Ubrzo nakon polijetanja iz zračne baze Medan, avion tipa Hercules C-130 srušio se na četvrt te metropole s dva milijuna stanovnika, na otoku Sumatri.

Zapovjednik zračnih snaga Agus Dwi Putranto kazao je novinarima da je prema prvim elementima istrage avion star 51 godinu letio presporo zbog problema na jednom od četiri propelerska motora.

"Vjerojatno se jedan propeler zaustavio. Avion, koji je letio presporo, napravio je trzaj udesno i udario u antenski stup zgrade", objasnio je.

Pilot aviona zatražio je da se vrati u bazu "što znači da se pojavio problem", dodao je Agus.

Broj mrtvih nakon pada vojnog zrakoplova u stambenoj zoni grada Medana popeo se na 142, dok se potraga za ostalim žrtvama nastavlja među ruševinama zgrada.

Zrakoplov sa 122 putnika i člana posade poletio je iz zračne baze Medan i srušio se ubrzo nakon toga nad novoizgrađenom stambenom zonom u tome četvrtom po veličini indonezijskom gradu smještenom na sjeveru otoka Sumatre.

Zrakoplov je gotovo u potpunosti uništen nakon što je udario u hotel i salon za masažu a u ruševinama se prepoznaju samo krila. Brojni putnici bili su članovi obitelji vojnika te žene.

Ubrzo nakon polijetanja iz zračne baze Medan, avion tipa Hercules C-130 srušio se na četvrt te metropole s dva milijuna stanovnika, na otoku Sumatri.

Zapovjednik zračnih snaga Agus Dwi Putranto kazao je novinarima da je prema prvim elementima istrage avion star 51 godinu letio presporo zbog problema na jednom od četiri propelerska motora.

"Vjerojatno se jedan propeler zaustavio. Avion, koji je letio presporo, napravio je trzaj udesno i udario u antenski stup zgrade", objasnio je.

Pilot aviona zatražio je da se vrati u bazu "što znači da se pojavio problem", dodao je Agus.

Broj mrtvih nakon pada vojnog zrakoplova u stambenoj zoni grada Medana popeo se na 142, dok se potraga za ostalim žrtvama nastavlja među ruševinama zgrada.

Zrakoplov sa 122 putnika i člana posade poletio je iz zračne baze Medan i srušio se ubrzo nakon toga nad novoizgrađenom stambenom zonom u tome četvrtom po veličini indonezijskom gradu smještenom na sjeveru otoka Sumatre.

Zrakoplov je gotovo u potpunosti uništen nakon što je udario u hotel i salon za masažu a u ruševinama se prepoznaju samo krila. Brojni putnici bili su članovi obitelji vojnika te žene.
