Pod utjecajem koronavirusa ljudi su postali neplodna, ugrožena vrsta. Poput panda, oni se više ne razmnožavaju u zarobljeništvu kućnog pritvora, kako je većini ljudi počela izgledati karantena. Zato u spavaćim sobama širom Amerike bračni parovi donose odluke koje bi mogle djelovati na zdravlje ekonomije, jednako odlučno kao i odluke koje će donijeti politička elita u Washingtonu – napisao je nedavno prestižni američki poslovni tjednik Bloomberg Buisnessweek.
Iza ovih vrlo ozbiljnih riječi krije se jedan, sasvim obični, ljudski deficit današnjeg naraštaja Amerikanaca ali i Europljana, nedostatak aktivnog bračnog života.
'Uspavani' brakovi
Naime, u skladu s pučkom mudrošću kako muškarci i žene suočeni s karantenom i zatvoreni u svoja četiri zida neće raditi ništa drugo nego aktivno konzumirati brak i spolnost, očekivalo se da će epidemija koronavirusa donijeti i nešto dobro, "baby boom" sličan onome koji je Amerika imala iza Drugog svjetskog rata.
No dogodilo se upravo suprotno, jer u situaciji kad je 18 milijuna Amerikanaca ostalo bez posla nije čudno što mnogi parovi nisu baš raspoloženi za nastavljanje vrste. Takvo ponašanje pokazuje da su optimizam i vjera u bolji život jako povezani s plodnošću populacije. Odgađanje osnivanja ili proširivanja obitelji zbog trenutačne krize, smatraju američki demografi, na kraju ostane konačna odluka, koja se onda pretvara u trajni demografski gubitak koji ponekad ima obilježje osobne tragedije.
Naime, kod nekih parova i u nekim obiteljima odgoda rođenja željenog djeteta može biti tiha, ali trajna tragedija. Posebno zato prosječna Amerikanka, ako joj to okolnosti dopuste, želi imati dvoje do troje djece. Ako pandemija korone potraje mnoge žene neće moći ostvariti tu svoju želju. Na duge staze to bi značilo svijet bez djece koji, smatraju stručnjaci, nema baš puno smisla.
Tako barem misli ekonomist Charles Jones s prestižnog Sveučilišta u Stanfordu, koji je u najnovije vrijeme predložio provođenje "politike rađanja" koja bi išla za tim da se parovima ponude financijski poticaji za stvaranje što većih obitelji. Iza ove zamisli su jednostavni ekonomski razlozi koje je Jones objasnio tvrdnjom kako nizak natalitet stvara začarani ekonomski krug u kojem manje djece znači manje gospodarske aktivnosti u budućnosti, što opet znači pad životnog standarda, a u konačnici i biološki nestanak naroda, država ili čovječanstva.
Usprkos tome, slika svijeta bez djece mnogim Amerikancima, zbog krize, nije toliko odbojna pa je korona donijela puno veću prodaju sredstava za kontracepciju i prekid trudnoće.
Naime, otkako je izbila pandemija koronavirusa mnogi su Amerikanci počeli stvarati kućne zalihe sredstava za kontracepciju, a brojne žene su posegnule za nešto trajnijim rješenjima, pa su tako proizvođači tzv. vaginalnih prstena zabilježili nagli porast prodaje.
Dogodine još gore
Prema znanstvenim istraživanjima SAD je početkom 21. stoljeća demografski stajao manje-više dobro. S natalitetom od 2,1 djeteta po ženi bio je u daleko boljem stanju od Europe koja s 1,59 djece po ženi srlja u demografsku katastrofu.
No, kako sada stoje stvari, i Americi se sprema europska demografska katastrofa s obzirom na to da je natalitet pao na 1,7 djece po jednoj ženi.
S time u vezi nameću se i pitanja: Koliko je zdravstveni sustav pouzdan, odnosno koliko može pružiti djetetu i majci? Je li budućim roditeljima dostupan odgovarajući broj vrtića u koje mogu smjestiti djecu kada su na poslu? Hoće li im plaća biti dovoljna za normalan život? Hoće li im posao biti siguran? Zato ne treba čuditi što su istraživanja pokazala da u ovom trenutku trećina Amerikanki čeka neka bolja vremena za zasnivanje obitelji, dok samo šestina želi djecu odmah i sada, bez obzira na trenutnu krizu.
Prema istraživanjima prestižne Institucije Brookings, u SAD-u će 2021. na svijet doći između 300 do 500 tisuća beba manje nego 2019. godine. Ovom padu treba dodati i umrle od koronavirusa. Gledano na duge staze to znači manje Amerikanaca koji će živjeti u 22. stoljeću, što otvara problem budućnosti Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Geopolitičar i strateg George Friedman, poznat po vezama s američkim obavještajnim i vojnim establišmentom, predviđa da će u drugoj polovici ovog stoljeća SAD demografski, kulturološki i politički preobraziti južnoamerički imigranti.

Pod utjecajem koronavirusa ljudi su postali neplodna, ugrožena vrsta. Poput panda, oni se više ne razmnožavaju u zarobljeništvu kućnog pritvora, kako je većini ljudi počela izgledati karantena. Zato u spavaćim sobama širom Amerike bračni parovi donose odluke koje bi mogle djelovati na zdravlje ekonomije, jednako odlučno kao i odluke koje će donijeti politička elita u Washingtonu – napisao je nedavno prestižni američki poslovni tjednik Bloomberg Buisnessweek.
Iza ovih vrlo ozbiljnih riječi krije se jedan, sasvim obični, ljudski deficit današnjeg naraštaja Amerikanaca ali i Europljana, nedostatak aktivnog bračnog života.
'Uspavani' brakovi
Naime, u skladu s pučkom mudrošću kako muškarci i žene suočeni s karantenom i zatvoreni u svoja četiri zida neće raditi ništa drugo nego aktivno konzumirati brak i spolnost, očekivalo se da će epidemija koronavirusa donijeti i nešto dobro, "baby boom" sličan onome koji je Amerika imala iza Drugog svjetskog rata.
No dogodilo se upravo suprotno, jer u situaciji kad je 18 milijuna Amerikanaca ostalo bez posla nije čudno što mnogi parovi nisu baš raspoloženi za nastavljanje vrste. Takvo ponašanje pokazuje da su optimizam i vjera u bolji život jako povezani s plodnošću populacije. Odgađanje osnivanja ili proširivanja obitelji zbog trenutačne krize, smatraju američki demografi, na kraju ostane konačna odluka, koja se onda pretvara u trajni demografski gubitak koji ponekad ima obilježje osobne tragedije.
Naime, kod nekih parova i u nekim obiteljima odgoda rođenja željenog djeteta može biti tiha, ali trajna tragedija. Posebno zato prosječna Amerikanka, ako joj to okolnosti dopuste, želi imati dvoje do troje djece. Ako pandemija korone potraje mnoge žene neće moći ostvariti tu svoju želju. Na duge staze to bi značilo svijet bez djece koji, smatraju stručnjaci, nema baš puno smisla.
Tako barem misli ekonomist Charles Jones s prestižnog Sveučilišta u Stanfordu, koji je u najnovije vrijeme predložio provođenje "politike rađanja" koja bi išla za tim da se parovima ponude financijski poticaji za stvaranje što većih obitelji. Iza ove zamisli su jednostavni ekonomski razlozi koje je Jones objasnio tvrdnjom kako nizak natalitet stvara začarani ekonomski krug u kojem manje djece znači manje gospodarske aktivnosti u budućnosti, što opet znači pad životnog standarda, a u konačnici i biološki nestanak naroda, država ili čovječanstva.
Usprkos tome, slika svijeta bez djece mnogim Amerikancima, zbog krize, nije toliko odbojna pa je korona donijela puno veću prodaju sredstava za kontracepciju i prekid trudnoće.
Naime, otkako je izbila pandemija koronavirusa mnogi su Amerikanci počeli stvarati kućne zalihe sredstava za kontracepciju, a brojne žene su posegnule za nešto trajnijim rješenjima, pa su tako proizvođači tzv. vaginalnih prstena zabilježili nagli porast prodaje.
Dogodine još gore
Prema znanstvenim istraživanjima SAD je početkom 21. stoljeća demografski stajao manje-više dobro. S natalitetom od 2,1 djeteta po ženi bio je u daleko boljem stanju od Europe koja s 1,59 djece po ženi srlja u demografsku katastrofu.
No, kako sada stoje stvari, i Americi se sprema europska demografska katastrofa s obzirom na to da je natalitet pao na 1,7 djece po jednoj ženi.
S time u vezi nameću se i pitanja: Koliko je zdravstveni sustav pouzdan, odnosno koliko može pružiti djetetu i majci? Je li budućim roditeljima dostupan odgovarajući broj vrtića u koje mogu smjestiti djecu kada su na poslu? Hoće li im plaća biti dovoljna za normalan život? Hoće li im posao biti siguran? Zato ne treba čuditi što su istraživanja pokazala da u ovom trenutku trećina Amerikanki čeka neka bolja vremena za zasnivanje obitelji, dok samo šestina želi djecu odmah i sada, bez obzira na trenutnu krizu.
Prema istraživanjima prestižne Institucije Brookings, u SAD-u će 2021. na svijet doći između 300 do 500 tisuća beba manje nego 2019. godine. Ovom padu treba dodati i umrle od koronavirusa. Gledano na duge staze to znači manje Amerikanaca koji će živjeti u 22. stoljeću, što otvara problem budućnosti Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Geopolitičar i strateg George Friedman, poznat po vezama s američkim obavještajnim i vojnim establišmentom, predviđa da će u drugoj polovici ovog stoljeća SAD demografski, kulturološki i politički preobraziti južnoamerički imigranti.
