Predsjednik Nikaragve Daniel Ortega izabran je na četvrti petogodišnji mandat sa 75 posto glasova, objavilo je u ponedjeljak izborno povjerenstvo djelomične službene rezultate dan nakon izbora koje oporba odbacuje kao namještene, a Washington naziva "komedijom".

Ti djelomični službeni rezultati temelje se na prebrojanim glasovima s 49 posto birališta, navodi povjerenstvo.

Dodaje daje odziv na izbore iznosio 65,34 posto od oko 4,5 milijuna Nikaragvanaca s pravom glasa. 

Međutim, ti službeni rezultati odudaraju od podataka oporbenog promatračkog tijela "Urnas Abiertas" prema kojem 81,5 posto  birača nije glasalo, a što temelje na ocjeni 1.450 svojih promatrača s 563 birališta.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden nazvao je izbore u Nikaragvi "komedijom".

Ortega je vodio nemilosrdnu kampanju nastojeći produžiti svoju vladavinu čvrstom rukom zatvaranjem kritičara. Taj nekadašnji gerilac koji je pomogao u svrgavanju deseničarske obiteljske diktature 1979. godine, učinio je sve da osvoji četvrti mandat zaredom sa svojom suprugom, potpredsjednicom države Rosariom Murillom, kako bi produžio svoj status najdugovječnijeg američkog čelnika.

Bio je predsjednik u 1980-ima, vlast je izgubio tijekom nereda 1990., no vratio se ponovno 2007. godine.

Od svibnja, Ortegina policija je zatvorila gotovo 40 vodećih oporbenih političara, uključujući i sedam predsjedničkih kandidata, istaknutih poslovnih ljudi, novinara, kao i neke svoje bivše saveznike.
Jedina Ortegina oporba na glasačkim listićima bilo je pet manje poznatih kandidata malih udruženih stranaka.
U nedjelju su se birala i 92 zastupnika u jednodomni kongres koji je također pod čvrstim stiskom Orteginih saveznika.
Prošli tjedan, američki dužnosnici rekli su da se razmatraju nove sankcije protiv vlade čelnog para, što je mišljenje koje dijele i čelnici Europske unije, uz buduću ocjenu statusa Nikaragve u sklopu regionalnog trgovinskog sporazuma CAFTA.
Ortega, hladnoratovski protivnik SAD-a 70-ih marksistički pobunjenik, odbacuje međunarodne kritike, govoreći da se Nikaragva mora boriti protiv imperijalista i da ga sankcije neće poraziti.
Neki analitičari, poput politologinje Elvire Cuadre koja je i sama u egzilu upozoraaju da će jačanje međunarodne izolacije samo pogoršati gospodarsko i društveno nazadovanje te povećati ionako veliko iseljavanje iz Nikaragve.

Predsjednik Nikaragve Daniel Ortega izabran je na četvrti petogodišnji mandat sa 75 posto glasova, objavilo je u ponedjeljak izborno povjerenstvo djelomične službene rezultate dan nakon izbora koje oporba odbacuje kao namještene, a Washington naziva "komedijom".

Ti djelomični službeni rezultati temelje se na prebrojanim glasovima s 49 posto birališta, navodi povjerenstvo.

Dodaje daje odziv na izbore iznosio 65,34 posto od oko 4,5 milijuna Nikaragvanaca s pravom glasa. 

Međutim, ti službeni rezultati odudaraju od podataka oporbenog promatračkog tijela "Urnas Abiertas" prema kojem 81,5 posto  birača nije glasalo, a što temelje na ocjeni 1.450 svojih promatrača s 563 birališta.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden nazvao je izbore u Nikaragvi "komedijom".

Ortega je vodio nemilosrdnu kampanju nastojeći produžiti svoju vladavinu čvrstom rukom zatvaranjem kritičara. Taj nekadašnji gerilac koji je pomogao u svrgavanju deseničarske obiteljske diktature 1979. godine, učinio je sve da osvoji četvrti mandat zaredom sa svojom suprugom, potpredsjednicom države Rosariom Murillom, kako bi produžio svoj status najdugovječnijeg američkog čelnika.

Bio je predsjednik u 1980-ima, vlast je izgubio tijekom nereda 1990., no vratio se ponovno 2007. godine.

Od svibnja, Ortegina policija je zatvorila gotovo 40 vodećih oporbenih političara, uključujući i sedam predsjedničkih kandidata, istaknutih poslovnih ljudi, novinara, kao i neke svoje bivše saveznike.
Jedina Ortegina oporba na glasačkim listićima bilo je pet manje poznatih kandidata malih udruženih stranaka.
U nedjelju su se birala i 92 zastupnika u jednodomni kongres koji je također pod čvrstim stiskom Orteginih saveznika.
Prošli tjedan, američki dužnosnici rekli su da se razmatraju nove sankcije protiv vlade čelnog para, što je mišljenje koje dijele i čelnici Europske unije, uz buduću ocjenu statusa Nikaragve u sklopu regionalnog trgovinskog sporazuma CAFTA.
Ortega, hladnoratovski protivnik SAD-a 70-ih marksistički pobunjenik, odbacuje međunarodne kritike, govoreći da se Nikaragva mora boriti protiv imperijalista i da ga sankcije neće poraziti.
Neki analitičari, poput politologinje Elvire Cuadre koja je i sama u egzilu upozoraaju da će jačanje međunarodne izolacije samo pogoršati gospodarsko i društveno nazadovanje te povećati ionako veliko iseljavanje iz Nikaragve.

Predsjednik Nikaragve Daniel Ortega izabran je na četvrti petogodišnji mandat sa 75 posto glasova, objavilo je u ponedjeljak izborno povjerenstvo djelomične službene rezultate dan nakon izbora koje oporba odbacuje kao namještene, a Washington naziva "komedijom".

Ti djelomični službeni rezultati temelje se na prebrojanim glasovima s 49 posto birališta, navodi povjerenstvo.

Dodaje daje odziv na izbore iznosio 65,34 posto od oko 4,5 milijuna Nikaragvanaca s pravom glasa. 

Međutim, ti službeni rezultati odudaraju od podataka oporbenog promatračkog tijela "Urnas Abiertas" prema kojem 81,5 posto  birača nije glasalo, a što temelje na ocjeni 1.450 svojih promatrača s 563 birališta.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden nazvao je izbore u Nikaragvi "komedijom".
