Šef češke diplomacije Karel Schwarzenberg, čija zemlja trenutno predsjedava Europskom unijom, založio se za prijam Albanije i Srbije u Europsku uniju, u razgovoru vođenom u subotu na njemačkom radiju.

- Od trenutka kad granice više nisu kakve su bile, snažan nacionalizam na tim prostorima gubi potporu - rekao je Schwarzenberg na radiju DeutschlandKultur.

Po njemu, nema potrebe da Lisabonski ugovor stupi na snagu kako bi došlo do širenja Unije na te dvije zemlje, suprotno onome što tvrdi Njemačka.

No, "prihvaćam i ovakvo stanje", kazao je on.

- Sljedeće širenje imat ćemo tek nakon konačne ratifikacije Lisabonskog ugovora. Potpuno sam svjestan da je to politička realnost - kazao je Schwarzenberg.

Albanija i Srbija namjeravaju podnijeti kandidature za članstvo u EU, dok se neki glasovi u Europi, posebice Njemačkoj, zalažu za pauzu u širenju Unije nakon prijama Hrvatske, navodi AFP.

Šef češke diplomacije Karel Schwarzenberg, čija zemlja trenutno predsjedava Europskom unijom, založio se za prijam Albanije i Srbije u Europsku uniju, u razgovoru vođenom u subotu na njemačkom radiju.

- Od trenutka kad granice više nisu kakve su bile, snažan nacionalizam na tim prostorima gubi potporu - rekao je Schwarzenberg na radiju DeutschlandKultur.

Po njemu, nema potrebe da Lisabonski ugovor stupi na snagu kako bi došlo do širenja Unije na te dvije zemlje, suprotno onome što tvrdi Njemačka.

No, "prihvaćam i ovakvo stanje", kazao je on.

- Sljedeće širenje imat ćemo tek nakon konačne ratifikacije Lisabonskog ugovora. Potpuno sam svjestan da je to politička realnost - kazao je Schwarzenberg.

Albanija i Srbija namjeravaju podnijeti kandidature za članstvo u EU, dok se neki glasovi u Europi, posebice Njemačkoj, zalažu za pauzu u širenju Unije nakon prijama Hrvatske, navodi AFP.
