Povodom blagdana Svih svetih i Dušnog dana, potpredsjednik Vlade i ministar hrvatskih branitelja Tomo Medved danas je položio vijenac i zapalio svijeću na Memorijalnom groblju žrtava Domovinskog rata u Vukovaru, odajući počast svim žrtvama stradalima u velikosrpskoj agresiji na Vukovar.

„Ne zaboravljamo žrtvu naših hrvatskih branitelja, posebno u ove dane kada se sjećamo svih naših mrtvih, a na poseban način su u našim srcima i mislima prisutne žrtve iz Domovinskog rata,“ istaknuo je  ministar Medved.  

Nakon odavanja počasti na Memorijalnom groblju posjetio je novootvoreni obnovljeni Vukovarski vodotoranj – simbol hrvatskog zajedništva s gradonačelnikom Grada Vukovara, saborskim zastupnikom Ivanom Penavom te predstavnicima Grada Vukovara i županije Vukovarsko-srijemske. Uz potpredsjednika Vlade bili su ministar obrane Mario Banožić, državni tajnik u Ministarstvu hrvatskih branitelja Stjepan Sučić i ravnatelj Memorijalnog centra Domovinskog rata u Vukovaru Krunoslav Šeremet te posljednji zapovjednik obrane Vukovara Branko Borković.

„Iznimno me raduje što je završena obnova simbola otpora, hrabrosti i zajedništva -  Vukovarskog vodotornja. Vlada Republike Hrvatske je od samog početka podržala obnovu Vodotornja i  još je 2016. godine na sjednici održanoj u Vukovaru izražena potpora te je, zaključno s ovom fazom obnove, Vlada sufinancirala obnovu Vukovarskog vodotornja s više od 20 milijuna kuna,“ rekao je potpredsjednik Vlade Medved.

„Vodotoranj je simbol zajedništva u Domovinskom ratu, bio je simbol zajedništva tijekom obnove, a i sada je u perspektivi simbol zajedništva hrvatskoga naroda. Smatram posebno važnim naglasiti da imamo ovdje u Vukovaru Memorijalni centar Domovinskog rata u koji dolaze učenici osmih razreda osnovnih škola i da će Vodotoranj biti jedna od pozicija koje će djeca tijekom obilaska Vukovara posjetiti. Sadržaj koji se prikazuje u Vodotornju omogućava svima uvid u teške okolnosti i hrabrost hrvatskih branitelja u svemu što su prošli za slobodu koju danas uživamo,“ istaknuo je potpredsjednik Medved.

Potpredsjednik Vlade Medved naglasio je kako obnovljeni vodotoranj odašilje snažnu poruku hrvatskom narodu da gradimo perspektivno društvo ne zaboravljajući našu žrtvu, naše hrabre hrvatske branitelje i sve što smo proživjeli u našoj novijoj povijesti.

"Ovo je velebno djelo, prepuno simbolike, vjerujem da će i za buduće generacije biti simbol onoga što je bio u Domovinskom ratu, što je bio i u ovom procesu obnove – simbol zajedništva, snage i perspektive. Očekujem da će mlade generacije dolaskom ovdje dobiti još jasniju sliku o onome što se događalo 1991. godine u Gradu Heroju, a naša trobojnica neka se ponosno zauvijek vije na našem obnovljenom Vodotornju u Gradu Heroju, našem Vukovaru," poručio je Medved.

Povodom nadolazeće obljetnice stradanja hrvatskih branitelja i mještana Bogdanovaca te ususret blagdanu Svih svetih, potpredsjednik Vlade Tomo Medved polaganjem vijenca i paljenjem svijeće kod mjesnog spomen-obilježja odao je počast i žrtvama stradalima u Domovinskom ratu.

Povodom blagdana Svih svetih i Dušnog dana, potpredsjednik Vlade i ministar hrvatskih branitelja Tomo Medved danas je položio vijenac i zapalio svijeću na Memorijalnom groblju žrtava Domovinskog rata u Vukovaru, odajući počast svim žrtvama stradalima u velikosrpskoj agresiji na Vukovar.

„Ne zaboravljamo žrtvu naših hrvatskih branitelja, posebno u ove dane kada se sjećamo svih naših mrtvih, a na poseban način su u našim srcima i mislima prisutne žrtve iz Domovinskog rata,“ istaknuo je  ministar Medved.  

Nakon odavanja počasti na Memorijalnom groblju posjetio je novootvoreni obnovljeni Vukovarski vodotoranj – simbol hrvatskog zajedništva s gradonačelnikom Grada Vukovara, saborskim zastupnikom Ivanom Penavom te predstavnicima Grada Vukovara i županije Vukovarsko-srijemske. Uz potpredsjednika Vlade bili su ministar obrane Mario Banožić, državni tajnik u Ministarstvu hrvatskih branitelja Stjepan Sučić i ravnatelj Memorijalnog centra Domovinskog rata u Vukovaru Krunoslav Šeremet te posljednji zapovjednik obrane Vukovara Branko Borković.

„Iznimno me raduje što je završena obnova simbola otpora, hrabrosti i zajedništva -  Vukovarskog vodotornja. Vlada Republike Hrvatske je od samog početka podržala obnovu Vodotornja i  još je 2016. godine na sjednici održanoj u Vukovaru izražena potpora te je, zaključno s ovom fazom obnove, Vlada sufinancirala obnovu Vukovarskog vodotornja s više od 20 milijuna kuna,“ rekao je potpredsjednik Vlade Medved.

„Vodotoranj je simbol zajedništva u Domovinskom ratu, bio je simbol zajedništva tijekom obnove, a i sada je u perspektivi simbol zajedništva hrvatskoga naroda. Smatram posebno važnim naglasiti da imamo ovdje u Vukovaru Memorijalni centar Domovinskog rata u koji dolaze učenici osmih razreda osnovnih škola i da će Vodotoranj biti jedna od pozicija koje će djeca tijekom obilaska Vukovara posjetiti. Sadržaj koji se prikazuje u Vodotornju omogućava svima uvid u teške okolnosti i hrabrost hrvatskih branitelja u svemu što su prošli za slobodu koju danas uživamo,“ istaknuo je potpredsjednik Medved.

Potpredsjednik Vlade Medved naglasio je kako obnovljeni vodotoranj odašilje snažnu poruku hrvatskom narodu da gradimo perspektivno društvo ne zaboravljajući našu žrtvu, naše hrabre hrvatske branitelje i sve što smo proživjeli u našoj novijoj povijesti.

"Ovo je velebno djelo, prepuno simbolike, vjerujem da će i za buduće generacije biti simbol onoga što je bio u Domovinskom ratu, što je bio i u ovom procesu obnove – simbol zajedništva, snage i perspektive. Očekujem da će mlade generacije dolaskom ovdje dobiti još jasniju sliku o onome što se događalo 1991. godine u Gradu Heroju, a naša trobojnica neka se ponosno zauvijek vije na našem obnovljenom Vodotornju u Gradu Heroju, našem Vukovaru," poručio je Medved.

Povodom nadolazeće obljetnice stradanja hrvatskih branitelja i mještana Bogdanovaca te ususret blagdanu Svih svetih, potpredsjednik Vlade Tomo Medved polaganjem vijenca i paljenjem svijeće kod mjesnog spomen-obilježja odao je počast i žrtvama stradalima u Domovinskom ratu.

Ministar Medved odao počast svim žrtvama stradalima u velikosrpskoj agresiji na Vukovar, a obišao je i obnovljeni Vodotoranj

Povodom blagdana Svih svetih i Dušnog dana, potpredsjednik Vlade i ministar hrvatskih branitelja Tomo Medved danas je položio vijenac i zapalio svijeću na Memorijalnom groblju žrtava Domovinskog rata u Vukovaru, odajući počast svim žrtvama stradalima u velikosrpskoj agresiji na Vukovar.

„Ne zaboravljamo žrtvu naših hrvatskih branitelja, posebno u ove dane kada se sjećamo svih naših mrtvih, a na poseban način su u našim srcima i mislima prisutne žrtve iz Domovinskog rata,“ istaknuo je  ministar Medved.  

Nakon odavanja počasti na Memorijalnom groblju posjetio je novootvoreni obnovljeni Vukovarski vodotoranj – simbol hrvatskog zajedništva s gradonačelnikom Grada Vukovara, saborskim zastupnikom Ivanom Penavom te predstavnicima Grada Vukovara i županije Vukovarsko-srije...
