Afrička kuga svinja jedna je od najopasnijih bolesti od koje ta životinja može oboljeti, tvrdi Sonja Radojičić sa Katedre za zarazne bolesti životinja i bolesti pčela Fakulteta veterinarske medicine u Beogradu, naglašavajući da ljudi ne mogu oboljeti, ali da konzumacija zaraženog mesa može doprinijeti novom širenju zaraze, piše danas.rs.

Profesorica Radojičić ističe da ta bolest predstavlja najozbiljnu prijetnju za proizvodnju svinja, sigurnost hrane i biodiverzitet na svjetskoj razini.

U svim zemljama u kojima se svinjska kuga pojavila, došlo je do značajnog pada proizvodnje svinja i ogromnih ekonomskih šteta koje najteže pogađaju ljude koji žive od ove vrste proizvodnje, rekla je Radojičić.

Prema njezinim riječima, broj uginulih životinja ovisi o virulenciji soja virusa kao i o tijeku bolesti.

“Ukoliko svinje obole u akutnom toku, mortalitet je i do 100 posto. U subakutnom toku, ugine i do 70 posto oboljelih životinja, dok je za kroničan tok karakterističan niži postotak mortaliteta”, istakla je Radojičić.

Kako je naglasila, posebno je opasno ostaviti da se "stvari riješe same od sebe", zato što preživjele svinje postaju kliconoše i kao takve predstavljaju stalni izvor virusa koji je izrazito otporan.

Osim toga, životinje u subakutnom i posebno kroničnom tijeku mogu bolovati i više mjeseci, a u takvim okolnostima nema apsolutno nikakve proizvodnje u svinjarstvu. Ipak, kuga nije opasna po ljude, naglašava profesorica i dodaje da su na taj virus osjetljive samo svinje.

Usprkos tome, to nikako ne znači da ljudi trebaju koristiti meso oboljelih, odnosno laboratorijski pozitivnih životinja.

“Meso podrijetlom od takvih životinja prije svega nije higijenski ispravno i kao takvo nije za ljudsku prehranu. Ako se takvo meso ili prerađevine nađu u prodaji, one, zbog otpornosti virusa, predstavljaju ogroman rizik da se uzročnik preko ljudi ponovo unese na farme ili objekte u kojima se gaje svinje”, objasnila je Radojičić.

Profesorica Radojičić ističe da ta bolest predstavlja najozbiljnu prijetnju za proizvodnju svinja, sigurnost hrane i biodiverzitet na svjetskoj razini.

U svim zemljama u kojima se svinjska kuga pojavila, došlo je do značajnog pada proizvodnje svinja i ogromnih ekonomskih šteta koje najteže pogađaju ljude koji žive od ove vrste proizvodnje, rekla je Radojičić.

Prema njezinim riječima, broj uginulih životinja ovisi o virulenciji soja virusa kao i o tijeku bolesti.

“Ukoliko svinje obole u akutnom toku, mortalitet je i do 100 posto. U subakutnom toku, ugine i do 70 posto oboljelih životinja, dok je za kroničan tok karakterističan niži postotak mortaliteta”, istakla je Radojičić.

Kako je naglasila, posebno je opasno ostaviti da se "stvari riješe same od sebe", zato što preživjele svinje postaju kliconoše i kao takve predstavljaju stalni izvor virusa koji je izrazito otporan.

Osim toga, životinje u subakutnom i posebno kroničnom tijeku mogu bolovati i više mjeseci, a u takvim okolnostima nema apsolutno nikakve proizvodnje u svinjarstvu. Ipak, kuga nije opasna po ljude, naglašava profesorica i dodaje da su na taj virus osjetljive samo svinje.

Usprkos tome, to nikako ne znači da ljudi trebaju koristiti meso oboljelih, odnosno laboratorijski pozitivnih životinja.

“Meso podrijetlom od takvih životinja prije svega nije higijenski ispravno i kao takvo nije za ljudsku prehranu. Ako se takvo meso ili prerađevine nađu u prodaji, one, zbog otpornosti virusa, predstavljaju ogroman rizik da se uzročnik preko ljudi ponovo unese na farme ili objekte u kojima se gaje svinje”, objasnila je Radojičić.

Afrička kuga svinja jedna je od najopasnijih bolesti od koje ta životinja može oboljeti, tvrdi Sonja Radojičić sa Katedre za zarazne bolesti životinja i bolesti pčela Fakulteta veterinarske medicine u Beogradu, naglašavajući da ljudi ne mogu oboljeti, ali da konzumacija zaraženog mesa može doprinijeti novom širenju zaraze, piše danas.rs.
