Ruske snage odnijele su kosti Grigorija Potemkina, princa iz 18. stoljeća, iz groba u Hersonu, piše Telegraph. Učinili su to, kako tvrde, da bi "zaštitili ostatke jednog od svojih nacionalnih heroja".
Za taj zadatak odabran je poseban tim, te zatim poslan u veličanstvenu katedralu Svete Katarine gdje su bile pohranjene kosti Potemkina, dugogodišnjeg ljubavnika Katarine Velike, koji ju je i nagovorio da pripoji Krim 1783. godine.
Vladimir Putin još u veljači, nakon napada na Ukrajinu, spomenuo je Potemkina. - On je bio taj koji je vodio kolonizaciju južne Ukrajine, utemeljio je Herson i Odesu dok je pomicao granice ruskog carstva na zapad sve do Crnog mora - kazao je tada ruski predsjednik.
Vladimir Saldo, šef regije Herson kojeg je imenovala Rusija, rekao je da su kosti princa uklonjene zbog sigurnosnih razloga.
- Odnijeli smo ostatke princa iz katedrale Svete Katarine na lijevu obalu. Kada dođe vrijeme vratit ćemo njega i sve relikvije tamo gdje pripadaju - kazao je Saldo, a prenosi Jutarnji list.
Potemkinovi posmrtni ostaci dosad su bili čuvani u maloj crnoj vrećici unutar lijesa, a kosti su pažljivo numerirane. Valja spomenuti i kako su snimke iz Hersona tijekom vikenda pokazale kako nekoliko statua više nisu na svojim postoljima u središtu grada, uključujući i spomenik Potemkinu podignut 2003. godine.
Kirill Stremousov, još jedan dužnosnik kojeg je imenovala Rusija, inzistira na tome da ne postoji neposredna prijetnja kopnene invazije na Herson.
- Spašavamo baštinu, ne od ulaska nacista u grad, već od granatiranja koje je u posljednje vrijeme postalo kaotično - kazao je.
Telegraph upozorava kako povjesničar Simon Sebag Montefiore ne pristaje na takav ruski narativ i poručio da bi Potemkin “prezirao Putinov primitivni, okrutni nacionalizam”.
Istovremeno, dok ukrajinske snage napreduju u regiji Herson stotine civila već su poslane preko rijeke Dnjepar. Volodimir Zelenski, ukrajinski predsjednik, rekao je da Kijev ne vjeruje izvješćima da se ruske snage, za razliku od stanovnika, spremaju povući iz Hersona.
- Ne vidim baš da Rusi bježe iz Hersona. Ovo je prevara. Nisam slobodan otkriti sve informacije, ali ovo je varka koja bi nas trebala natjerati da premjestimo naše trupe s drugih žarišta ovamo - rekao je za talijanske novine Corriere Della Sera. U srijedu je pak ukrajinski Channel 24 citirao neimenovane ukrajinske obavještajne službe koji su rekli da su
Rusi posljednjih dana prisilno premjestili najmanje 2000 ljudi na Krim koji je pod njihovom okupacijom.
Neimenovani ukrajinski dužnosnik opisao je evakuaciju kao otmicu, rekavši da su mnogi od evakuiranih djeca koja su silom odvedena iz svojih obitelji.

Ruske snage odnijele su kosti Grigorija Potemkina, princa iz 18. stoljeća, iz groba u Hersonu, piše Telegraph. Učinili su to, kako tvrde, da bi "zaštitili ostatke jednog od svojih nacionalnih heroja".
Za taj zadatak odabran je poseban tim, te zatim poslan u veličanstvenu katedralu Svete Katarine gdje su bile pohranjene kosti Potemkina, dugogodišnjeg ljubavnika Katarine Velike, koji ju je i nagovorio da pripoji Krim 1783. godine.
Vladimir Putin još u veljači, nakon napada na Ukrajinu, spomenuo je Potemkina. - On je bio taj koji je vodio kolonizaciju južne Ukrajine, utemeljio je Herson i Odesu dok je pomicao granice ruskog carstva na zapad sve do Crnog mora - kazao je tada ruski predsjednik.
Vladimir Saldo, šef regije Herson kojeg je imenovala Rusija, rekao je da su kosti princa uklonjene zbog sigurnosnih razloga.
- Odnijeli smo ostatke princa iz katedrale Svete Katarine na lijevu obalu. Kada dođe vrijeme vratit ćemo njega i sve relikvije tamo gdje pripadaju - kazao je Saldo, a prenosi Jutarnji list.
Potemkinovi posmrtni ostaci dosad su bili čuvani u maloj crnoj vrećici unutar lijesa, a kosti su pažljivo numerirane. Valja spomenuti i kako su snimke iz Hersona tijekom vikenda pokazale kako nekoliko statua više nisu na svojim postoljima u središtu grada, uključujući i spomenik Potemkinu podignut 2003. godine.
Kirill Stremousov, još jedan dužnosnik kojeg je imenovala Rusija, inzistira na tome da ne postoji neposredna prijetnja kopnene invazije na Herson.
- Spašavamo baštinu, ne od ulaska nacista u grad, već od granatiranja koje je u posljednje vrijeme postalo kaotično - kazao je.
Telegraph upozorava kako povjesničar Simon Sebag Montefiore ne pristaje na takav ruski narativ i poručio da bi Potemkin “prezirao Putinov primitivni, okrutni nacionalizam”.
Istovremeno, dok ukrajinske snage napreduju u regiji Herson stotine civila već su poslane preko rijeke Dnjepar. Volodimir Zelenski, ukrajinski predsjednik, rekao je da Kijev ne vjeruje izvješćima da se ruske snage, za razliku od stanovnika, spremaju povući iz Hersona.
- Ne vidim baš da Rusi bježe iz Hersona. Ovo je prevara. Nisam slobodan otkriti sve informacije, ali ovo je varka koja bi nas trebala natjerati da premjestimo naše trupe s drugih žarišta ovamo - rekao je za talijanske novine Corriere Della Sera. U srijedu je pak ukrajinski Channel 24 citirao neimenovane ukrajinske obavještajne službe koji su rekli da su
Rusi posljednjih dana prisilno premjestili najmanje 2000 ljudi na Krim koji je pod njihovom okupacijom.
Neimenovani ukrajinski dužnosnik opisao je evakuaciju kao otmicu, rekavši da su mnogi od evakuiranih djeca koja su silom odvedena iz svojih obitelji.
