"U pagodi se u trenutku nalazilo mnogo ljudi jer je trajala vjerska služba. Među njima su bili i mornari iz obližnje baze", rekao je jedan od očevidaca nesreće. Pagoda je prije urušavanja bila visoka 35, a nakon nesreće samo 10 metara, objavili su vojni izvori.

Povijesna pagoda Danok teško je oštećena u svibnju prošle godine u olujnom nevremenu koje je pogodilo Jangon. Obnova je trajala skoro godinu dana. Prije nekoliko tjedana za posjetitelje ju je otvorila Kyaing Kyaing, supruga šefa mianmarske vojne hunte, generala Than Shwea.

Uzrok nesreće su vjerojatno loše izvedeni radovi, a u praznovjernom Mianmaru ona se doživljava kao loš znak za generala Shwea.

"U pagodi se u trenutku nalazilo mnogo ljudi jer je trajala vjerska služba. Među njima su bili i mornari iz obližnje baze", rekao je jedan od očevidaca nesreće. Pagoda je prije urušavanja bila visoka 35, a nakon nesreće samo 10 metara, objavili su vojni izvori.

Povijesna pagoda Danok teško je oštećena u svibnju prošle godine u olujnom nevremenu koje je pogodilo Jangon. Obnova je trajala skoro godinu dana. Prije nekoliko tjedana za posjetitelje ju je otvorila Kyaing Kyaing, supruga šefa mianmarske vojne hunte, generala Than Shwea.

Uzrok nesreće su vjerojatno loše izvedeni radovi, a u praznovjernom Mianmaru ona se doživljava kao loš znak za generala Shwea.

Najmanje su dvije osobe poginule, a stotinjak ih je ozlijeđeno u urušavanju drevne pagode Danok u mianmarskom glavnom gradu Jangonu, objavili su vojni izvori u nedjelju.
