu. Isaacs se putem e-mailova javio organizacijama iz Indianapolisa. Tijekom dvije godine, 13 milijuna dolara podijeljeno je podupirući desetak neprofitnih organizacija.

Bez mobitela

Oni koji su poznavali Khana bili su iznenađeni kad su shvatili koliko novca ima u rukama. Veći dio radnog vijeka Khan je bio zaposlen u istom medicinskom centru za veterane iz kojeg je 2003. otišao u mirovinu kao šef ljudskih resursa, piše Washington Post, prenosi Jutarnji.

Živio je u istoj kući više od 20 godina (koja je nakon njegove smrti prodana za samo 200.000 dolara) i nikad nije imao mobitel. Dodatno, on je bio "najštedljiviji čovjek kojeg sam upoznao‘‘, rekao je Isaacs.

Isaacs, koji je Khana upoznao 90-ih, na kraju je dobio zadatak da izvrši oporuku multimilijunaša, zajedno s Khanovim bivšim suradnikom i prijateljem Vanceom McLarrenom.

Njegovo imanje vrijedilo je tad 3 do 4 milijuna dolara, a prije smrti vrijednost je narasla na više od 13 milijuna dolara.

Khan nije precizirao koje bi dobrotvorne grupe trebale dobiti ovaj novac.

Tijekom protekle dvije godine Isaacs i McLarren istraživali su kako raspodijeliti sredstva. Odlučili su dati donacije od milijun dolara organizacijama kojima bi novac bio ‘‘transformativan‘‘ u skladu s Khanovim interesima.

Među njima se našla podrška pružateljima besplatnog školskog pribora, Teaches Treasures, neprofitna organizacija koja se bavila smještajem veterana rata, skloništa za žrtve obiteljskog nasilja i ostale organizacije koje su vezane uz zdravstvo sport i djecu.

Milijunaši koji poklanjaju dio svog bogatstva nisu česta vijest, ali kad 13 milijuna dolara neposredno prije smrti razdijeli čovjek koji je bio poznat kao notorni škrtac, stvar poprima neobične dimenzije.

Naime, Terry Khan, milijunaš iz Indianapolisa, odlučio je posthumno donirati svoju imovinu, izvijestio je Washington Post.

Prije smrti 31. siječnja 2021. Khan je odredio da će njegovo bogatstvo biti donirano raznim dobrotvornim organizacijama. Posljednje dvije godine izvršitelji njegove ostavštine radili su na distribuciji tog novca.

Khan je prije smrti stupio u kontakt s odvjetnikom Dwayneom Isaacsom koji sad zastupa njegovu imovinu. Isaacs se putem e-mailova javio organizacijama iz Indianapolisa. Tijekom dvije godine, 13 milijuna dolara podijeljeno je podupirući desetak neprofitnih organizacija.

Bez mobitela

Oni koji su poznavali Khana bili su iznenađeni kad su shvatili koliko novca ima u rukama. Veći dio radnog vijeka Khan je bio zaposlen u istom medicinskom centru za veterane iz kojeg je 2003. otišao u mirovinu kao šef ljudskih resursa, piše Washington Post, prenosi Jutarnji.

Živio je u istoj kući više od 20 godina (koja je nakon njegove smrti prodana za samo 200.000 dolara) i nikad nije imao mobitel. Dodatno, on je bio "najštedljiviji čovjek kojeg sam upoznao‘‘, rekao je Isaacs.

Isaacs, koji je Khana upoznao 90-ih, na kraju je dobio zadatak da izvrši oporuku multimilijunaša, zajedno s Khanovim bivšim suradnikom i prijateljem Vanceom McLarrenom.

Njegovo imanje vrijedilo je tad 3 do 4 milijuna dolara, a prije smrti vrijednost je narasla na više od 13 milijuna dolara.

Khan nije precizirao koje bi dobrotvorne grupe trebale dobiti ovaj novac.

Tijekom protekle dvije godine Isaacs i McLarren istraživali su kako raspodijeliti sredstva. Odlučili su dati donacije od milijun dolara organizacijama kojima bi novac bio ‘‘transformativan‘‘ u skladu s Khanovim interesima.

Među njima se našla podrška pružateljima besplatnog školskog pribora, Teaches Treasures, neprofitna organizacija koja se bavila smještajem veterana rata, skloništa za žrtve obiteljskog nasilja i ostale organizacije koje su vezane uz zdravstvo sport i djecu.

Škrtac na računu imao puste milijune, nitko nije znao, klupko se počelo odmotavati nakon njegove smrti, sve je donirao

Milijunaši koji poklanjaju dio svog bogatstva nisu česta vijest, ali kad 13 milijuna dolara neposredno prije smrti razdijeli čovjek koji je bio poznat kao notorni škrtac, stvar poprima neobične dimenzije.

Naime, Terry Khan, milijunaš iz Indianapolisa, odlučio je posthumno donirati svoju imovinu, izvijestio je Washington Post.

Prije smrti 31. siječnja 2021. Khan je odredio da će njegovo bogatstvo biti donirano raznim dobrotvornim organizacijama. Posljednje dvije godine izvršitelji njegove ostavštine radili su na distribuciji tog novca.

Khan je prije smrti stupio u kontakt s odvjetnikom Dwayneom Isaacsom koji sad zastupa njegovu imovinu. Isaacs se putem e-mailova javio organizacijama iz Indianapolisa. Tijekom dvije godine, 13 milijuna dolara podijeljeno je podupirući desetak neprofitnih organizacija.

Bez mobitela

Oni koji su poznavali Khana bili su iznenađeni kad su shvatili koliko novca ima u rukama. Veći dio radnog vijeka Khan je bio zaposlen u istom medicinskom centru za veterane iz kojeg je 2003. otišao u mirovinu kao šef ljudskih resursa, piše Washington Post, prenosi Jutarnji.

Živio je u istoj kući više od 20 godina (koja je nakon njegove smrti prodana za samo 200.000 dolara) i nikad nije imao mobitel. Dodatno, on je bio "najštedljiviji čovjek kojeg sam upoznao‘‘, rekao je Isaacs.

Isaacs, koji je Khana upoznao 90-ih, na kraju je dobio zadatak da izvrši oporuku multimilijunaša, zajedno s Khanovim bivšim suradnikom i prijateljem Vanceom McLarrenom.

Njegovo imanje vrijedilo je tad 3 do 4 milijuna dolara, a prije smrti vrijednost je narasla na više od 13 milijuna dolara.

Khan nije precizirao koje bi dobrotvorne grupe trebale dobiti ovaj novac.

Tijekom protekle dvije godine Isaacs i McLarren istraživali su kako raspodijeliti sredstva. Odlučili su dati donacije od milijun dolara organizacijama kojima bi novac bio ‘‘transformativan‘‘ u skladu s Khanovim interesima.

Među njima se našla podrška pružateljima besplatnog školskog pribora, Teaches Treasures, neprofitna organizacija koja se bavila smještajem veterana rata, skloništa za žrtve obiteljskog nasilja i ostale organizacije koje su vezane uz zdravstvo sport i djecu.
