Sudsko vijeće Specijalnog suda u Beogradu osudilo je u četvrtak bivše pripadnike srbijanske Službe državne sigurnosti (SDB) na ukupno 100 godina zatvora zbog ubojstva novinara Slavka Ćuruvije. Bivši šef srpske tajne službe Rade Marković i njegov suradnik Milan Radonjić, dobili su po 30 godina zatvora, a dvojica izvršitelja ubojstva, od kojih je jedan u bijegu po 20 godina. Presuda još nije pravomoćna. Sud je praktički potvrdio da se radilo o državnom ubojstvu u kojem su sudjelovali agenti Miloševićeva režima.    

Ovo je drugo suđenje, a iste ova kazne izrečene su i u prvom suđenju u travnju 2019., a godinu dana kasnije Žalbeni sud je ukinuo presude i naložio novo suđenje.

Slavko Ćuruvija ubijen je usred bijela dana 11. travnja 1999. godine u centru Beograda, ispred ulaza u zgradu u kojoj je živio. Dvojica maskiranih napadača upucala su ga u prolazu dok je bio u pratnji partnerice, povjesničarke Branke Prpe. U optužnici se navodi da je atentator rafalnom paljbom pokosio novinara s udaljenosti od metar i pol, nakon čega je Ćuruvija pao, a potom je ponovo pucao na njega, iz neposredne blizine. Ozlijeđena je i Branka Prpa koju je Ratko Romić udario pištoljem u glavu.

Ćuruvija je sredinom devedesetih godina osnovao prve privatne novine u Miloševićevoj Srbiji. Nakon što je napustio mjesto glavnog i odgovornog urednika u državnom listu „Borba”, osnovao je „Nedeljni telegraf”, početkom 1996. godine i prvi nezavisni dnevnik u Srbiji “Dnevni telegraf”, a zatim i tjednik „Evropljanin“. Bio je Miloševićev kritičar, a prema posebnom zakonu o medijima, "Dnevni telegraf" je, zajedno s nekoliko drugih medija, zabranjen u listopadu 1998. godine, nakon čega je tiskan u Crnoj Gori i distribuiran u Srbiji putem mreže izdavača.

U priči oko Slavka Ćuruvije zanimljiva je i uloga sadašnjeg predsjednika Srbije. Naime, u vrijeme sukoba na Kosovu 1998. Aleksandar Vučić je bio ministar informiranja i koristio je situaciju da uz pomoć zakona uništi sve slobodne medije koji su bili kritični prema tadašnjem srpskom režimu, nazivajući ih slugama NATO-a, stranim agenturama i plaćenicima, urotnicima protiv srpskog naroda i države. Ubrzo nakon što je Vučić u tom stilu otvoreno prijetio novinaru Slavku Ćuruviji, on je ubijen na kućnom pragu.

U prvom suđenju u optužnici je državno tužiteljstvo ustvrdilo: „Ćuruvija je morao umrijeti kako bi Miloševićev režim opstao."

Na suđenju je utvrđeno da je Miloševićeva sigurnosna služba mjesecima pratila Ćuruviju prije nego što je ubijen.

“Ne samo da je ubijen, nego je imao cijeli državni aparat na vratu nekoliko godina prije. Znamo da je prisluškivan barem od listopada 1998., a neki kažu i od ljeta te godine. Slavko je bio jedan od najboljih novinara u vrijeme Borbe, stare redakcije koja je zapošljavala 200-tinjak novinara“, podsjetio je beogradski novinar Perica Gunjić, danas glavni urednik internetskog portala Cenzolovka. Kći ubijenog Ćuruvije, Jelena pozdravila je presudu i izrazila nadu da će je Žalbeni sud potvrditi.

„Jedino se pitam zašto smo gubili vrijeme ovih godina da bismo dobili identičnu presudu kada je sve moglo završiti i ranije. Ovo je samo zarez, toga smo svi svjesni. Kao i prošli put, mogu očekivati ​​da će biti žalbe na ovu presudu. Čekamo što će ovaj put reći Žalbeni sud i kakvu će presudu donijeti ovaj put”, komentirala je Jelena Ćuruvija.

Predsjednik Povjerenstva za istraživanje ubojstava novinara Veran Matić također je zadovoljan presudom.

- Ovo je vrlo važna poruka, prije svega za obitelj i kolege Slavka Ćuruvije, ali i za sve novinare u Srbiji, zaključio je.

Sudsko vijeće Specijalnog suda u Beogradu osudilo je u četvrtak bivše pripadnike srbijanske Službe državne sigurnosti (SDB) na ukupno 100 godina zatvora zbog ubojstva novinara Slavka Ćuruvije. Bivši šef srpske tajne službe Rade Marković i njegov suradnik Milan Radonjić, dobili su po 30 godina zatvora, a dvojica izvršitelja ubojstva, od kojih je jedan u bijegu po 20 godina. Presuda još nije pravomoćna. Sud je praktički potvrdio da se radilo o državnom ubojstvu u kojem su sudjelovali agenti Miloševićeva režima.    

Ovo je drugo suđenje, a iste ova kazne izrečene su i u prvom suđenju u travnju 2019., a godinu dana kasnije Žalbeni sud je ukinuo presude i naložio novo suđenje.

Slavko Ćuruvija ubijen je usred bijela dana 11. travnja 1999. godine u centru Beograda, ispred ulaza u zgradu u kojoj je živio. Dvojica maskiranih napadača upucala su ga u prolazu dok je bio u pratnji partnerice, povjesničarke Branke Prpe. U optužnici se navodi da je atentator rafalnom paljbom pokosio novinara s udaljenosti od metar i pol, nakon čega je Ćuruvija pao, a potom je ponovo pucao na njega, iz neposredne blizine. Ozlijeđena je i Branka Prpa koju je Ratko Romić udario pištoljem u glavu.

Ćuruvija je sredinom devedesetih godina osnovao prve privatne novine u Miloševićevoj Srbiji. Nakon što je napustio mjesto glavnog i odgovornog urednika u državnom listu „Borba”, osnovao je „Nedeljni telegraf”, početkom 1996. godine i prvi nezavisni dnevnik u Srbiji “Dnevni telegraf”, a zatim i tjednik „Evropljanin“. Bio je Miloševićev kritičar, a prema posebnom zakonu o medijima, "Dnevni telegraf" je, zajedno s nekoliko drugih medija, zabranjen u listopadu 1998. godine, nakon čega je tiskan u Crnoj Gori i distribuiran u Srbiji putem mreže izdavača.

U priči oko Slavka Ćuruvije zanimljiva je i uloga sadašnjeg predsjednika Srbije. Naime, u vrijeme sukoba na Kosovu 1998. Aleksandar Vučić je bio ministar informiranja i koristio je situaciju da uz pomoć zakona uništi sve slobodne medije koji su bili kritični prema tadašnjem srpskom režimu, nazivajući ih slugama NATO-a, stranim agenturama i plaćenicima, urotnicima protiv srpskog naroda i države. Ubrzo nakon što je Vučić u tom stilu otvoreno prijetio novinaru Slavku Ćuruviji, on je ubijen na kućnom pragu.

U prvom suđenju u optužnici je državno tužiteljstvo ustvrdilo: „Ćuruvija je morao umrijeti kako bi Miloševićev režim opstao."

Na suđenju je utvrđeno da je Miloševićeva sigurnosna služba mjesecima pratila Ćuruviju prije nego što je ubijen.

“Ne samo da je ubijen, nego je imao cijeli državni aparat na vratu nekoliko godina prije. Znamo da je prisluškivan barem od listopada 1998., a neki kažu i od ljeta te godine. Slavko je bio jedan od najboljih novinara u vrijeme Borbe, stare redakcije koja je zapošljavala 200-tinjak novinara“, podsjetio je beogradski novinar Perica Gunjić, danas glavni urednik internetskog portala Cenzolovka. Kći ubijenog Ćuruvije, Jelena pozdravila je presudu i izrazila nadu da će je Žalbeni sud potvrditi.

„Jedino se pitam zašto smo gubili vrijeme ovih godina da bismo dobili identičnu presudu kada je sve moglo završiti i ranije. Ovo je samo zarez, toga smo svi svjesni. Kao i prošli put, mogu očekivati ​​da će biti žalbe na ovu presudu. Čekamo što će ovaj put reći Žalbeni sud i kakvu će presudu donijeti ovaj put”, komentirala je Jelena Ćuruvija.

Predsjednik Povjerenstva za istraživanje ubojstava novinara Veran Matić također je zadovoljan presudom.

- Ovo je vrlo važna poruka, prije svega za obitelj i kolege Slavka Ćuruvije, ali i za sve novinare u Srbiji, zaključio je.
