Pred stotinjak Vrgorčana profesor Zdravko Tomac održao je u petak predavanje na temu "Tuđman i moderna Hrvatska.

Tribina kojom je Vrgorac želio odati počast prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku trajala je preko dva sata.

Za vrijeme svog izlaganja profesor Tomac ukazivao je na ključne događaje iz novije hrvatske povijesti. Istaknuo je kako je dr. Tuđman u novijoj hrvatskoj povijesti jedini državnik, a svi ostali su samo političari.

- Najviše što političar za života može učiniti je da stvori i obrani državu, Tuđman je to učinio i to mu nitko ne može osporiti, rekao je između ostaloga profesor Tomac.

- Put stvaranja moderne hrvatske nije bio lak i dr. Tuđman je često morao praviti kompromise i ponekad, kratkoročno gledano, štetne ugovore, a sve s ciljem da dobije na vremenu kako bi stvorio hrvatsku vojsku koja će osloboditi zemlju, istaknuo je Tomac.

Tomac je kazao kako najviše zamjera Tuđmanu što energičnije nije branio Bosansku posavinu, te njegovo ponašanje prilikom zagrebačke krize gradske vlasti.

Međutim, na kraju iscrpnog predavanja profesor Tomac je pozvao sve okupljene da čuvaju uspomenu na prvog hrvatskog predsjednika bez kojeg novija hrvatska povijest sasvim sigurno ne bi bila ista.

Pred stotinjak Vrgorčana profesor Zdravko Tomac održao je u petak predavanje na temu "Tuđman i moderna Hrvatska.

Tribina kojom je Vrgorac želio odati počast prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku trajala je preko dva sata.

Za vrijeme svog izlaganja profesor Tomac ukazivao je na ključne događaje iz novije hrvatske povijesti. Istaknuo je kako je dr. Tuđman u novijoj hrvatskoj povijesti jedini državnik, a svi ostali su samo političari.

- Najviše što političar za života može učiniti je da stvori i obrani državu, Tuđman je to učinio i to mu nitko ne može osporiti, rekao je između ostaloga profesor Tomac.

- Put stvaranja moderne hrvatske nije bio lak i dr. Tuđman je često morao praviti kompromise i ponekad, kratkoročno gledano, štetne ugovore, a sve s ciljem da dobije na vremenu kako bi stvorio hrvatsku vojsku koja će osloboditi zemlju, istaknuo je Tomac.

Tomac je kazao kako najviše zamjera Tuđmanu što energičnije nije branio Bosansku posavinu, te njegovo ponašanje prilikom zagrebačke krize gradske vlasti.

Međutim, na kraju iscrpnog predavanja profesor Tomac je pozvao sve okupljene da čuvaju uspomenu na prvog hrvatskog predsjednika bez kojeg novija hrvatska povijest sasvim sigurno ne bi bila ista.
