Izvršni direktori velikih američkih putničkih i kargo avioprijevoznika uputili su pismo na adrese više državnih institucija u kojem su izrazili zabrinutost za sigurnost letova od srijede, kada bi kompanije AT&T i Vairajzon trebale početi s uvođenjem usluge 5G mreže.
Oni su u pismu upozorili da avijaciji prijeti "katastrofalna” kriza za manje od 36 sati, jer bi nova C-Band 5G usluga mogla učiniti znatan broj širokotrupnih aviona neupotrebljivim, izazvati "kaos" na letovima u SAD i da bi "desetine tisuća Amerikanaca mogli ostati zaglavljeni na aerodromima u inozemstvu".
"Osim ako naše glavne zračne luke ne budu raščišćene za letove, ogromna većina putničkih i teretnih aviona će biti prizemljena", napisali su izvršni direktori American Airlinesa, Delta Airlinesa, United Airlinesa, Southwest Airlinesa i drugih kompanija u pismu koje donosi Reuters, a prenosi Sputnik.

"To znači da bi u danu poput jučerašnjeg više od 1.100 letova i 100.000 putnika bilo podvrgnuto otkazivanju, preusmjeravanju ili kašnjenju", upozorava se u pismu.
Federalna uprava za zrakoplovstvo (FAA) upozorila je da bi potencijalno miješanje frekvencija moglo utjecati na osjetljive instrumente u avionu kao što su visinomjeri i znatno ometati letačke operacije pri slaboj vidljivosti.

Aviokompanije su kasno u ponedeljak razmatrale da li da počnu otkazivati neke međunarodne letove za SAD koji su prema rasporedu letenja planirani za srijedu.
U pismu, koje su takođe potpisali UPS Airlines, Allaska Air, Atlas Air, JetBlue Airways i FedEx Express, naglašava se da je neophodna hitna akcija jer će "iskreno govoreći, nacionalna trgovina stati".

Avijacija za Ameriku, grupa koja je organizirala potpisivanje pisma, odbila je komentar, a iz FAA su saopćili da će "nastaviti osiguravati putovanja jer kompanije za bežični internet uvode 5G mrežu".
Iz FAA su poručili da nastavljaju raditi s avioindustrijom i kompanijama za bežični internet u nastojanju da se ograniče kašnjenja i otkazivanja letova zbog 5G.

Izvršni direktori velikih američkih putničkih i kargo avioprijevoznika uputili su pismo na adrese više državnih institucija u kojem su izrazili zabrinutost za sigurnost letova od srijede, kada bi kompanije AT&T i Vairajzon trebale početi s uvođenjem usluge 5G mreže.
Oni su u pismu upozorili da avijaciji prijeti "katastrofalna” kriza za manje od 36 sati, jer bi nova C-Band 5G usluga mogla učiniti znatan broj širokotrupnih aviona neupotrebljivim, izazvati "kaos" na letovima u SAD i da bi "desetine tisuća Amerikanaca mogli ostati zaglavljeni na aerodromima u inozemstvu".
"Osim ako naše glavne zračne luke ne budu raščišćene za letove, ogromna većina putničkih i teretnih aviona će biti prizemljena", napisali su izvršni direktori American Airlinesa, Delta Airlinesa, United Airlinesa, Southwest Airlinesa i drugih kompanija u pismu koje donosi Reuters, a prenosi Sputnik.

"To znači da bi u danu poput jučerašnjeg više od 1.100 letova i 100.000 putnika bilo podvrgnuto otkazivanju, preusmjeravanju ili kašnjenju", upozorava se u pismu.
Federalna uprava za zrakoplovstvo (FAA) upozorila je da bi potencijalno miješanje frekvencija moglo utjecati na osjetljive instrumente u avionu kao što su visinomjeri i znatno ometati letačke operacije pri slaboj vidljivosti.
'nacionalna trgovina u opasnosti'
Aviokompanije su kasno u ponedeljak razmatrale da li da počnu otkazivati neke međunarodne letove za SAD koji su prema rasporedu letenja planirani za srijedu.
U pismu, koje su takođe potpisali UPS Airlines, Allaska Air, Atlas Air, JetBlue Airways i FedEx Express, naglašava se da je neophodna hitna akcija jer će "iskreno govoreći, nacionalna trgovina stati".
Pismo je upućeno direktoru Nacionalnog ekonomskog savjeta Bijele kuće Brianu Deaseu, ministru za transport Pittu Butidgeu, upravniku FAA Steve Dicksonu i predsjednici Federalne komisije za komunikacije (FČ) Jessici Rosenworsel.

Avijacija za Ameriku, grupa koja je organizirala potpisivanje pisma, odbila je komentar, a iz FAA su saopćili da će "nastaviti osiguravati putovanja jer kompanije za bežični internet uvode 5G mrežu".
Iz FAA su poručili da nastavljaju raditi s avioindustrijom i kompanijama za bežični internet u nastojanju da se ograniče kašnjenja i otkazivanja letova zbog 5G.
