Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a u nedjelju se okupilo na trećoj hitnoj sjednici o izraelsko-palestinskom sukobu u tjedan dana, ali bez uspjeha u usuglašavanju zajedničke deklaracije i prijedloga koji bi brzo vodili okončanju nasilja.

Virtualna sjednica bila je poprište međusobnih optuživanja Palestinaca i Izraelaca. 

Usporedno sa sjednicom, 15 članica Vijeća sigurnosti nastavilo je pregovarati o zajedničkoj deklaraciji kojom bi pozvale na prekid neprijateljstva i potvrdile predanost rješenju o dvije države koje bi postojale jedna pored druge, IzraeIa i Palestine na temelju prethodnih rezolucija UN-a.

Međutim, više diplomata koje je kontaktirala agencija AFP, kazalo je da Sjedinjene Države ustraju u odbijanju bilo kakve zajedničke deklaracije, a takvo stajalište nerazumljivo je brojnim saveznicima. 

U tjedan dana Washington je sam u dva navrata odbacio dvije izjave koje su predložile tri članice Vijeća sigurnosti: Kina, Norveška i Tunis.

"Bezumni ciklus terora"

"To je pomalo čudno kad pomislimo na očekivanja koja smo svi imali otkako su se Amerikanci vratili multilateralnoj diplomaciji", rekao je jedan veleposlanik za AFP pod uvjetom da ostane neimenovan.

"Mislili smo da Sjedinjene Države žele pokazati relevantnost u Vijeću sigurnosti u situacijama kakva je ova", rekao je.

Kineski diplomat Wang Yi izrazio je žaljenje zbog američke "opstrukcije" u postupku prihvaćanja deklaracije. 

"Vijeće sigurnosti mora poduzeti mjere" i zbog "opstrukcije jedne države", Vijeće "nije kadro govoriti jednim glasom", rekao je Wang Yi te pozvao Washington "da preuzme odgovornost" u UN-u.

Današnja sjednica Vijeća sigurnosti bila je javna, a prethodne su održane iza zatvorenih vrata. SAD se protivio današnjoj sjednici i tražio je da se odgodi do utorka.

Američka veleposlanica pri UN-u Linda Thomas-Greenfield na sjednici je pozvala na "prestanak ciklusa nasilja " i ustvrdila da SAD "neumorno  radi" kako bi pokušao zaustaviti ovaj sukob da se  postigne "održivi mir".

Otvarajući sjednicu, glavni tajnik UN-a Antonio Guterres upozorio je Vijeće sigurnosti na rizik od izbijanja "nekontrolirane sigurnosne i humanitarne krize" u regiji ako se brzo ne postigne prekid vatre.

Taj "bezumni ciklus prolijevanja krvi, terora i uništavanja mora odmah prestati", rekao je Guterres.

Takve su pozive uglavnom ponavljali i drugi veleposlanici u izlaganjima u nedjelju od Rusije do Tunisa, Norveške ili Irske, piše agencija AFP.

Predstavnik Nigera u Vijeću sigurnosti zatražio je da se "Palestincima priznao jednako pravo" koje se priznaje Izraelu - pravo na "samoobranu".

Od ponedjeljka palestinske oružane skupine predvođene Hamasom ispalile su više od 3000 raketa iz pojasa Gaze na izraelski teritorij, a najveći dio njih pao je na Gazu ili ga je presreo izraelski proturaketni štit "Željezna kupola".

Izrael je objavio da je poginulo 10 njegovih građana, uključujući dvoje djece.

U izraelskim napadima na ciljeve Hamasa i oružanih skupina u gusto naseljenoj Gazi poginulo je najmanje 192 Palestinaca, od kojih 58 djece.

Hamas je počeo raketirati Izrael u ponedjeljak, nakon višetjednih tenzija zbog odluke suda o deložiranju nekoliko palestinskih obitelji u Istočnom Jeruzalemu i sukoba policije s Palestincima blizu džamije Al Aksa, koja je treće najsvetije mjesto za muslimane.

Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a u nedjelju se okupilo na trećoj hitnoj sjednici o izraelsko-palestinskom sukobu u tjedan dana, ali bez uspjeha u usuglašavanju zajedničke deklaracije i prijedloga koji bi brzo vodili okončanju nasilja.

Virtualna sjednica bila je poprište međusobnih optuživanja Palestinaca i Izraelaca. 

Usporedno sa sjednicom, 15 članica Vijeća sigurnosti nastavilo je pregovarati o zajedničkoj deklaraciji kojom bi pozvale na prekid neprijateljstva i potvrdile predanost rješenju o dvije države koje bi postojale jedna pored druge, IzraeIa i Palestine na temelju prethodnih rezolucija UN-a.

Međutim, više diplomata koje je kontaktirala agencija AFP, kazalo je da Sjedinjene Države ustraju u odbijanju bilo kakve zajedničke deklaracije, a takvo stajalište nerazumljivo je brojnim saveznicima. 

U tjedan dana Washington je sam u dva navrata odbacio dvije izjave koje su predložile tri članice Vijeća sigurnosti: Kina, Norveška i Tunis.

"Bezumni ciklus terora"

"To je pomalo čudno kad pomislimo na očekivanja koja smo svi imali otkako su se Amerikanci vratili multilateralnoj diplomaciji", rekao je jedan veleposlanik za AFP pod uvjetom da ostane neimenovan.

"Mislili smo da Sjedinjene Države žele pokazati relevantnost u Vijeću sigurnosti u situacijama kakva je ova", rekao je.

Kineski diplomat Wang Yi izrazio je žaljenje zbog američke "opstrukcije" u postupku prihvaćanja deklaracije. 

"Vijeće sigurnosti mora poduzeti mjere" i zbog "opstrukcije jedne države", Vijeće "nije kadro govoriti jednim glasom", rekao je Wang Yi te pozvao Washington "da preuzme odgovornost" u UN-u.

Današnja sjednica Vijeća sigurnosti bila je javna, a prethodne su održane iza zatvorenih vrata. SAD se protivio današnjoj sjednici i tražio je da se odgodi do utorka.

Američka veleposlanica pri UN-u Linda Thomas-Greenfield na sjednici je pozvala na "prestanak ciklusa nasilja " i ustvrdila da SAD "neumorno  radi" kako bi pokušao zaustaviti ovaj sukob da se  postigne "održivi mir".

Otvarajući sjednicu, glavni tajnik UN-a Antonio Guterres upozorio je Vijeće sigurnosti na rizik od izbijanja "nekontrolirane sigurnosne i humanitarne krize" u regiji ako se brzo ne postigne prekid vatre.

Taj "bezumni ciklus prolijevanja krvi, terora i uništavanja mora odmah prestati", rekao je Guterres.

Takve su pozive uglavnom ponavljali i drugi veleposlanici u izlaganjima u nedjelju od Rusije do Tunisa, Norveške ili Irske, piše agencija AFP.

Predstavnik Nigera u Vijeću sigurnosti zatražio je da se "Palestincima priznao jednako pravo" koje se priznaje Izraelu - pravo na "samoobranu".

Od ponedjeljka palestinske oružane skupine predvođene Hamasom ispalile su više od 3000 raketa iz pojasa Gaze na izraelski teritorij, a najveći dio njih pao je na Gazu ili ga je presreo izraelski proturaketni štit "Željezna kupola".

Izrael je objavio da je poginulo 10 njegovih građana, uključujući dvoje djece.

U izraelskim napadima na ciljeve Hamasa i oružanih skupina u gusto naseljenoj Gazi poginulo je najmanje 192 Palestinaca, od kojih 58 djece.

Hamas je počeo raketirati Izrael u ponedjeljak, nakon višetjednih tenzija zbog odluke suda o deložiranju nekoliko palestinskih obitelji u Istočnom Jeruzalemu i sukoba policije s Palestincima blizu džamije Al Aksa, koja je treće najsvetije mjesto za muslimane.

Nema nikakvog pomaka: Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a i dalje bez zajedničke deklaracije po pitanju sukoba Izraelaca i Palestinaca

Vijeće sigurnosti UN-a u nedjelju se okupilo na trećoj hitnoj sjednici o izraelsko-palestinskom sukobu u tjedan dana, ali bez uspjeha u usuglašavanju zajedničke deklaracije i prijedloga koji bi brzo vodili okončanju nasilja.

Virtualna sjednica bila je poprište međusobnih optuživanja Palestinaca i Izraelaca. 

Usporedno sa sjednicom, 15 članica Vijeća sigurnosti nastavilo je pregovarati o zajedničkoj deklaraciji kojom bi pozvale na prekid neprijateljstva i potvrdile predanost rješenju o dvije države koje bi postojale jedna pored druge, IzraeIa i Palestine na temelju prethodnih rezolucija UN-a.

Međutim, više diplomata koje je kontaktirala agencija AFP, kazalo je da Sjedinjene Države ustraju u odbijanju bilo kakve zajedničke deklaracije, a takvo stajalište nerazumljivo je...
