Ovi izbori mogli su se shvatiti i kao neka vrsta referenduma na kojemu se od birača tražio odgovor na pitanje: Je li HDZ krao puno ili malo? Osam godina nije bilo dovoljno da bi se ozbiljnom broju naših građana otvorile oči, oni su zaželjeli repete.

Potpora HDZ-u je, doduše, nešto manja nego prije četiri godine, ali drukčiji rasplet nije niti bio moguć. Da smo na vlasti imali garnituru koja nije zamračila ni jedan jedni euro, nakon osam godina ona bi dodijala i bogu i vragu, a kamoli tek ćudljivim biračima.

Treći mandat u nizu naprosto je preveliki zalogaj i njega su samo rijetki kadri zagristi. U tom smislu, HDZ je dobro prošao. Prošao je ustvari odlično kad tome dodamo činjenicu da se u zadnjih pola godine blamirao cijelom serijom skandala koji su kulminirali očajničkim ustrajavanjem na temeljito kompromitiranom kandidatu za glavnog državnog odvjetnika.

U nekom pravednijem i pametnijem svijetu, od HDZ-a su u srijedu navečer trebali ostati samo dugmići, da se poslužim frazom iz kultnog filma "Maratonci trče počasni krug". Ali nisu, HDZ je još uvijek živ-živcat. I za taj smo rasplet sami krivi.

K tome, on je davno naučio lekciju kako su koalicije skupe, a žetončići jeftini. Dok SDP-ovci budu pregovarali sa strankama koje bi mogle podržati Milanovićevu vladu nacionalnog spasa - i pritom pristajati na ustupke koji će potkopati njihovu vjerodostojnost - zajedničari će među budućim parlamentarnim zastupnicima tražiti one s malo fleksibilnijim shvaćanjem morala.

I mogao bih se kladiti da će ih naći, samo je pitanje koliko. Njima će dati ponudu koja se, doduše, može odbiti, ali je to prilično neisplativo, barem sa stajališta naših sitnih džepara s političkim ambicijama.

Sve i kada bi Plenkovići i pajdaši ipak izvisili, a Zoran Milanović došao u poziciju da mandat za sastavljanje vlade ponudi Zoranu Milanoviću, jedna je stvar izvjesna: još od prvoga sata HDZ bi započeo s projektom opstrukcije nove vlasti, ne libeći se pritom najnižih poteza, evocirajući uspomene na dane ponosa i slave kad su plinske boce doživljavane kao legitimni accessoire prosvjednika. U tom slučaju, nova vlast ne bi imala vremena voditi državu, jer bi bila zaokupljena samo jednom zadaćom: golim opstankom.

Ovi izbori mogli su se shvatiti i kao neka vrsta referenduma na kojemu se od birača tražio odgovor na pitanje: Je li HDZ krao puno ili malo? Osam godina nije bilo dovoljno da bi se ozbiljnom broju naših građana otvorile oči, oni su zaželjeli repete.

Potpora HDZ-u je, doduše, nešto manja nego prije četiri godine, ali drukčiji rasplet nije niti bio moguć. Da smo na vlasti imali garnituru koja nije zamračila ni jedan jedni euro, nakon osam godina ona bi dodijala i bogu i vragu, a kamoli tek ćudljivim biračima.

Treći mandat u nizu naprosto je preveliki zalogaj i njega su samo rijetki kadri zagristi. U tom smislu, HDZ je dobro prošao. Prošao je ustvari odlično kad tome dodamo činjenicu da se u zadnjih pola godine blamirao cijelom serijom skandala koji su kulminirali očajničkim ustrajavanjem na temeljito kompromitiranom kandidatu za glavnog državnog odvjetnika.

U nekom pravednijem i pametnijem svijetu, od HDZ-a su u srijedu navečer trebali ostati samo dugmići, da se poslužim frazom iz kultnog filma "Maratonci trče počasni krug". Ali nisu, HDZ je još uvijek živ-živcat. I za taj smo rasplet sami krivi.

K tome, on je davno naučio lekciju kako su koalicije skupe, a žetončići jeftini. Dok SDP-ovci budu pregovarali sa strankama koje bi mogle podržati Milanovićevu vladu nacionalnog spasa - i pritom pristajati na ustupke koji će potkopati njihovu vjerodostojnost - zajedničari će među budućim parlamentarnim zastupnicima tražiti one s malo fleksibilnijim shvaćanjem morala.

I mogao bih se kladiti da će ih naći, samo je pitanje koliko. Njima će dati ponudu koja se, doduše, može odbiti, ali je to prilično neisplativo, barem sa stajališta naših sitnih džepara s političkim ambicijama.

Sve i kada bi Plenkovići i pajdaši ipak izvisili, a Zoran Milanović došao u poziciju da mandat za sastavljanje vlade ponudi Zoranu Milanoviću, jedna je stvar izvjesna: još od prvoga sata HDZ bi započeo s projektom opstrukcije nove vlasti, ne libeći se pritom najnižih poteza, evocirajući uspomene na dane ponosa i slave kad su plinske boce doživljavane kao legitimni accessoire prosvjednika. U tom slučaju, nova vlast ne bi imala vremena voditi državu, jer bi bila zaokupljena samo jednom zadaćom: golim opstankom.
