Raste presija na Irsku zbog Lisabonskog ugovora. Svakim danom, što se više približava 2. listopada, kad Irci idu na “popravni ispit”, iznenadi ih poneka izjava o eventualnim posljedicama.

Posljednja, vrlo značajna, došla je od Silvija Berlusconija. Talijanski premijer rekao je da će, ako Irci odbiju Lisabonski ugovor, vrlo vjerojatno dio zemalja koje žele veću suradnju osnovati ”Europu jezgre”. Iz takvog kruga zemalja koje bi bile zainteresiranije za pojačanu međusobnu suradnju Irska bi bila isključena.

To bi za ovu zemlju bio strašan udarac jer, naravno, one zemlje koje bi bile u jezgri, bile bi članice prvoga reda - a Irska to ne bi bila. Berlusconi je najvjerojatnije glasnogovornik skupine zemalja koji ovako upozoravaju Irsku, a tim jače ovo odjekuje u irskim ušima, jer je Berlusconi slikovita i kontroverzna politička figura.

Prije nekoliko godina oštro je govorio protiv formiranja “jezgre Europe”, a sada je zagovara - to je jako oštra poruka Ircima, ali naravno i Česima, čiji predsjednik Vaclav Klaus i dalje odbija staviti potpis i tako do kraja formalizirati potvrdu Praga na Lisabonski ugovor.

Na pitanje Slobodne Dalmacije jednom visokom dužnosniku Europske komisijeo tome što će se dogoditi ako Čeh ne potpiše, ovaj je vrlo hladnokrvno odgovorio: “Svatko, pa i Klaus, ima svoj vijek trajanja.

Ponašat ćemo se kao da je ratificirano, i čekati da istekne njegov mandat, a za to vrijeme Česi će morati pričekati na uglednije funkcije. Onaj sljedeći, nakon Klausa, potpisat će, tako da je taj problem, u biti, riješen. Klaus je samo smetalo. Ako prođe irski referendum, nas više ništa ne brine.”

U Irskoj je u posljednje vrijeme ponovno pala podrška Lisabonskom ugovoru. Bila je znatno porasla, jer su bruxelleske zajedničke blagajne izdašno pomogle irske financije i ekonomiju, kad su one u krizi stradale. Narod je bio zahvalan, ali zahvalnost kratko traje jer se takva vrsta pomoći smatra prirodnom.

Ne razumiju da bi ona mogla prestati. Sada im svi objašnjavaju da to nikako nije prirodno i malo po malo, a sve jače, ocrtavaju im i drukčiju budućnost, u bruxelleskom žargonu to se zove “svijanje ruke iza leđa”. Međutim, isto tako, Irci su dobili velike iznimke u Lisabonskom ugovoru.

Neke od njih su beznačajne - na primjer, vojna neutralnost. Druge su modifikacije oko prava na abortus, ali to je njihov unutrašnji problem. Treće su vezane uz zahtijev da Irska uvijek ima svog povjerenika, što je dovelo do toga da će ipak sve zemlje članice imati svog povjernika u Europskoj komisiji.

Konačno, dobili su znatne olakšice vezane uz poreze, što im omogućuju da i dalje budu sjedište nekih američkih kompanija za Europu.

Raste presija na Irsku zbog Lisabonskog ugovora. Svakim danom, što se više približava 2. listopada, kad Irci idu na “popravni ispit”, iznenadi ih poneka izjava o eventualnim posljedicama.

Posljednja, vrlo značajna, došla je od Silvija Berlusconija. Talijanski premijer rekao je da će, ako Irci odbiju Lisabonski ugovor, vrlo vjerojatno dio zemalja koje žele veću suradnju osnovati ”Europu jezgre”. Iz takvog kruga zemalja koje bi bile zainteresiranije za pojačanu međusobnu suradnju Irska bi bila isključena.

To bi za ovu zemlju bio strašan udarac jer, naravno, one zemlje koje bi bile u jezgri, bile bi članice prvoga reda - a Irska to ne bi bila. Berlusconi je najvjerojatnije glasnogovornik skupine zemalja koji ovako upozoravaju Irsku, a tim jače ovo odjekuje u irskim ušima, jer je Berlusconi slikovita i kontroverzna politička figura.

Prije nekoliko godina oštro je govorio protiv formiranja “jezgre Europe”, a sada je zagovara - to je jako oštra poruka Ircima, ali naravno i Česima, čiji predsjednik Vaclav Klaus i dalje odbija staviti potpis i tako do kraja formalizirati potvrdu Praga na Lisabonski ugovor.

Na pitanje Slobodne Dalmacije jednom visokom dužnosniku Europske komisijeo tome što će se dogoditi ako Čeh ne potpiše, ovaj je vrlo hladnokrvno odgovorio: “Svatko, pa i Klaus, ima svoj vijek trajanja.

Ponašat ćemo se kao da je ratificirano, i čekati da istekne njegov mandat, a za to vrijeme Česi će morati pričekati na uglednije funkcije. Onaj sljedeći, nakon Klausa, potpisat će, tako da je taj problem, u biti, riješen. Klaus je samo smetalo. Ako prođe irski referendum, nas više ništa ne brine.”

U Irskoj je u posljednje vrijeme ponovno pala podrška Lisabonskom ugovoru. Bila je znatno porasla, jer su bruxelleske zajedničke blagajne izdašno pomogle irske financije i ekonomiju, kad su one u krizi stradale. Narod je bio zahvalan, ali zahvalnost kratko traje jer se takva vrsta pomoći smatra prirodnom.

Ne razumiju da bi ona mogla prestati. Sada im svi objašnjavaju da to nikako nije prirodno i malo po malo, a sve jače, ocrtavaju im i drukčiju budućnost, u bruxelleskom žargonu to se zove “svijanje ruke iza leđa”. Međutim, isto tako, Irci su dobili velike iznimke u Lisabonskom ugovoru.

Neke od njih su beznačajne - na primjer, vojna neutralnost. Druge su modifikacije oko prava na abortus, ali to je njihov unutrašnji problem. Treće su vezane uz zahtijev da Irska uvijek ima svog povjerenika, što je dovelo do toga da će ipak sve zemlje članice imati svog povjernika u Europskoj komisiji.

Konačno, dobili su znatne olakšice vezane uz poreze, što im omogućuju da i dalje budu sjedište nekih američkih kompanija za Europu.
