Troje ljudi poginulo je u petak u snažnoj eksploziji na benzinskoj postaji u okrugu Donegal u Irskoj, priopćila je irska policija, dok su spasioci tijekom noći tražili preživjele.

Zastupnik Sinn Feina Pearse Doherty rekao je na licu mjesta da je to bila "razorna eksplozija" na "vrlo prometnoj lokaciji". Policija nije govorila o uzroku eksplozije u priopćenju objavljenom kasno u petak, te je rekla kako još ne može dati dodatne informacije o žrtvama.

Ozlijeđeni su prebačeni u Sveučilišnu bolnicu Letterkenny, koja je priopćila da je pokrenula hitni protokol i da tretira brojne ozlijeđene osobe nakon incidenta.

Eksplozija se dogodila u petak poslijepodne u servisnoj postaji Applegreen na periferiji sela Creeslough, koje je udaljeno oko 25 kilometara od grada Letterkennyja.

Fotografije s mjesta događaja pokazuju stambenu jedinicu iznad benzinske postaje s raznesenim zidovima i djelomično srušenim krovom, te krhotinama razbacanim po parkiralištu gdje se nalazilo nekoliko automobila.

Irska obalna straža rekla je da je njen obližnji helikopter pomogao hitnim službama i da je specijalistički spasilački tim poslan na mjesto događaja iz obližnje Sjeverne Irske.

Doherty je rekao da se "masivna eksplozija" čula kilometrima uokolo i da su satima kasnije ljudi još uvijek bili zarobljeni u zgradi, a neki su kontaktirali hitnu pomoć izvana.

Rekao je da se u sklopu benzinske postaje nalazi jedina trgovina u selu, a u njoj su također smješteni pošta i frizerski saloni.

"Svi se nadaju najboljem, ali ovo je razorna eksplozija, pogodila je ovu zgradu i ovo je bila vrlo prometna lokacija u tom trenutku", rekao je nacionalnoj televiziji RTE s mjesta događaja.

Troje ljudi poginulo je u petak u snažnoj eksploziji na benzinskoj postaji u okrugu Donegal u Irskoj, priopćila je irska policija, dok su spasioci tijekom noći tražili preživjele.

Zastupnik Sinn Feina Pearse Doherty rekao je na licu mjesta da je to bila "razorna eksplozija" na "vrlo prometnoj lokaciji". Policija nije govorila o uzroku eksplozije u priopćenju objavljenom kasno u petak, te je rekla kako još ne može dati dodatne informacije o žrtvama.

Ozlijeđeni su prebačeni u Sveučilišnu bolnicu Letterkenny, koja je priopćila da je pokrenula hitni protokol i da tretira brojne ozlijeđene osobe nakon incidenta.

Eksplozija se dogodila u petak poslijepodne u servisnoj postaji Applegreen na periferiji sela Creeslough, koje je udaljeno oko 25 kilometara od grada Letterkennyja.

Fotografije s mjesta događaja pokazuju stambenu jedinicu iznad benzinske postaje s raznesenim zidovima i djelomično srušenim krovom, te krhotinama razbacanim po parkiralištu gdje se nalazilo nekoliko automobila.

Irska obalna straža rekla je da je njen obližnji helikopter pomogao hitnim službama i da je specijalistički spasilački tim poslan na mjesto događaja iz obližnje Sjeverne Irske.

Doherty je rekao da se "masivna eksplozija" čula kilometrima uokolo i da su satima kasnije ljudi još uvijek bili zarobljeni u zgradi, a neki su kontaktirali hitnu pomoć izvana.

Rekao je da se u sklopu benzinske postaje nalazi jedina trgovina u selu, a u njoj su također smješteni pošta i frizerski saloni.

"Svi se nadaju najboljem, ali ovo je razorna eksplozija, pogodila je ovu zgradu i ovo je bila vrlo prometna lokacija u tom trenutku", rekao je nacionalnoj televiziji RTE s mjesta događaja.

Troje ljudi poginulo je u petak u snažnoj eksploziji na benzinskoj postaji u okrugu Donegal u Irskoj, priopćila je irska policija, dok su spasioci tijekom noći tražili preživjele.

Zastupnik Sinn Feina Pearse Doherty rekao je na licu mjesta da je to bila "razorna eksplozija" na "vrlo prometnoj lokaciji". Policija nije govorila o uzroku eksplozije u priopćenju objavljenom kasno u petak, te je rekla kako još ne može dati dodatne informacije o žrtvama.

Ozlijeđeni su prebačeni u Sveučilišnu bolnicu Letterkenny, koja je priopćila da je pokrenula hitni protokol i da tretira brojne ozlijeđene osobe nakon incidenta.

Eksplozija se dogodila u petak poslijepodne u servisnoj postaji Applegreen na periferiji sela Creeslough, koje je udaljeno oko 25 kilometara od grada Letterkennyja.
