Župa Roško Polje obilježit će blagdan svoga zaštitnika svetoga Ivana Krstitelja na posebno svečan način.

Ovo je 250. obljetnica obnove te župe, 150. obljetnica izgradnje crkve na kojoj je zazvonilo i prvo zvono u mostarsko–duvanjskoj biskupiji, teško tek devet kilograma, koje je do danas sačuvano.

Misno slavlje predvodit će u utorak dr. Ratko Perić, mostarsko-duvanjski biskup.

Folklor i balun

Inače, svečanosti traju od 15. lipnja. Uz svete mise, održano je niz kulturnih manifestacija, a Rožane su posjetila kulturno-umjetnička društva iz Hercegovine, Slavonije i Dalmacije, priređen je susret planinara, hercegovačkih frama, nogometaša, župnih zborova.

Roško Polje je ovih dana oživjelo kao nikada. Ovo staro i povijesno naselje imalo je prije četrdeset godina više od tri tisuće stanovnika, a danas ih je tek šest stotina, mahom starije čeljadi.

Zavičajni Rožani ipak se ne daju, a tijekom priprema za proslavu Ivandana napravili su 3,5 kilometara pristupnih cesta do roškoga groblja, gdje se održava proslava.

Misa i dernek

- Malo tko ima ljepše groblje i ledine gdje se održavaju misa i dernek, a lošije prilazne putove - kaže roški župnik fra Marko Jukić, koji ovih dana ima pune ruke posla. Zato smo u sklopu priprema za svečanost napravili 3,5 kilometara putova, obilježili ih i pustili u promet.

A ovih nam je dana napokon Eronet postavio odašiljač za mobitel. Baš svi su se Rožani odazvali tim akcijama, a ponajviše su učinili Grgo Radoš, Frano Krajina, Mate Ljubas, Stipan Krajina, Ivan Zelenika i Ivan Tanjić koji je pomogao da nam cestu trasiraju strojevi i vojnici Oružanih snaga BiH.

Zahvaljujemo i odseljenim Rožanima koji su pomogli svojim prilozima. Rožani očekuju da će se na njihovoj svečanosti u utorak naći više tisuća vjernika, a svoj su dolazak najavili i brojni odseljeni Rožani, od Đakova, Zagreba i Splita, do Berlina, Amerike i Australije.

Župa Roško Polje obilježit će blagdan svoga zaštitnika svetoga Ivana Krstitelja na posebno svečan način.

Ovo je 250. obljetnica obnove te župe, 150. obljetnica izgradnje crkve na kojoj je zazvonilo i prvo zvono u mostarsko–duvanjskoj biskupiji, teško tek devet kilograma, koje je do danas sačuvano.

Misno slavlje predvodit će u utorak dr. Ratko Perić, mostarsko-duvanjski biskup.

Folklor i balun

Inače, svečanosti traju od 15. lipnja. Uz svete mise, održano je niz kulturnih manifestacija, a Rožane su posjetila kulturno-umjetnička društva iz Hercegovine, Slavonije i Dalmacije, priređen je susret planinara, hercegovačkih frama, nogometaša, župnih zborova.

Roško Polje je ovih dana oživjelo kao nikada. Ovo staro i povijesno naselje imalo je prije četrdeset godina više od tri tisuće stanovnika, a danas ih je tek šest stotina, mahom starije čeljadi.

Zavičajni Rožani ipak se ne daju, a tijekom priprema za proslavu Ivandana napravili su 3,5 kilometara pristupnih cesta do roškoga groblja, gdje se održava proslava.

Misa i dernek

- Malo tko ima ljepše groblje i ledine gdje se održavaju misa i dernek, a lošije prilazne putove - kaže roški župnik fra Marko Jukić, koji ovih dana ima pune ruke posla. Zato smo u sklopu priprema za svečanost napravili 3,5 kilometara putova, obilježili ih i pustili u promet.

A ovih nam je dana napokon Eronet postavio odašiljač za mobitel. Baš svi su se Rožani odazvali tim akcijama, a ponajviše su učinili Grgo Radoš, Frano Krajina, Mate Ljubas, Stipan Krajina, Ivan Zelenika i Ivan Tanjić koji je pomogao da nam cestu trasiraju strojevi i vojnici Oružanih snaga BiH.

Zahvaljujemo i odseljenim Rožanima koji su pomogli svojim prilozima. Rožani očekuju da će se na njihovoj svečanosti u utorak naći više tisuća vjernika, a svoj su dolazak najavili i brojni odseljeni Rožani, od Đakova, Zagreba i Splita, do Berlina, Amerike i Australije.
