Najmanje 43 osobe poginule su u zračnom napadu na tržnicu u gradu Togoga u etiopskoj regiji Tigray, izjavio je za Reuters etiopski zdravstveni dužnosnik, nakon što su posljednjih dana stanovnici svjedočili o novim sukobima sjeverno od regionalne prijestolnice Mekelle.

Etiopski vojni glasnogovornik Getnet Adane nije ni potvrdio niti zanijekao incident. Po njegovim riječima zračni napadi su uobičajena vojna taktika, a vladine snage nemaju, tvrdi, za cilj civile.

Bomba je pala na tržnicu oko 13 sati, kazala je žena čiji su suprug i dvogodišnja kćer ranjeni. 

"Nismo vidjeli avion, ali smo ga čuli", rekla je svjedokinja za Reuters. "Kad je došlo do eksplozije, svi smo se razbježali. Nakon nekog vremena vratili smo se pokupiti ranjene".

Po njenim riječima, tržnica je bila puna obitelji, a nije nigdje vidjela naoružane ljude. "Bilo je puno poginulih", kazala je.

Reuters nije mogao potvrditi broj poginulih kod neovisnih izvora, a svjedokinja i drugi izvori nisu otkrili identitet u strahu od odmazde.

Medicinski dužnosnik potvrdio je, pozivajući se na svjedoke, da su 43 osobe poginule.

Glasnogovornik premijera Abiy Ahmed i čelnik vladinih snaga u Tigray nisu odgovorili na zahtjev za komentarom o incidentu.

Visoki dužnosnik UN-a za humanitarne poslove Ramesh Rajasingham kazao je u srijedu da je "uznemiren izvješćima o bombardiranju u kojem su ubijeni i ranjeni civili na tržnici u Togogi" te je upozorio da se sve strane u sukobu moraju držati međunarodnog humanitarnog prava.

On je pozvao etiopske vlasti na istragu ovog napada.

Najmanje 43 osobe poginule su u zračnom napadu na tržnicu u gradu Togoga u etiopskoj regiji Tigray, izjavio je za Reuters etiopski zdravstveni dužnosnik, nakon što su posljednjih dana stanovnici svjedočili o novim sukobima sjeverno od regionalne prijestolnice Mekelle.

Etiopski vojni glasnogovornik Getnet Adane nije ni potvrdio niti zanijekao incident. Po njegovim riječima zračni napadi su uobičajena vojna taktika, a vladine snage nemaju, tvrdi, za cilj civile.

Bomba je pala na tržnicu oko 13 sati, kazala je žena čiji su suprug i dvogodišnja kćer ranjeni. 

"Nismo vidjeli avion, ali smo ga čuli", rekla je svjedokinja za Reuters. "Kad je došlo do eksplozije, svi smo se razbježali. Nakon nekog vremena vratili smo se pokupiti ranjene".

Po njenim riječima, tržnica je bila puna obitelji, a nije nigdje vidjela naoružane ljude. "Bilo je puno poginulih", kazala je.

Reuters nije mogao potvrditi broj poginulih kod neovisnih izvora, a svjedokinja i drugi izvori nisu otkrili identitet u strahu od odmazde.

Medicinski dužnosnik potvrdio je, pozivajući se na svjedoke, da su 43 osobe poginule.

Glasnogovornik premijera Abiy Ahmed i čelnik vladinih snaga u Tigray nisu odgovorili na zahtjev za komentarom o incidentu.

Visoki dužnosnik UN-a za humanitarne poslove Ramesh Rajasingham kazao je u srijedu da je "uznemiren izvješćima o bombardiranju u kojem su ubijeni i ranjeni civili na tržnici u Togogi" te je upozorio da se sve strane u sukobu moraju držati međunarodnog humanitarnog prava.

On je pozvao etiopske vlasti na istragu ovog napada.
