Izrael je u noći na ponedjeljak pojačao napade na Rafah, a u ponedjeljak ujutro objavio da su najnoviji udari izvedeni kako bi se odvratila pažnja od akcije spašavanja dvojice talaca, uspješno oslobođenih iz Hamasova zarobljeništva. Hamasovo Ministarstvo zdravstva objavilo je u ponedjeljak da je u tim izraelskim napadima poginulo najmanje 67 osoba.

Reakcije međunarodne javnosti na izraelsku odluku da napadne Rafah, grad u kojem se prema procjenama nalazi između polovice do tri četvrtine stanovnika Gaze, očekivano pljušte još od prošlog tjedna. Američki predsjednik Joe Biden cijeli je prošli tjedan javno upozoravao Izrael da operaciju ne provodi prije temeljite pripreme i sigurnosne procjene upravo zbog izgleda da bude velik broj kolateralnih žrtava. U izraelskim operacijama u Gazi već je poginulo više od 28.000 ljudi od 2,3 milijuna stanovnika, a njih gotovo 70.000 je ranjeno.

Niz američkih dužnosnika, uključujući i samog Bidena, ponovno je u nedjelju upozorio Izrael da bi nedovoljno isplanirana kopnena invazija dovela do krvoprolića. U gradu se nalazi oko 1,3 ili 1,4 milijuna ljudi, javljaju strani mediji. Dio su stanovnici grada, a dio izbjeglice koje su od rata pobjegli sa sjevera Gaze.

Još od prvih prošlotjednih udara na grad stanovništvo najviše strahuje od kopnene invazije, ističući da za bijeg iz grada treba proći kroz područja pod izraelskim granatama.

Biden i Benjamin Netanyahu razgovarali su u nedjelju oko 45 minuta. Prema izjavama koje je jedan anonimni dužnosnik dao za američki ABC News, Izrael "zna da bi civile u slučaju invazije trebalo preseliti te ih adekvatno poduprijeti". Upitan o izvedivosti preseljenja milijun civila, dužnosnik je odgovorio kako je "Izrael jasno dao do znanja da bez toga ne bi niti razmatrao operaciju". Sam je Netanyahu u intervjuu za ABC otkrio da Izrael "izrađuje plan o relokaciji" te da bi civili trebali poći na sjever Gaze, na područje koje je IDF već pregledao u lovu na članove Hamasa. Međutim, taj dio Gaze je devastiran, a raseljeni Palestinci već žive u dovoljno strašnim uvjetima. Navodno je četvrtina Palestinaca u Rafahu u opasnosti od gladi.

Za potencijalne ulične borbe u Rafahu neimenovani je američki dužnosnik rekao da takav scenarij ne podržava samo premijer nego i Izraelci i premijerov ratni kabinet. U razgovoru za ABC News Netanyahu je istaknuo da Izrael nema izbora. "Oni koji kažu da nipošto ne smijemo ući u Rafah, praktički nam govore da izgubimo rat i pustimo Hamas da tamo ostane", poručio je Netanyahu, dodajući da se bore protiv Hamasa, a ne civila.

Niz zemalja izrazio je neslaganje s napadima na Rafah. Japansko Ministarstvo vanjskih poslova u ponedjeljak je poručilo da je "duboko zabrinuto". Šef diplomacije EU Josep Borrell rekao je da je "izuzetno zabrinut" zbog prijetnji da IDF počne napade bez evakuacijskog plana i mogućnosti da se otvore izbjeglički kampovi u Egiptu.

Oglasio se i Egipat na čijoj se granici nalazi Rafah. Tamošnja je vlada zaprijetila da će proglasiti nevažećim mirovni ugovor s Izraelom ako IDF uđe u gusto naseljeni palestinski grad. Borbe na tom području mogle bi zatvoriti istoimeni granični prijelaz koji je glavna ruta za opskrbu palestinskog teritorija. Portal Politico objavio je tu vijest pozivajući se na dva egipatska dužnosnika i jednog zapadnog diplomata.

Egipat prijeti suspenzijom Sporazuma iz Camp Davida, povijesnog dogovora uz američko posredništvo, koji je temelj regionalne stabilnosti već 50 godina. Egipat odbija primiti izbjeglice iz Gaze jer smatra kako postoji velika šansa da se nikad ne vrate u Gazu.

U ponedjeljak se oglasila i Turska koja je u priopćenju navela da je "ekstremno zabrinuta" zbog sve snažnijih izraelskih udara na Rafah. Izrael je pozvao UN-ove agencije da mu pomognu u evakuaciji civilnog stanovništva iz grada.

Izrael je u noći na ponedjeljak pojačao napade na Rafah, a u ponedjeljak ujutro objavio da su najnoviji udari izvedeni kako bi se odvratila pažnja od akcije spašavanja dvojice talaca, uspješno oslobođenih iz Hamasova zarobljeništva. Hamasovo Ministarstvo zdravstva objavilo je u ponedjeljak da je u tim izraelskim napadima poginulo najmanje 67 osoba.

Reakcije međunarodne javnosti na izraelsku odluku da napadne Rafah, grad u kojem se prema procjenama nalazi između polovice do tri četvrtine stanovnika Gaze, očekivano pljušte još od prošlog tjedna. Američki predsjednik Joe Biden cijeli je prošli tjedan javno upozoravao Izrael da operaciju ne provodi prije temeljite pripreme i sigurnosne procjene upravo zbog izgleda da bude velik broj kolateralnih žrtava. U izraelskim operacijama u Gazi već je poginulo više od 28.000 ljudi od 2,3 milijuna stanovnika, a njih gotovo 70.000 je ranjeno.

Niz američkih dužnosnika, uključujući i samog Bidena, ponovno je u nedjelju upozorio Izrael da bi nedovoljno isplanirana kopnena invazija dovela do krvoprolića. U gradu se nalazi oko 1,3 ili 1,4 milijuna ljudi, javljaju strani mediji. Dio su stanovnici grada, a dio izbjeglice koje su od rata pobjegli sa sjevera Gaze.

Još od prvih prošlotjednih udara na grad stanovništvo najviše strahuje od kopnene invazije, ističući da za bijeg iz grada treba proći kroz područja pod izraelskim granatama.

Biden i Benjamin Netanyahu razgovarali su u nedjelju oko 45 minuta. Prema izjavama koje je jedan anonimni dužnosnik dao za američki ABC News, Izrael "zna da bi civile u slučaju invazije trebalo preseliti te ih adekvatno poduprijeti". Upitan o izvedivosti preseljenja milijun civila, dužnosnik je odgovorio kako je "Izrael jasno dao do znanja da bez toga ne bi niti razmatrao operaciju". Sam je Netanyahu u intervjuu za ABC otkrio da Izrael "izrađuje plan o relokaciji" te da bi civili trebali poći na sjever Gaze, na područje koje je IDF već pregledao u lovu na članove Hamasa. Međutim, taj dio Gaze je devastiran, a raseljeni Palestinci već žive u dovoljno strašnim uvjetima. Navodno je četvrtina Palestinaca u Rafahu u opasnosti od gladi.

Za potencijalne ulične borbe u Rafahu neimenovani je američki dužnosnik rekao da takav scenarij ne podržava samo premijer nego i Izraelci i premijerov ratni kabinet. U razgovoru za ABC News Netanyahu je istaknuo da Izrael nema izbora. "Oni koji kažu da nipošto ne smijemo ući u Rafah, praktički nam govore da izgubimo rat i pustimo Hamas da tamo ostane", poručio je Netanyahu, dodajući da se bore protiv Hamasa, a ne civila.

Niz zemalja izrazio je neslaganje s napadima na Rafah. Japansko Ministarstvo vanjskih poslova u ponedjeljak je poručilo da je "duboko zabrinuto". Šef diplomacije EU Josep Borrell rekao je da je "izuzetno zabrinut" zbog prijetnji da IDF počne napade bez evakuacijskog plana i mogućnosti da se otvore izbjeglički kampovi u Egiptu.

Oglasio se i Egipat na čijoj se granici nalazi Rafah. Tamošnja je vlada zaprijetila da će proglasiti nevažećim mirovni ugovor s Izraelom ako IDF uđe u gusto naseljeni palestinski grad. Borbe na tom području mogle bi zatvoriti istoimeni granični prijelaz koji je glavna ruta za opskrbu palestinskog teritorija. Portal Politico objavio je tu vijest pozivajući se na dva egipatska dužnosnika i jednog zapadnog diplomata.

Egipat prijeti suspenzijom Sporazuma iz Camp Davida, povijesnog dogovora uz američko posredništvo, koji je temelj regionalne stabilnosti već 50 godina. Egipat odbija primiti izbjeglice iz Gaze jer smatra kako postoji velika šansa da se nikad ne vrate u Gazu.

U ponedjeljak se oglasila i Turska koja je u priopćenju navela da je "ekstremno zabrinuta" zbog sve snažnijih izraelskih udara na Rafah. Izrael je pozvao UN-ove agencije da mu pomognu u evakuaciji civilnog stanovništva iz grada.
