Petero penjača poginulo je na Elbrusu, najvišoj planini u Europi, nakon što se vrijeme iznenada promijenilo i pretvorilo u ledenu snježnu oluju, potvrdili su u petak dužnosnici.
Elbrus, na sjevernom Kavkazu u Rusiji, s 5642 metra najviša je planina u Europi.
Ostalih 14 članova komercijalne ekspedicije spašeno je s vršnih dijelova Elbrusa po olujnom vjetru i velikim snježnim oborinama, s temperaturom od minus 20 Celzijevih stupnjeva, priopćila je regionalna služba za izvanredna stanja.

Skupina ruskih penjača uputila je poziv za pomoć u četvrtak nešto poslije 17 sati. Od 14 spašenih, njih 11 je prevezeno u bolnicu.
Gorski spasioci su 14 penjača spustili u dolinu Azau. Spašavanje je izvedeno "u najtežim mogućim uvjetima", objavila je gorska služba spašavanja. Nesreća se dogodila na nešto više od 5000 metara nadmorske visine.
Pod samim vrhom, jedna se planinarka počela osjećati vrlo loše, vodič ju je okrenuo natrag, no umrla je na njegovim rukama.

Jedan član skupine je potom slomio nogu pa ga se nosilo niz planinu te je izgubljeno puno vremena, rekao je Denis Alimov, organizator pohoda na Elbrus.
– Vrijeme se katastrofalno pogoršalo, odlučili su se razdvojiti u tri grupe, na brže i sporije članove – objasnio je Alimov za agenciju TASS, dodavši da se potom na silasku smrznulo još dvoje ljudi, a dvije su osobe izgubile svijest i također umrle.
– No odluka da se razdvoje bila je dobra, inače je moglo biti još više žrtava – kazao je.
Vodiči su pretrpjeli ozebline i druge ozljede, rekao je 48-godišnji Alimov.

Denis Alimov vlasnik je agencije "Elbrus.Guide" koja organizira pohode na visoke planine za klijente koji nisu dovoljno vješti za samostalne uspone. On i njegovi vodiči iskusni su alpinisti, s iskustvom na Himalaji, uključujući i uspone na Mt. Everest.
Godine 1974., u pokušaju da na Kavkazu osvoje Ušbu, u velikoj ledenoj lavini poginuli su članovi tadašnje jugoslavenske ekspedicije, Kaštelanin Ante Bedalov, Zagrepčani Urso Vrdoljak i Viktor Tabaković te Splićanin Nenad Čulić.
Čekalo se do 2018. da se na vrh 4697 metara visoke Sjeverne Ušbe popnu alpinisti zagrebačkog Alpinističkog odsjeka PD-a "Željezničar" –Rene Lisac, Bernard Bregar, Tomislav Lopandić i Goran Kelečić.
Najveća tragedija s komercijalnim ekspedicijama dogodila se u svibnju 1996. na Mt. Everestu. Poginulo je 12 ljudi, uključujući vođe dviju tadašnjih najprestižnijih agencija koje pružaju usluge vođenja – Roba Halla iz "Adventure Consultantsa" i Scotta Fischera iz "Mountain Madnessa".

Zbog želje klijenata da dosegnu vrh, vodiči, većinom šerpe, neke su morali vući, pa čak i nositi. O tome su napisane brojne knjige i snimljen film, no ostalo je zagonetka zašto vodiči klijente nisu okrenuli natrag, nakon što u dogovoreno vrijeme nisu stigli na 8848 visoki vrh.
Zbog kašnjenja i sporosti nisu uspjeli izbjeći strahovitu oluju i spustiti se u niže logore.

Ostalih 14 članova komercijalne ekspedicije spašeno je s vršnih dijelova Elbrusa po olujnom vjetru i velikim snježnim oborinama, s temperaturom od minus 20 Celzijevih stupnjeva, priopćila je regionalna služba za izvanredna stanja.

Skupina ruskih penjača uputila je poziv za pomoć u četvrtak nešto poslije 17 sati. Od 14 spašenih, njih 11 je prevezeno u bolnicu.
Gorski spasioci su 14 penjača spustili u dolinu Azau. Spašavanje je izvedeno "u najtežim mogućim uvjetima", objavila je gorska služba spašavanja. Nesreća se dogodila na nešto više od 5000 metara nadmorske visine.
Pod samim vrhom, jedna se planinarka počela osjećati vrlo loše, vodič ju je okrenuo natrag, no umrla je na njegovim rukama.

Jedan član skupine je potom slomio nogu pa ga se nosilo niz planinu te je izgubljeno puno vremena, rekao je Denis Alimov, organizator pohoda na Elbrus.
– Vrijeme se katastrofalno pogoršalo, odlučili su se razdvojiti u tri grupe, na brže i sporije članove – objasnio je Alimov za agenciju TASS, dodavši da se potom na silasku smrznulo još dvoje ljudi, a dvije su osobe izgubile svijest i također umrle.
– No odluka da se razdvoje bila je dobra, inače je moglo biti još više žrtava – kazao je.
Vodiči su pretrpjeli ozebline i druge ozljede, rekao je 48-godišnji Alimov.

Denis Alimov vlasnik je agencije "Elbrus.Guide" koja organizira pohode na visoke planine za klijente koji nisu dovoljno vješti za samostalne uspone. On i njegovi vodiči iskusni su alpinisti, s iskustvom na Himalaji, uključujući i uspone na Mt. Everest.
Godine 1974., u pokušaju da na Kavkazu osvoje Ušbu, u velikoj ledenoj lavini poginuli su članovi tadašnje jugoslavenske ekspedicije, Kaštelanin Ante Bedalov, Zagrepčani Urso Vrdoljak i Viktor Tabaković te Splićanin Nenad Čulić.
Čekalo se do 2018. da se na vrh 4697 metara visoke Sjeverne Ušbe popnu alpinisti zagrebačkog Alpinističkog odsjeka PD-a "Željezničar" –Rene Lisac, Bernard Bregar, Tomislav Lopandić i Goran Kelečić.
Najveća tragedija s komercijalnim ekspedicijama dogodila se u svibnju 1996. na Mt. Everestu. Poginulo je 12 ljudi, uključujući vođe dviju tadašnjih najprestižnijih agencija koje pružaju usluge vođenja – Roba Halla iz "Adventure Consultantsa" i Scotta Fischera iz "Mountain Madnessa".

Zbog želje klijenata da dosegnu vrh, vodiči, većinom šerpe, neke su morali vući, pa čak i nositi. O tome su napisane brojne knjige i snimljen film, no ostalo je zagonetka zašto vodiči klijente nisu okrenuli natrag, nakon što u dogovoreno vrijeme nisu stigli na 8848 visoki vrh.
Zbog kašnjenja i sporosti nisu uspjeli izbjeći strahovitu oluju i spustiti se u niže logore.
