Radnici grčkih željeznica u petak su produljili štrajk na dva dana, a zbog sudara dvaju vlakova u kojima je poginulo 57 ljudi, većinom studenti, bijes javnosti ključa i najavljeno je nekoliko prosvjeda.

U utorak navečer, kod grada Larise, 534 kilometra sjeverno od Atene, dogodila se nesreća kada se brzi putnički vlak s više od 350 putnika koji je vozio prema Solunu zaletio u teretni vlak koji je dolazio iz suprotnog smjera na istoj pruzi, izletjevši nakon toga iz tračnica i zapalivši se.

Vlada je pod oštrim kritikama zbog stanja željezničkog sustava. Nakon nesreće je pokrenuta istraga i uhićen je šef postaje. Istražitelji, naime, pokušavaju otkriti zašto su dva vlaka bila na istoj tračnici.

"Sindikati su upozoravali na loše stanje željeznica godinama, ali nitko to nije uzeo za ozbiljno", priopćio je glavni sindikat radnika željeznice koji također traži sastanak s novim ministrom prometa Giorgosom Gerapetritisom. 

Gerapetritis je u četvrtak rekao da dužnost preuzima sa zadatkom da istraži najsmrtonosniju željezničku nesreću u zemlji, modernizira oštećeni željeznički sustav i uspostavi sigurnost u željezničkom prometu.

Sindikat traži točan vremenski okvir za provedbu sigurnosnih protokola, a zbog činjenice da su se dva vlaka našla na istim tračnicama traže da se posebno riješe problemi s održavanjem vlakova i neispravnom signalizacijom.

Na mjestu nesreće se nalazi teška mehanizacija, a dizalicama se uklanjaju uništeni vagoni.

Za sada se ne zna da li ima još nestalih i koliko. Ispred bolnice u Larisi, žena imenom Katerina, čiji brat još uvijek nije identificiran, vikala je "Ubojice, ubojice!". Kao i mnogi drugi, i ona je dala svoj DNK uzorak kako bi pronašla svog brata.

Žena koja je u nesreći izgubila muža i dijete nije dala DNK. "Što će identificirati. Pepeo?", rekla je u suzama,

U Grčkoj i dalje vlada šok i nevjerica zbog stravične nesreće, a obitelj i prijatelji žele znati kako se takva nesreća uopće mogla dogoditi. Njihov bijes je usmjeran na željezničku kompaniju i vladu.

Vlada je zbog nesreće proglasila trodnevnu žalost. U Ateni je u petak najavljeno više prosvjeda oko podne i navečer.

Katastrofalna željeznička nesreća u Grčkoj ponovno je otvorila pitanje privatizacije grčkih željeznica provedene 2017. u sklopu europskog paketa spašavanja zemlje koja je tada plesala na rubu bankrota te su joj bile nametnute stroge mjere štednje.

Grčki nacionalni željeznički prijevoznik TrainOSE prodan je talijanskom državnom prijevozniku Ferrovie dello Stato za 45 milijuna eura.

Ugovor o privatizaciji nikad nije objavljen i poznato je jedino to da su Talijani svake godine dobivali 50 milijuna eura za održavanje linija. 

TrainOSE pod Talijanima si je osigurao pravo da do 2024. ne plaća nikakvu odštetu putnicima u slučajevima nesreće.

Radnici grčkih željeznica u petak su produljili štrajk na dva dana, a zbog sudara dvaju vlakova u kojima je poginulo 57 ljudi, većinom studenti, bijes javnosti ključa i najavljeno je nekoliko prosvjeda.

U utorak navečer, kod grada Larise, 534 kilometra sjeverno od Atene, dogodila se nesreća kada se brzi putnički vlak s više od 350 putnika koji je vozio prema Solunu zaletio u teretni vlak koji je dolazio iz suprotnog smjera na istoj pruzi, izletjevši nakon toga iz tračnica i zapalivši se.

Vlada je pod oštrim kritikama zbog stanja željezničkog sustava. Nakon nesreće je pokrenuta istraga i uhićen je šef postaje. Istražitelji, naime, pokušavaju otkriti zašto su dva vlaka bila na istoj tračnici.

"Sindikati su upozoravali na loše stanje željeznica godinama, ali nitko to nije uzeo za ozbiljno", priopćio je glavni sindikat radnika željeznice koji također traži sastanak s novim ministrom prometa Giorgosom Gerapetritisom. 

Gerapetritis je u četvrtak rekao da dužnost preuzima sa zadatkom da istraži najsmrtonosniju željezničku nesreću u zemlji, modernizira oštećeni željeznički sustav i uspostavi sigurnost u željezničkom prometu.

Sindikat traži točan vremenski okvir za provedbu sigurnosnih protokola, a zbog činjenice da su se dva vlaka našla na istim tračnicama traže da se posebno riješe problemi s održavanjem vlakova i neispravnom signalizacijom.

Na mjestu nesreće se nalazi teška mehanizacija, a dizalicama se uklanjaju uništeni vagoni.

Za sada se ne zna da li ima još nestalih i koliko. Ispred bolnice u Larisi, žena imenom Katerina, čiji brat još uvijek nije identificiran, vikala je "Ubojice, ubojice!". Kao i mnogi drugi, i ona je dala svoj DNK uzorak kako bi pronašla svog brata.

Žena koja je u nesreći izgubila muža i dijete nije dala DNK. "Što će identificirati. Pepeo?", rekla je u suzama,

U Grčkoj i dalje vlada šok i nevjerica zbog stravične nesreće, a obitelj i prijatelji žele znati kako se takva nesreća uopće mogla dogoditi. Njihov bijes je usmjeran na željezničku kompaniju i vladu.

Vlada je zbog nesreće proglasila trodnevnu žalost. U Ateni je u petak najavljeno više prosvjeda oko podne i navečer.

Katastrofalna željeznička nesreća u Grčkoj ponovno je otvorila pitanje privatizacije grčkih željeznica provedene 2017. u sklopu europskog paketa spašavanja zemlje koja je tada plesala na rubu bankrota te su joj bile nametnute stroge mjere štednje.

Grčki nacionalni željeznički prijevoznik TrainOSE prodan je talijanskom državnom prijevozniku Ferrovie dello Stato za 45 milijuna eura.

Ugovor o privatizaciji nikad nije objavljen i poznato je jedino to da su Talijani svake godine dobivali 50 milijuna eura za održavanje linija. 

TrainOSE pod Talijanima si je osigurao pravo da do 2024. ne plaća nikakvu odštetu putnicima u slučajevima nesreće.

Iako je u Grčkoj proglašena trodnevna žalost, najavljeni su novi prosvjedi, a nastavlja se i štrajk željezničara

Radnici grčkih željeznica u petak su produljili štrajk na dva dana, a zbog sudara dvaju vlakova u kojima je poginulo 57 ljudi, većinom studenti, bijes javnosti ključa i najavljeno je nekoliko prosvjeda.

U utorak navečer, kod grada Larise, 534 kilometra sjeverno od Atene, dogodila se nesreća kada se brzi putnički vlak s više od 350 putnika koji je vozio prema Solunu zaletio u teretni vlak koji je dolazio iz suprotnog smjera na istoj pruzi, izletjevši nakon toga iz tračnica i zapalivši se.

Vlada je pod oštrim kritikama zbog stanja željezničkog sustava. Nakon nesreće je pokrenuta istraga i uhićen je šef postaje. Istražitelji, naime, pokušavaju otkriti zašto su dva vlaka bila na istoj tračnici.
