Britanski parlament počeo je u utorak navečer glasati o tome hoće li poduprijeti sporazum o brexitu premijerke Therese May, a ta će odluka definirati način izlaska Velike Britanije iz Europske unije i odrediti smjer u kojem će ići njezino gospodarstvo.

May je uoči glasanja još jednom pozvala zastupnike da podrže sporazum, rekavši da se radi o povijesnoj odluci s kojom će zemlja živjeti generacijama.

"U ovome trenutku ogromna je odgovornost na svima nama jer je ovo povijesna odluka koja će odrediti budućnost naše zemlje", poručila je May.

Kako sada stvari stoje, izgledi nisu na premijerkinoj strani i da će teško dobiti odobrenje parlamenta za sporazum o brexitu koji je postigla s EU-om. Taj su sporazum kritizirale sve strane, uključujući euroskeptike, pristaše EU-a i sjevernoirsku stranku koja podupire njezinu manjinsku konzervativnu vladu.

Tijekom petodnevne rasprave zastupnici su dali naznake hoće li poduprijeti sporazum o brexitu.

Oni mogu promijeniti mišljenje prije glasanja, a neki još moraju donijeti konačnu odluku.

U parlamentu je ukupno 650 zastupnika, a premijerkina Konzervativna stranka ima 317 zastupnika. Većinu joj osigurava 10 zastupnika sjevernoirske Demokratske unionističke stranke.

Do sada je 60 zastupnika reklo da će podržati sporazum, a 165 (uključujući 51 iz Konzervativne stranke) da će mu uskratiti potporu.

U slučaju da sporazum ne dobije potporu moguće je više scenarija, od raspisivanja novih izbora, odgode roka za izlazak, novog referenduma do brexita bez sporazuma, mogućnosti koje se pribojavaju obje strane zbog kaosa koji bi mogao nastati naglim raskidanjem veza koje su stvarane tijekom 45-godišnjeg britanskog članstva. Također je moguće i odustajanje od odluke o napuštanju EU-a.

Za britanske parlamentarce najspornija je odredba o tzv. "backstopu", zaštitnom mehanizmu koji jamči da neće biti tvrde granice na irskom otoku u slučaju da se do isteka prijelaznog razdoblja ne dogovori novi sporazum koji će omogućiti da se izbjegne ponovna uspostava graničnih kontrola između Irske i Sjeverne Irske.

Britanski parlament počeo je u utorak navečer glasati o tome hoće li poduprijeti sporazum o brexitu premijerke Therese May, a ta će odluka definirati način izlaska Velike Britanije iz Europske unije i odrediti smjer u kojem će ići njezino gospodarstvo.

May je uoči glasanja još jednom pozvala zastupnike da podrže sporazum, rekavši da se radi o povijesnoj odluci s kojom će zemlja živjeti generacijama.

"U ovome trenutku ogromna je odgovornost na svima nama jer je ovo povijesna odluka koja će odrediti budućnost naše zemlje", poručila je May.

Kako sada stvari stoje, izgledi nisu na premijerkinoj strani i da će teško dobiti odobrenje parlamenta za sporazum o brexitu koji je postigla s EU-om. Taj su sporazum kritizirale sve strane, uključujući euroskeptike, pristaše EU-a i sjevernoirsku stranku koja podupire njezinu manjinsku konzervativnu vladu.

Tijekom petodnevne rasprave zastupnici su dali naznake hoće li poduprijeti sporazum o brexitu.

Oni mogu promijeniti mišljenje prije glasanja, a neki još moraju donijeti konačnu odluku.

U parlamentu je ukupno 650 zastupnika, a premijerkina Konzervativna stranka ima 317 zastupnika. Većinu joj osigurava 10 zastupnika sjevernoirske Demokratske unionističke stranke.

Do sada je 60 zastupnika reklo da će podržati sporazum, a 165 (uključujući 51 iz Konzervativne stranke) da će mu uskratiti potporu.

U slučaju da sporazum ne dobije potporu moguće je više scenarija, od raspisivanja novih izbora, odgode roka za izlazak, novog referenduma do brexita bez sporazuma, mogućnosti koje se pribojavaju obje strane zbog kaosa koji bi mogao nastati naglim raskidanjem veza koje su stvarane tijekom 45-godišnjeg britanskog članstva. Također je moguće i odustajanje od odluke o napuštanju EU-a.

Za britanske parlamentarce najspornija je odredba o tzv. "backstopu", zaštitnom mehanizmu koji jamči da neće biti tvrde granice na irskom otoku u slučaju da se do isteka prijelaznog razdoblja ne dogovori novi sporazum koji će omogućiti da se izbjegne ponovna uspostava graničnih kontrola između Irske i Sjeverne Irske.
