Hodočasnički obredi u Meki, u Saudijskoj Arabiji, počeli su u srijedu uz sudjelovanje stotina tisuća hodočasnika, uz jak nadzor zbog opasnosti od stampeda, ali i širenja gripe H1N1.

Pješice i autobusima, uz strašnu prometnu gužvu, hodočasnici u bijelim tunikama prevalili su desetak kilometara između najvećeg islamskog svetišta i stjenovite doline Mine, gdje će provesti noć.

Po službenom saudijskom izvoru, monarhija je izdala 1,6 milijuna viza inozemnim hodočasnicima kojima će se pridružiti stotine tisuća domaćih vjernika.

Gotovo 100.000 policajaca osigurava hadž, a medicinska ekipa za prvu pomoć ima 20.000 ljudi, zbog straha od širenja nove gripe.

Mali broj vjernika nosio je u srijedu zaštitne maske dolazeći u Minu, unatoč pozivima vlasti da to učine. Uz cestu je bio stacioniran veći broj pokretnih klinika i vozila hitne pomoći. Na ulazu u dolinu postavljene su termičke kamere radi otkrivanja hodočasnika s povišenom temperaturom.

Hodočasnički obredi u Meki, u Saudijskoj Arabiji, počeli su u srijedu uz sudjelovanje stotina tisuća hodočasnika, uz jak nadzor zbog opasnosti od stampeda, ali i širenja gripe H1N1.

Pješice i autobusima, uz strašnu prometnu gužvu, hodočasnici u bijelim tunikama prevalili su desetak kilometara između najvećeg islamskog svetišta i stjenovite doline Mine, gdje će provesti noć.

Po službenom saudijskom izvoru, monarhija je izdala 1,6 milijuna viza inozemnim hodočasnicima kojima će se pridružiti stotine tisuća domaćih vjernika.

Gotovo 100.000 policajaca osigurava hadž, a medicinska ekipa za prvu pomoć ima 20.000 ljudi, zbog straha od širenja nove gripe.

Mali broj vjernika nosio je u srijedu zaštitne maske dolazeći u Minu, unatoč pozivima vlasti da to učine. Uz cestu je bio stacioniran veći broj pokretnih klinika i vozila hitne pomoći. Na ulazu u dolinu postavljene su termičke kamere radi otkrivanja hodočasnika s povišenom temperaturom.
