Dana 29. listopada, nekoliko tisuća bijesnih muškaraca upalo je u zračnu luku u Mahačkali, glavnom gradu Dagestana na pretežno muslimanskom sjevernom Kavkazu u Rusiji, piše Financial Times.

Tražili su Židove za koje se vjerovalo da su stigli iz Izraela. Policija se činila neaktivnom, slično kao tijekom neuspjele pobune Jevgenija Prigožina u lipnju. U drugom dagestanskom gradu, Khasaviurtu, rulja je tražila židovske izbjeglice navodno smještene u lokalnim hotelima.

U Karačajevo-Čerkeziji prosvjednici su tražili iseljenje svih Židova iz republike. U Naljčiku, također na sjevernom Kavkazu, zapaljen je židovski kulturni centar u izgradnji, a na njegovim zidovima ispisani su antisemitski grafiti.

Kao što se dogodilo nakon Prigožinove pobune, činilo se da je Vladimir Putin privremeno izgubio kontrolu. Ovaj put se to dogodilo na Kavkazu, gdje je Putinov uspon na vlast započeo nemilosrdnim vojnim pohodima. U oba slučaja objašnjenje je isto: entuzijasti pokušavaju pomoći vladi da odlučnije provodi svoju politiku, kako je oni tumače.

S Wagnerovom skupinom to je značilo borbu protiv Ukrajine punom snagom. S dagestanskom mafijom to je značilo otvorenu podršku Palestincima u prkosu zapadu i Izraelu. Sadašnji rat na Bliskom istoku nije prvi tijekom Putinove duge vladavine, ali su posljedice drugačije. Razlog leži u temeljito promijenjenoj vanjskoj i unutarnjoj politici Rusije.

Nakon 11. rujna, Putin je bio prvi strani čelnik koji je nazvao svog američkog kolegu Georgea W. Busha da mu izrazi sućut. Dvadeset i dvije godine kasnije, nakon Hamasovog napada na Izrael, Putin je bio oprezan, čak i dvosmislen u svojim riječima, iako se Izrael nije pridružio zapadnim sankcijama protiv Rusije i ograničio je svoju pomoć Ukrajini.

Jedan od razloga je taj što je rat protiv Ukrajine toliko promijenio Rusiju da ima drugačiji pristup arapsko-izraelskom sukobu i domaćem antisemitizmu.

Osporavajući pravo Ukrajine na postojanje, Rusija se ponaša kao arbitar i nasljednik sovjetskog i carskog imperija. Njihovo naslijeđe uključuje prijateljstva s arapskim državama, usmjerena protiv Izraela i Zapada, te neslužbeni antisemitizam u sovjetskim institucijama koji je obilježavao domaće protivnike u etničkom i kulturnom smislu. Da ne spominjemo pogrome kasnog carskog doba.

U vanjskoj politici, ovo se naslijeđe očituje u pokušajima Kremlja da okupi zemlje protiv svjetskog poretka pod zastavom antizapadnjaštva i antiimperijalizma. Unutar Rusije kritičare rata, od kojih su mnogi otišli u inozemstvo, uključujući i Izrael, označava kao nedovoljno domoljube.

Kremlj smatra da obični ljudi u Rusiji i izvan nje imaju prirodno neprijateljstvo prema liberalima, homoseksualcima, intelektualcima te političkoj, kulturnoj i financijskoj eliti, kao i da su prožeti određenim antisemitizmom.

Nakon neuspjeha ruskog munjevitog napada na Ukrajinu početkom 2022., Kremlj je bio obuzet idejom o otvaranju druge fronte. Prošle je zime pokušao s frontom plina prema Europi, te frontom žitarica potaknuvši strah od nestašice hrane u svijetu i migracijske krize.

Nadao se rasplamsanju krize oko Tajvana ili unutarnjih političkih problema u SAD-u. Sada kada se otvorila druga fronta u ratu između Izraela i Hamasa, Moskva bi se mogla nadati da će Zapadu predložiti nagodbu: "Mi ćemo vam pomoći da se izvučete iz nereda u Palestini, a vi nam pomozite učiniti isto u Ukrajini."

Međutim, donošenje odluka u Rusiji previše je degradirano da bi njezini čelnici mogli koristiti takve prilike. Zarobljeni su destruktivnim emocijama, opsjednuti pritužbama i fiksirani na osvetu. To smanjuje njihovu sposobnost da igraju konstruktivnu ulogu na Bliskom istoku. Vodeći svoju agresivnu geopolitičku igru, Kremlj je previdio posljedice kod kuće.

Njegovo intenzivno antizapadno raspoloženje izazvalo je nasilje na sjevernom Kavkazu koje je u suprotnosti sa slikom domaće harmonije koju Putin želi projicirati, piše Financial Times.

Dana 29. listopada, nekoliko tisuća bijesnih muškaraca upalo je u zračnu luku u Mahačkali, glavnom gradu Dagestana na pretežno muslimanskom sjevernom Kavkazu u Rusiji, piše Financial Times.

Tražili su Židove za koje se vjerovalo da su stigli iz Izraela. Policija se činila neaktivnom, slično kao tijekom neuspjele pobune Jevgenija Prigožina u lipnju. U drugom dagestanskom gradu, Khasaviurtu, rulja je tražila židovske izbjeglice navodno smještene u lokalnim hotelima.

U Karačajevo-Čerkeziji prosvjednici su tražili iseljenje svih Židova iz republike. U Naljčiku, također na sjevernom Kavkazu, zapaljen je židovski kulturni centar u izgradnji, a na njegovim zidovima ispisani su antisemitski grafiti.

Kao što se dogodilo nakon Prigožinove pobune, činilo se da je Vladimir Putin privremeno izgubio kontrolu. Ovaj put se to dogodilo na Kavkazu, gdje je Putinov uspon na vlast započeo nemilosrdnim vojnim pohodima. U oba slučaja objašnjenje je isto: entuzijasti pokušavaju pomoći vladi da odlučnije provodi svoju politiku, kako je oni tumače.

S Wagnerovom skupinom to je značilo borbu protiv Ukrajine punom snagom. S dagestanskom mafijom to je značilo otvorenu podršku Palestincima u prkosu zapadu i Izraelu. Sadašnji rat na Bliskom istoku nije prvi tijekom Putinove duge vladavine, ali su posljedice drugačije. Razlog leži u temeljito promijenjenoj vanjskoj i unutarnjoj politici Rusije.

Nakon 11. rujna, Putin je bio prvi strani čelnik koji je nazvao svog američkog kolegu Georgea W. Busha da mu izrazi sućut. Dvadeset i dvije godine kasnije, nakon Hamasovog napada na Izrael, Putin je bio oprezan, čak i dvosmislen u svojim riječima, iako se Izrael nije pridružio zapadnim sankcijama protiv Rusije i ograničio je svoju pomoć Ukrajini.

Jedan od razloga je taj što je rat protiv Ukrajine toliko promijenio Rusiju da ima drugačiji pristup arapsko-izraelskom sukobu i domaćem antisemitizmu.

Osporavajući pravo Ukrajine na postojanje, Rusija se ponaša kao arbitar i nasljednik sovjetskog i carskog imperija. Njihovo naslijeđe uključuje prijateljstva s arapskim državama, usmjerena protiv Izraela i Zapada, te neslužbeni antisemitizam u sovjetskim institucijama koji je obilježavao domaće protivnike u etničkom i kulturnom smislu. Da ne spominjemo pogrome kasnog carskog doba.

U vanjskoj politici, ovo se naslijeđe očituje u pokušajima Kremlja da okupi zemlje protiv svjetskog poretka pod zastavom antizapadnjaštva i antiimperijalizma. Unutar Rusije kritičare rata, od kojih su mnogi otišli u inozemstvo, uključujući i Izrael, označava kao nedovoljno domoljube.

Kremlj smatra da obični ljudi u Rusiji i izvan nje imaju prirodno neprijateljstvo prema liberalima, homoseksualcima, intelektualcima te političkoj, kulturnoj i financijskoj eliti, kao i da su prožeti određenim antisemitizmom.

Nakon neuspjeha ruskog munjevitog napada na Ukrajinu početkom 2022., Kremlj je bio obuzet idejom o otvaranju druge fronte. Prošle je zime pokušao s frontom plina prema Europi, te frontom žitarica potaknuvši strah od nestašice hrane u svijetu i migracijske krize.

Nadao se rasplamsanju krize oko Tajvana ili unutarnjih političkih problema u SAD-u. Sada kada se otvorila druga fronta u ratu između Izraela i Hamasa, Moskva bi se mogla nadati da će Zapadu predložiti nagodbu: "Mi ćemo vam pomoći da se izvučete iz nereda u Palestini, a vi nam pomozite učiniti isto u Ukrajini."

Međutim, donošenje odluka u Rusiji previše je degradirano da bi njezini čelnici mogli koristiti takve prilike. Zarobljeni su destruktivnim emocijama, opsjednuti pritužbama i fiksirani na osvetu. To smanjuje njihovu sposobnost da igraju konstruktivnu ulogu na Bliskom istoku. Vodeći svoju agresivnu geopolitičku igru, Kremlj je previdio posljedice kod kuće.

Njegovo intenzivno antizapadno raspoloženje izazvalo je nasilje na sjevernom Kavkazu koje je u suprotnosti sa slikom domaće harmonije koju Putin želi projicirati, piše Financial Times.

Dana 29. listopada, nekoliko tisuća bijesnih muškaraca upalo je u zračnu luku u Mahačkali, glavnom gradu Dagestana na pretežno muslimanskom sjevernom Kavkazu u Rusiji, piše Financial Times.

Tražili su Židove za koje se vjerovalo da su stigli iz Izraela. Policija se činila neaktivnom, slično kao tijekom neuspjele pobune Jevgenija Prigožina u lipnju. U drugom dagestanskom gradu, Khasaviurtu, rulja je tražila židovske izbjeglice navodno smještene u lokalnim hotelima.

U Karačajevo-Čerkeziji prosvjednici su tražili iseljenje svih Židova iz republike. U Naljčiku, također na sjevernom Kavkazu, zapaljen je židovski kulturni centar u izgradnji, a na njegovim zidovima ispisani su antisemitski grafiti.
