Iako su masovni prosvjedi protiv sudske presude kojom se gotovo u potpunosti zabranjuje pobačaj postali politički faktor u Poljskoj, pobožna katolička zemlja daleko je od toga da postane zemlja izbora.

Ankete pokazuju da Poljaci nisu nezadovoljni novim zakonom o pobačaju - među najstrožim u Europi - koji je usvojen 1993. godine kao dio kompromisa između crkve i države nakon pada komunizma. 

Pobačaj je dopušten samo u slučajevima silovanja ili incesta, kad je život majke u opasnosti ili ako postoji fetalna anomalija. Posljednju odredbu je ukinuo Ustavni sud prošli mjesec, uzrokujući val prosvjeda diljem zemlje. 

"Vidimo neočekivanu mobilizaciju mlađe generacije u ovim prosvjedima. I u toj grupi, podrška liberalnijem zakonu raste - no oni nisu većina", rekao je Adam Szostkiewicz, komentator političkih i religijskih tema. 

"Većina je godinama tiha, vjerujući da ako Crkva nešto kaže, a političari to ne propitkuju, onda to evidentno mora biti tako", rekao je agenciji AFP.

Samo 22 posto Poljaka suglasno je s pobačajem na zahtjev, sudeći prema anketi koju je prošli proveo nezavisni Kantar. 62 posto ljudi smatra da pobačaj treba biti dostupan u nekim slučajevima, dok je 11 posto njih za potpunu zabranu.

Prema sociologinji Katarzyni Zielinskoj, povezanost Poljaka s katoličanstvom, kao i konzervativna obitelj i spolne uloge, ukorijenjene su u komunističku prošlost.

"Nije bilo seksualne revolucije u Poljskoj. Naprotiv, doživjeli smo vjerski uzlet, jer se mobilizacija protiv komunističkog režima vezala uz religiju."

Pod komunizmom, kad je Poljska imala liberalni zakon o pobačaju, a kontracepcijske mogućnosti su bile nedostupne ili neefikasne,  masovno su se izvodili pobačaji.

Danas se u ovoj EU članici koja broji 38 milijuna stanovnika izvede manje od 2000 legalnih pobačaja godišnje, prema službenim statistikama. Grupe za ženska prava procjenjuju da oko 200 tisuća žena izvede pobačaj ilegalno ili u inozemstvu.

Stručnjakinja za društvena pitanja, Inga Koralewska, rekla je AFP-u da je komunistički režim liberalizirao pobačaj ne zbog ženskih prava, nego iz političkih razloga, vjerojatno kako "bi se stavilo sol na ranu Crkvi, temelju poljskog identiteta" i savezniku tadašnje opozicije. 

Kad je komunizam pao, Crkva je bila snažna i efikasna, dok su poljske institucije bile u zbrci, te su joj dopustile da igra aktivnu ulogu u oblikovanju trenutnog zakona o pobačaju.

Tada, Poljaci su imali liberalnije poglede na pobačaj. Godine 1992.  47 posto Poljaka vjerovalo je da bi pobačaj trebao biti dopušten u teškim financijskim okolnostima, prema institutu CBOS. Do 2016. godine, ta podrška je pala na 14 posto.

Smanjenje može biti pripisano nekolicini faktora, uključujući i tendenciji da zakoni oblikuju stavove, kao i društveni odgovor na činjenicu da su političari - čak i oni na ljevici - bili neskloni pozabaviti se problematikom iz straha da Crkva od njih ne odvrati glasače.

Zielinska je rekla da je impuls prosvjeda počeo s manjim prosvjedima 2016. godine protiv prijedloga postrožavanja zakona, kad su žene počele govoriti o svojim pobačajima.

"Možda je ovo korak koji će nas odvesti u liberalnijem smjeru", dodala je.

Szostkiewicz je rekao da je "radikalizacija" poljskih liberala značajan napredak.

"Dosta im je tišine većine, zasićeni su miješanjem crkve - u tandemu s državom - u njihove privatne stvari te javno iznose svoj bijes", dodao je.

"Vidim to kao znak da ova će ova principijelna, radikalna skupina dobiti na snazi, te da će imati utjecaj na šire javno mnijenje. No hoće li se to dogoditi sada ili u bliskoj budućnosti? Ne znam."

Iako su masovni prosvjedi protiv sudske presude kojom se gotovo u potpunosti zabranjuje pobačaj postali politički faktor u Poljskoj, pobožna katolička zemlja daleko je od toga da postane zemlja izbora.

Ankete pokazuju da Poljaci nisu nezadovoljni novim zakonom o pobačaju - među najstrožim u Europi - koji je usvojen 1993. godine kao dio kompromisa između crkve i države nakon pada komunizma. 

Pobačaj je dopušten samo u slučajevima silovanja ili incesta, kad je život majke u opasnosti ili ako postoji fetalna anomalija. Posljednju odredbu je ukinuo Ustavni sud prošli mjesec, uzrokujući val prosvjeda diljem zemlje. 

"Vidimo neočekivanu mobilizaciju mlađe generacije u ovim prosvjedima. I u toj grupi, podrška liberalnijem zakonu raste - no oni nisu većina", rekao je Adam Szostkiewicz, komentator političkih i religijskih tema. 

"Većina je godinama tiha, vjerujući da ako Crkva nešto kaže, a političari to ne propitkuju, onda to evidentno mora biti tako", rekao je agenciji AFP.

Samo 22 posto Poljaka suglasno je s pobačajem na zahtjev, sudeći prema anketi koju je prošli proveo nezavisni Kantar. 62 posto ljudi smatra da pobačaj treba biti dostupan u nekim slučajevima, dok je 11 posto njih za potpunu zabranu.

Prema sociologinji Katarzyni Zielinskoj, povezanost Poljaka s katoličanstvom, kao i konzervativna obitelj i spolne uloge, ukorijenjene su u komunističku prošlost.

"Nije bilo seksualne revolucije u Poljskoj. Naprotiv, doživjeli smo vjerski uzlet, jer se mobilizacija protiv komunističkog režima vezala uz religiju."

Pod komunizmom, kad je Poljska imala liberalni zakon o pobačaju, a kontracepcijske mogućnosti su bile nedostupne ili neefikasne,  masovno su se izvodili pobačaji.

Danas se u ovoj EU članici koja broji 38 milijuna stanovnika izvede manje od 2000 legalnih pobačaja godišnje, prema službenim statistikama. Grupe za ženska prava procjenjuju da oko 200 tisuća žena izvede pobačaj ilegalno ili u inozemstvu.

Stručnjakinja za društvena pitanja, Inga Koralewska, rekla je AFP-u da je komunistički režim liberalizirao pobačaj ne zbog ženskih prava, nego iz političkih razloga, vjerojatno kako "bi se stavilo sol na ranu Crkvi, temelju poljskog identiteta" i savezniku tadašnje opozicije. 

Kad je komunizam pao, Crkva je bila snažna i efikasna, dok su poljske institucije bile u zbrci, te su joj dopustile da igra aktivnu ulogu u oblikovanju trenutnog zakona o pobačaju.

Tada, Poljaci su imali liberalnije poglede na pobačaj. Godine 1992.  47 posto Poljaka vjerovalo je da bi pobačaj trebao biti dopušten u teškim financijskim okolnostima, prema institutu CBOS. Do 2016. godine, ta podrška je pala na 14 posto.

Smanjenje može biti pripisano nekolicini faktora, uključujući i tendenciji da zakoni oblikuju stavove, kao i društveni odgovor na činjenicu da su političari - čak i oni na ljevici - bili neskloni pozabaviti se problematikom iz straha da Crkva od njih ne odvrati glasače.

Zielinska je rekla da je impuls prosvjeda počeo s manjim prosvjedima 2016. godine protiv prijedloga postrožavanja zakona, kad su žene počele govoriti o svojim pobačajima.

"Možda je ovo korak koji će nas odvesti u liberalnijem smjeru", dodala je.

Szostkiewicz je rekao da je "radikalizacija" poljskih liberala značajan napredak.

"Dosta im je tišine većine, zasićeni su miješanjem crkve - u tandemu s državom - u njihove privatne stvari te javno iznose svoj bijes", dodao je.

"Vidim to kao znak da ova će ova principijelna, radikalna skupina dobiti na snazi, te da će imati utjecaj na šire javno mnijenje. No hoće li se to dogoditi sada ili u bliskoj budućnosti? Ne znam."

Iako su masovni prosvjedi protiv sudske presude kojom se gotovo u potpunosti zabranjuje pobačaj postali politički faktor u Poljskoj, pobožna katolička zemlja daleko je od toga da postane zemlja izbora.

Ankete pokazuju da Poljaci nisu nezadovoljni novim zakonom o pobačaju - među najstrožim u Europi - koji je usvojen 1993. godine kao dio kompromisa između crkve i države nakon pada komunizma. 

Pobačaj je dopušten samo u slučajevima silovanja ili incesta, kad je život majke u opasnosti ili ako postoji fetalna anomalija. Posljednju odredbu je ukinuo Ustavni sud prošli mjesec, uzrokujući val prosvjeda diljem zemlje. 

"Vidimo neočekivanu mobilizaciju mlađe generacije u ovim prosvjedima. I u toj grupi, podrška liberalnijem zakonu raste - no oni nisu većina", rekao je Adam S...
