Islandski premijer pozvao je u petak na prijevremene izbore nakon što je jedna stranka vladajuće koalicije napustila vladu oformljenu prije manje od devet mjeseci.

Odlazeća liberalna stranka "Svijetla budućnost" je kao razlog izlaska iz koalicije s konzervativcima i liberalnom Reformističkom strankom navela "kršenje povjerenja" nakon što je konzervativna Stranka neovisnosti premijera Bjarnia Benediktssona navodno pokušala prikriti skandal u koji je uključen njegov otac.

Island je sada suočen s drugim prijevremenim izborima u manje od godinu dana.
"Izgubili smo većinu i ne vidim da bi je mogli vratiti. Pozivam na izbore", kazao je premijer i dodao da bi se izbori mogli održati u studenome.

Sada je na predsjedniku države Gudniju Johanessonu da donese odluku o novim izborima.
Otac premijera je ministarstvu pravosuđa napisao preporuku za svog prijatelja da mu se izbriše kriminalni dosje nakon što je osuđen za seksualno zlostavljanje djece. Ministrica Sigridur Andrsen je prvo odbila otkriti tko je napisao pismo preporuke, ali je to učinila pod pritiskom parlamentarnog odbora.

Premijer tvrdi da je koalicijske partnere o tome obavijestio kada je to mogao legalno učiniti.

Islandski premijer pozvao je u petak na prijevremene izbore nakon što je jedna stranka vladajuće koalicije napustila vladu oformljenu prije manje od devet mjeseci.

Odlazeća liberalna stranka "Svijetla budućnost" je kao razlog izlaska iz koalicije s konzervativcima i liberalnom Reformističkom strankom navela "kršenje povjerenja" nakon što je konzervativna Stranka neovisnosti premijera Bjarnia Benediktssona navodno pokušala prikriti skandal u koji je uključen njegov otac.

Island je sada suočen s drugim prijevremenim izborima u manje od godinu dana.
"Izgubili smo većinu i ne vidim da bi je mogli vratiti. Pozivam na izbore", kazao je premijer i dodao da bi se izbori mogli održati u studenome.

Sada je na predsjedniku države Gudniju Johanessonu da donese odluku o novim izborima.
Otac premijera je ministarstvu pravosuđa napisao preporuku za svog prijatelja da mu se izbriše kriminalni dosje nakon što je osuđen za seksualno zlostavljanje djece. Ministrica Sigridur Andrsen je prvo odbila otkriti tko je napisao pismo preporuke, ali je to učinila pod pritiskom parlamentarnog odbora.

Premijer tvrdi da je koalicijske partnere o tome obavijestio kada je to mogao legalno učiniti.
